Alex the famous Grey who worked with Dr. Irene Pepperberg, died this morning. Dr. Pepperberg must be absolutely devastated. I have copied what it says on the Alex Foundation website.--- We are deeply saddened to announce Alex died this morning of unknown causes. We will have a formal press release on Monday when we know the cause of death. He was absolutely fine yesterday and he was found dead this morning. Dr. Pepperberg will take the weekend to mourn his death. We hope to have more information on Monday We miss him so much. So sorry about Lily. You are very pretty and soon to be very spoiled I bet, it is our lot in life to be spoiled and to look pretty, it makes our owners happy. You cannot spoil children, it backfires but you can spoil birds.
