We used to have an Amazon named Merlin
I can't remember exactly what kind. Panama something I think but we named him Merlin.

sad news
Alex the famous Grey who worked with Dr. Irene Pepperberg, died this morning. Dr. Pepperberg must be absolutely devastated. I have copied what it says on the Alex Foundation website.--- We are deeply saddened to announce Alex died this morning of unknown causes. We will have a formal press release on Monday when we know the cause of death. He was absolutely fine yesterday and he was found dead this morning. Dr. Pepperberg will take the weekend to mourn his death. We hope to have more information on Monday We miss him so much. It sounds like a neat play to enjoy the great out-of-doors, here it is not hawks but mean kids and mean teens so we dont go out much. I dont want them in either. We have had all sorts of stuff stolen this summer, Mom met some girls she thought were friends and things started disappearing. They even used the phone and computer, and now we have men calling asking for them and it is so expensive to get numbers changed and since they stole the ATM cards and used them Grandma does not even have but l penny, really and if Grandma had money she would love to have a sun room, no cats, just birds and safe plants for decor. Your Mom loves you so very much. Hey, is mango really good? Aunt Bobbi always says mangos are horrible tasting, but then she is not a bird. Great motto. You are rather handsome. Good thinking on your brothers part to call home and talk to your Mom. Wow, you get a poster bed and you get to watch the fish. Be careful in your deck, always have your Mom with you or real nearby as hawks can tear into cages and screening and who knows what else. I think your Mom is so lucky, my Mom would like a grey and she also wants a pair of hyacinths. She wants to be a zoologist, she is 14 and a freshman at high school, school has its first real full day Monday.
