Hi Leon!
Caymus here! Long time, no squawk…how have you been? It’s a nice sunshiny day here. Today mom gives me a bath with the spray bottle and then I get to wipe my face on her shirt, shake the water from my feathers onto her face, and soak up the rays while I dry off. Mom says I smell like a wet dog whenever I get a bath, and my skin-sis says I smell like a french fry. (???) Very odd humans! HAPPY EARTH DAY FROM CAYMUS
Happy Earth Day, Leon! Today is the day to celebrate our plant, do something positive to make it a better place, and to pass on that message to our future generations. Mom and I want to take this time to thank you for reading my “Green Ideas.” You know what the best part was? We have realized that all the BC parronts out there are the largest group of green-minded folks around! I mean, I send out an idea and I get tons of responses back that your flock is already doing these things! Now, I know there are a lot of really good people out there with an appreciation for nature and the will power to save our plant. But for everybirdy here to all have that same ideal? My theory is that us birdies have a special influence on our humans. That when they look in our eyes, they see compassion. When they see us fly, they know our hearts. And when they feel our feathers against their skin, they know that the trust we give them comes from a spirit within us all. I’m so honored to be a part of this BC family, and so my final “green idea of the day” is to BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER…WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!Come visit me, Blanche, Caymus & Peachy - ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.

It’s a quiet day today…just hanging out listening to some Jimmy Buffet (hey, I’m a Florida bird…what do you expect?) and pulling apart what little remains of the toy daddy bought for me on Sunday. Mom should be home by the time I’m finish with that, and then it’s toy rotation time! (CAYMUS’ "GREEN IDEA OF THE DAY": If every American switched to receiving just one bill as an electronic statement instead of a paper one, the one-time savings would be 217,800,000 sheets—enough to completely blanket the island of Key West in a single layer of paper. 5 more days until Earth Day!)Come visit me, Blanche, Caymus & Peachy - ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.

Hello from Caymus
Hi Leon, how was your weekend? It was warm and sunny here. And guess what? I got to spend most of the day Sunday outside on the patio! The kitties were shut in the house and mom brought my play stand outside. While I played mom cleaned off the patio and hosed down everything. I even got a little flight time. Ah, the breeze between my feathers and sunshine on my face…I love the great outdoors! And can you believe it…a Cooper’s Hawk landed on the fence while I was outside and I didn’t even squawk…I just sat there and watched, then continued to play. Mom said I’m either really brave or “mentally challenged.” Hey, I know mommy’s got my back! Well, gotta go yell at my skin sister.
