 I was abused by a very mean person who didn't let me out of my cage for 3 years. They underfed me,and exposed me to drugs and alcohol, and my mom found out and came to save me. Update:I am doing so good!! Stepping up, and tolerating Dad, even playing with toys and socializing! My parents love and cuddle me bunches, especially Mom.. |

Hey Boogie
We just got word this weekend that they are getting dogs!! Puppies!!! Beagles!!! 2 of them!!! They are coming home in 3 weeks...Oh crap....I guess we are going to learn how to howl. I don't know about you guys but I have been very cranky, and so has Murphy. MOm says i f we keep this up we aren't going anywhere fo a while. Murphy bit Mom ans Thomas good...drew blood and everything. Mom was sick for a week and didn't hold us and we are kind of ticked off. We have mom thinking love is in the air, too, let's see how long we can pull this off...hopefully we can get our act together before next meeting. Tell Weed and the chicken we said hello...give Dorian and Princess Sasha kisses!Come visit me, Mr Blue, murphy & kazoo.

Hi Boogie!!!
We all had a blast!! We plan on going all the time, especially since we behaved really well. Right now we are having our daily screamfest. If you get Bird Talk magazine, last issue. page 10 under my birds favorite song, Kazoo was published. Mom made copies and had him autobeak them for all his fans!!! Health Check
Well I had my yearly vet visit. My vet said I'm the heaviest I've been. He told my dad that my weight is fine though. He said I looked and felt like I got good excersize. Especially when I wrestle and win with those vet assistants..ha, ha, ha! I've been flying more than I used to. Sometimes I fly at my dad to tell him I'm the boss...My dad tells me to stop and if I don't be good, I may get a time-in (my cage). My dad stands up to me, and I respect that even though I want to be top bird...I'll let dad think he is for a little more time.LOL. Anyway other than that, the vet said I was A-O-K and he thought mom and dad does good to me. OscarCome visit me, Skippy, Oscar & Sugar.

Guess what??
My mom has a good friend that just adopted a Yellow Crown Amazon. She said he is a real sweet heart, and is getting along well with all the other birds. Mom is going to go see him next week. Plus mom's friend wants to set up a play date so he and I can meet, hmmm I'm not sure about that. Well I'm off talk to you later.

That will be nice, one year with your family. I'm glad your feeling better! It's no fun when we're not well. Hmm Granny Smiths you say, maybe mom will pick me some, I'll have to give it a try I suppose. So far the only fruit mom has gotten me to eat is a bite or two of banana. Pippin loves Gala and Pink Lady Apples, so mom usually picks quite a few of those (she likes the gala herself). All the wonderfull colors
So it's the end of the month, and fall is finally starting to settle upon us here. Summer went by so fast for me. I lost my second home and found my third. I've been with my new mom now for about five months and I've really started to settle in. The leaves are starting to change color. Lots of red, orange and yellow. It's very pretty in NH this time of year. Apple picking is coming to a close so mom is hoping to get some picking in soon (not that I like apples all that much, but they are one of Pippins favorites). The weather is surprisingly still very warm, but mom and I hear that is soon to change. Whether we like it or not snow is on it's way, brrr! We've has some baby birds come and go and now the house is relatively quiet again. I hope you've had a wonderfull summer and fall, and I'll talk to you soon.

I'm so happy to read you are making progress. That makes two of us. It's amazing what living with a loving family can do for ones spirit. Mom puts up with me even when I'm being naughty. Although I will say she dosn't let me get away with anything! Good to hear you are tolerating your dad. I had to go to the vet a couple of weeks ago and mom was very impressed with how good with the vet I was. I only got grumpy when he tried to pet my back, but mom warned him about that and he just had to push it...so I pushed back...a little. :) By the way love the picture with you getting your head scratched!

I bet you just love to come out and stretch those wings. I like cheek and under the beak scratches too.
