my grand-daughter (then 3 yrs. old) + I walked into the pet shop - We both fell in love with Caper - and Grace agreed that when she is big - caper will be her bird ( as caper has a life expectancy of 50 years - I remind her that I probably will need her help with caper later on.).

My name is caper I am a Canary-Winged Parakeet from Daly City, CA. caper is a little pickle also a little adventure, and often both at the same time... she is caper 12 years old F Canary-Winged Parakeet her favorite is milk and milk products... we have switched to soy milk - hoping this is better for her. on my shoulder I don't like anyone encroaching on my cage space. AND my bedtime is very important, everyone must abide by a dark to dawn schedule... She can read my body language pretty well, knows when to leave me alone, or when I need a good petting... I want out of my cage, but no one is allowed near my cage! they must levitate the door open and help me out. "NO BITING!" also " Good Bird!".
