Owner's note: Since you are local I just thought I would mention: Cheeky came from a pet store but PeeWee was adopted from M.A.R.S (Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary). If you are not familiar with them, try to visit sometime. They are usually open on Saturday as well as a couple of days a week. `Ǖ´ He's Tough...He's TONKA ! ! ! Hi Pretty Boy! Momma showed me your picture in the 'Hollywood Dream Cage Contest'. And it reminded me of the baby Amazons that I lived with at the bird store where she and Daddy found me. There were Amazons in lots of the cages all around mine, and I just think you are so much fun! Momma has learned a little about your breed since she decided to bring me home, and now neither one of us can resist a birdie as CUTE as YOU!! ~~ I know what you mean about falling off your playstand. But when you're as big as I am, even Momma thinks it's scary! Once she makes sure that I'm OK (and that I haven't hurt a cat by landing on it or anything), THEN she laughs a little about the look that was on my face when she picked me up. And I laugh right along with her! And, you know the funny thing is, it's usually my fister, Rosalie, who's to blame for scaring me too! Why do our older fiblings always do that to us? ~~ One other thing that makes us (and our moms) sound alike is one of Momma's nicknames for me. Sometimes she calls me 'Big Foot'. But, I don't think that's very nice. Do you, Mr. Man? ~~ Well, even though you've been in these birdie pages longer than me, I wish to say 'Welcome' to a fellow young bird. Hello Tonka Welcome to the birdchannel. You will make lots and lots of friends, I did. When I was little I used to fall off my perch too. I would get sooooo scared. My dad would always rescue me and keep me safe. I love my dad. He gets me as soon as he comes home from work and lets me hang out with him on his shoulder. I'll be six in just over a month. I have been with my dad since I was only three months old. He feeds me everything he eats accept chocolate and tea. Dad never really cared much for avacodo, so don't have to worry about getting that stuff. It is so neat that you have lots of toys, I do too. My dad gets new ones everytime he goes to a bird fair. There's a lot of those in Missouri and he gets toys real cheap. Stop in a visit sometime. I love visits too. Here's a vote for a very handsome boy from your friend, Poko. Hello from Ollie Hey Tonka welcome to the channel. Hate to break it to you but balance doesn't always come with age. I'm seven and I still fall tail feathers over head off my playstand almost on a dialy basis. Mom will usually ask me what I'm doing before helping me back up. Real nice mom!
