I had planned on purchasing a Parrotlet and the day before the breeder was to deliver it to me bad new arrived. It seems that while the breeder was clipping his wings, the son came through the front door at which time the Parrotlet escaped out the front door. He sailed offd into the wild blue yonder. So I did a little more investigating and decided on a Sun Conure. The same breeder delivered the sweetest little hand-fed baby the next day or so. We hit it right off..

Hi! My name is I have a name, its Lolli-pop or Lolli for short

I am a Sun Conure from Visalia, CA.

Sweet Pea, Lolli, pretty bird

7 years old   F

Sun Conure

I like nuts, the kind I can eat, and of course goodies are wonderful too.

My favorite spot is on the top of my rope perch, which is at the top of the cage.

Those two dogs just can not stand it when I am the center of attention

I love all of the great food my mommie fixes for me. It is also great fun playing Step up and down. She sure wants me to say "Thats Hot" really bad. She says it to me every time I turn around. She must think I am Paris Hilton or Nichole Richie.

I like to get in my birdie hut and ignore my mommie when the sun goes down..

Screeching sure does get everyones attention, especially those two little dogs, they haven't figured me out yet:).

  Hello
Boy it is hard finding just the right name!! I do like the previous suggestions of Peaches, Mango or Sunny. Although I can relate to the "Do the bird a fav." person's story!!!
I had 2 peach faced lovebirds, I called one "Schreech" that's what he liked to do. Well I brought him home from the pet shop where I asked the breeder herself "Is this a Male or Female?" She swore up and down it was a male. Guess what it turned out to be a female!! Imagine my surprise to find little eggs sitting in her cage one day!! A classmate of mine was a breeder of peach faced lovebirds and asked "would you like to have one?" I said "Sure!! " I brought this baby home (her name is Charlie, unisex name) and put it in a seperate cage, but put that cage in the same room so they could get used to each other. 2 monthes went by, i bought a bigger cage and put both of them in it (supervised all the time by me for the first 2 weeks). They were getting along fine. Well, I had notice Screech had laid eggs agian.
They were still fine together, until one night I heard this huge squawking commotion. I ran to uncover the cage and saw that the one peachfaced had killed the other!!! What a shock!! Turns out that they were both Females!! The fight was over the eggs. Charlie killed Screech!! Turns out they were both Females all along.
How do I know Charlie is a female, you ask? I had her sexed and the day I find out (evening time) she had laid an egg in the morning and had been shredding paper like it was going out of style (nesting, i had read about it). what a way to find out you had 2 Females though.
I'm scared to put another lovebird in her cage or (another cage). She's been by herself for 7 years now. Sad but we spoil her.
Anyway sorry for the long story. I hope you find the proper name for that pretty bird soon.
Brandee and Charlie.

Come visit me, Charlie.

  Hello
You sure are beautiful. How about the name Sunny? Or maybe even Peaches or Mango for the color of the head.

  Do the bird a Fav.
Don't name it some trendy name this bird should live 30 years and all the MTV BS will be over stick with the classics . Greek gods and heros , Tropical names ,and others. Also you stated Female is it from a DNA Test because I know of a few folks like my son who named a bird one gender name and it was the other. Sonny,Pepper,Kelly, taco, works for both sex even thou I don't love these names they work. this is just an opion and everyone has one. also you know what you want to call it so just go ahead and call it Paris.

Come visit me, Pepper & Hercules.

  naming your Sun!
Hey, I'll send you a vote! Finding the right name is hard; no one can do it for you! I'll just offer this: Paris is my favorite city in the world, but it rains ALL the time!!! No name for a SUN conure! Why don't you think about the south of France? A name like Provence or Nice or Marseille? Or maybe Monaco? (I just named a sunny-colored budgie Italy!) Let us all know what you decide!

Come visit me, Eureka, Glory, Cluny, Pascal, Camelot & Amboise.
