I found out he had been there 4 wks & I decided he needed to come home with me & my husband.(even though we've never owned a bird before) It's the best thing I've done in a long time! Our "Empty Nest" was filled! He REALLY is the light of my life.(& he knows it). |

I am an Indian Ring-Necked Parakeet from Coral Springs, FL.
 Louie Lou, Baby Doll, Lovie, Pretty Boy, WoooWee, Good Boy,Mommy's Baby, Anything Mom comes up with! My Pumpkin.

 Indian Ring-Necked Parakeet
I love Cashews, they are my "Goodies". OATMEAL IS GREAT!! Who knew? Peanuts in shell are fun, green grapes and sips of my Mom's sweet ice tea or cooled hot tea!
 Mom's laptop screen makes a perfect perch & I can keep a "birds eye-view" on her typing for me! "Catnapping" on my corner perch or on my Mom's back when we're playing on her bed & watching TV at night. My Mom or Dad's shoulder where ever they go in the house. It's the nibby-nose thing!
 Touching my tail feathers. Especially when Libby grabs them when I get too close to her cage!
 My Mommy & Daddy talk to me so sweet and treat me as their baby boy. I get all kinds of treats & toys. I get to come out & play & watch TV shows together. Mom keeps my cage extra clean but I'm not too messy. Dad never held a bird but he lets me climb on his shoulder & I like his voice & giving him lots of kisses. They love me very much!!
 I play fetch with Mom.... I drop all my toys on the floor from everywhere to watch my Mom fetch them... again & again. I love showers & baths & even the rain, anywhere with my Mommy!!.
 3/26 My Birdie Adventures: Happy Day! My Mommy's Birdie website is open! Please visit it! We are all very excited because now she gets to work from home and spend more time with us. Kisses & love to all our BBFF's!!.

Well it is hard to believe but I have been in my new home now for 1 year. It doesn't see possible really. I am still pinching myself to see if it is only a dream. Mom had a BBQ this weekend to mark the occasion. Lots of our people friends came and it was so much fun. I even got to sit at the table right next to Mom when the meal was done. It was sort of nice to see my fister Monty Mae having to take the back seat for once. Hehehe. Hope all is well in you flock and you have a great week. HAPPY EASTER EARLY LOUIE
We going to be busy theses next few days so I'm flying in to say HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM ALL OF US. I'm going to help mom dye eggs tomorrow. The weather here has been really nice the last few days.its going to reach 62 degrees and sun out here so maybe Spring is going to finally arrive. we been setting in the fake tree by the window or on back of the couch doing our neighborhood watch. The other day we seen the neighbors cat walk up our driveway up the steps sat in front of our window we was yelling and barking at him. Do you think it bother him noooooooo. How dare him come in our yard he got his own yard.mom said he was a nice kitty to me no kitty is nice. Mom got her hair colored today and WADDLES laugh when she came home. Don't ask me why he did that it was not nice Mom hair the same color as always no funny color or anything He just thought it was funny I guess. She told him he was so funny hmmmm wonder what that mean? Good afternoon birdies. Today the parront has been on the streets most of the time. Today the weather is cold, is in the 60 range. We have been in cage confinement most of the time. The parront actually wants to have more free time but that seems never to happen to her. She works too much and is tired. Meanwhile Oki and I are in jail bored heee

That's funny, checking under Lacie first! Say, is that code still good for mom to use on the shopping she will be doing next week? Just asking...
The camera is not back, mom took that pic of her and the tiger from her facebook page, where Nghi had tagged her. There are also movies from the elephant show on there if you have access to her page.
This morning mom's other trainee showed up, YAY. She was a little afraid of the adult possums, but mom showed her how to get them interested in food, then clean around them. She was fine with the hawks, but not the possums, can you imagine? After that, mom did a little shopping for Easter, the ricotta and stuff for wedding soup at the local Italian store. Now she is with us, and waiting for the furnace tech to show up and hopefully, finally, finish the furnace! Hope you are having a good day, it's still cold here. Punkin here. Dad is doing as well as can be expected...one step forward two back kinda stuff. Surgery looks to be around end of April but they want to keep him in hospital since he passes clots quite often still. Makes Sophie and dad very unhappy cause they cant be together....mom says she plays 2nd fiddle but I never seen it. Anyhow, he's quite in good spirits and has many visits so that makes it easier.

Is our flock bigger? Well, when we first met you there was just Calico, Sunny, Alex and me. Now there are 15 of us. Emmie, a pretty green budgie is our newest. Blue and Jewel have hatched two beautiful baby love birds. Dad hand fed them and they have gone to their forever homes. You can go through our family photo album and see all of us.

We're always glad to see you on BC! Also, we were happy to see you stretch a hatchday into a 2 day celebration by being BOTD.
It was flurrying this morning, but this afternoon it's in the low 40s, so the snow is melting. With any luck, it will stay gone this time. It turns out that the flue pipes running straight through the garage were not so straight, so they bowed, allowing water to collect and run back into the furnace to short out the switch. Well, the guy who was here yesterday fixed that, installed a temporary switch, and should be back tomorrow or Thursday to install the correct one. Hopefully the furnace saga will end there! Again, parts are covered, but labor is not. Mom did 2 tours this late morning and early afternoon. 8th grade first, then 2nd. She loved the older ones, they were engaged and interested. The younger ones were too crowded, it was a group of 13 little ones and 4 adults, so it was probably hard for some of them to hear. One of the adults asked to see Polar World about 10 minutes before the end time of the tour, so mom had to race everyone to the opposite end of the hall to see at least the polar bear and the igluviak (igloo). She ran a few errands, so I'm last to blog today! Hope you are having a great day and getting lots of attention. You are so funny!!! I'm pretty sure that Lacie's eggs are not easter eggs! The easter eggs are all different colors and I'm also pretty sure they are much bigger! I wouldn't want you to face the Greyt Beak when you don't have to!!
I know I'll have fun coloring a few eggs with mom. The skin kids are all grown up but mom and I still color a few eggs every year! She like to do so why not? They ususally get made into egg salad or deviled eggs!! I don't like either of them!!!

Sam bows to King Louie! Happy Hatchday, your Majesty! What have I been hearing from Mom for a year? "Sammie, you should've seen Louie! He was such a remarkable birdy". Louie this and Louie that! Mom is a huge fan after meeting you & your good Momma at the Crazy Bird People's Party at Aunt Michele's home. It seem she was bowled over by your good looks & charm! I have to say, I pouted for a couple of days. I have forgiven her for being gone so long & then coming back talking about OTHER birds! I did get a new playstand out of her adventure, but I still haven't stayed on it for more than 2 minutes! Hey! It takes us greybirds more time to check it out! I just finally received my metal detector in the mail! And a bomb sniffing dog is coming in for the 3rd time just to make a sweep of it again. Never know when someone will sneak in & plant somethin' on it! I've bitten it about 12 times to let it know who's runnin' the show around here. Never can be too cautious is my motto!
