 Silver was at the local pet store up the road from my apartment (This store is my favorite place to go, i know the owner and she treats her animals so incredibly well!) and she was in with the baby cockatiels, but it was obvious that not only was she older, but she was in the process of egg-laying. She had been there for months and i knew that it was unlikely that, having been turned in by a college student who couldn't be bothered to take proper care of her, she was unlikely to find a home at her age and tender condition. I begged my fiance to let me save her and give her a forever home, but he refused. However, the next day, he brought me home a box full of something flapping and scratching, and my little Silver came home for the first time.. |
