Hey Buddy it's ok. Our Mom's are very busy. Yes we do have a very crazy house and Mom does a pretty good job at keeping us all in line too..LOL I was born in Mom's house. My Mom and Dad live here too but they have not had any more kids since me and my brother Ziggy. That was back in 04. Mom says they are not together any more. My name is Tat2. I am a Red Lored too. I was born in my mom's hand but I have lots of brothers and sisters who are rescues too. I am part of a flock of 37 birds and 20 of us are Amazons. 4 Red Loreds. One of us is a salvin's red lored which a sub species of ours. Hope you still like your new home. Are you eating better now? We eat really well. Mom cooks for us everyday. Mom says who could resist you with a face like yours?..lol We love your motto. It's perfect. We love you already.

All the pretty colors
So it's the end of the month, and fall is finally starting to settle upon us here. Summer went by so fast for me. I lost my second home and found my third. I've been with my new mom now for about five months and I've really started to settle in. The leaves are starting to change color. Lots of red, orange and yellow. It's very pretty in NH this time of year. Apple picking is coming to a close so mom is hoping to get some picking in soon (not that I like apples all that much, but they are one of Pippins favorites). The weather is surprisingly still very warm, but mom and I hear that is soon to change. Whether we like it or not snow is on it's way, brrr! We've has some baby birds come and go and now the house is relatively quiet again. I hope you've had a wonderfull summer and fall, and I'll talk to you soon.

I'm glad to hear you are getting along with the Grey. Pippin and I fight like cats and dogs! Hmm smelly huh? Well mom says I had a little bit of and oder when she adopted me. But since I've been home and put on a good diet and given lots of showers I don't smell as much. I do still have a slightly almost faint musty smell. But mom says it normal to have some oder. How ofter do you get a shower?

Thank you for visiting me. Your story is really sad. I'm sure glad your mommy and daddy found you. You will have a good life now and eat good healthy food too. Yea, some of those humans out there, even some breeders, just don't care about us. We are stuck in a cage and can't get food for ourselves or hang out. But you, I and many others are forntunate to have good parents who care. You ott to try vegies if you haven't. I love my veggies and the sunshine too. My cage is by near a window and the sun is great. My dad takes me to work with him and all his friends visit with me, it is sooooo much fun to have sooooo much attention. Of course, where my dad works they care for humans and try to get their life back on track rather than do drugs. My dad is a drug and alcohol counselor and works with teenagers. Boy, they can be an handful at times. They all like me and want to hold me. They get so excited and so do I. I'll even talk for them and that makes them feel real good. Doctors...yuck!
I went to the vet on Saturday. I just had my nails trimed and my flight feathers trimed. I wasn't too bad, but the vet trying to pet my wings and back. I would growl a little bit to let him know I didn't like that. Mom even told him that I won't let her do that yet, but he just kept pushing it. So in the end I had to give him a little pinch, it didn't break the skin but I think it got my point across. I am being really good with mom though. I've started letting her rub my beak and give me head scritches. I even gave her a kiss the other day. Oh and get this I weighed in at a whopping 600g! The vet said for my size I'm not overweight (phew), but that I am a "stocky" bird. So mom has been keeping a close eye on the amount of treats I'm getting. Nice to hear things are going good for you. Try not to give your mom too hard of a time.

Hows the beak
So have you been to the vet yet? Mom is makeing me one soon, I have to have my nails and wings trimed. She says my nails are like talons. I'm no hawk! Although I will admit they are getting a bit long. Mom is a bit too nervous to do it herself...I guess I can't blam her. I wouldn't want to clip her nails either ;) I'll talk to you later.

Just flew in to visit. You are beautiful. I am not sure what kind of an Amazon you are. I have a flock member whose name is Tango who is a Blue Front. We sometimes get along but not always. Hi my name is Ollie, welcome to the channel. I had a friend named Crunky that had the same beak problem as you (he was adopted by a friend of my mom's). But after getting on a good diet and having the vet file it down a few times it actually corrected itself. The vet was amazed, he didn't think it would. So how long have you been with your new family? I've been with my new mom a little over a month. Right now I'm on a diet, she only gives me peanuts every once in a great while, it's not fair!
