Yup, that sauce is just footie lickin' good! Had another tree come down yesterday and it took 7 more with it as it fell. Thank goodness it was not near the house or the power lines. The rain is making the ground so soggy that the poor trees can't stand up. Sounds like you got some rain there, too. You sure are a sweetie! Mom is thinking we won't get blogs done today because BC is slower than usual. It's frustrating, too, because she has to work tonight.
This morning mom attended a lecture by one of the vertebrate paleontologists about the mastodon in the Carnegie collection. It's showing some wear and tear, so it's going to Paleolab where they will do what they can to repair the damage and remount it later in the year. More interesting was the news about a new simian in China, 55 million years old, which is older than any primate found to date. It kind of clinches that primates evolved in Asia and moved to Africa later on.
Tonight mom is working in Dinosaur Hall for an evening event, so we have to be quick. Also, Willie is playing for the Keets today. Hope you are having a good day, hugs, Falco

Oh yes, that's why dad signed us up for online. We couldn't remember when to order the filter and which one .. it was very helpful.
Today, I was tossing all my toys as far as possible. This is good for my wing for baseball too. I think I made a new record today.
It was pretty nice today in the afternoon. The mornings are cool and evenings are cold. I hope summer brings us some summer weather!

we just had a cloudburst of rain at our house that was unbeleivable. it lasted about 15 minutes and was about 3 inches worth of rain. mom had just gotten in the car and pulled onto the main highway and cars were floating. a mile down the road it was perfectly dry.

even with all the controversy surrounding genetically modified foods called GMOs macdonalds has now decided to use genetically modified potatoes for their frenchfries. they will be called macdonalds frankenfries. please say no to this by boycotting them.

You made us laugh boy your parents did get a 3 for 1 . I'm setting here being my sweet self and defrosting a toy watching it rain .
I still don't like the perch but Lucy does. I seen here chewing at it now I'm watching her to see if she grows bumps like the perch or if that evil perch gets more bumps. I'm thinking about being nice to the cockatiels maybe they will let me stay with them they don't have any funny looking etches in there cage. The tube came out and brother slept most of the morning and part of afternoon . The nurse came in and did make Him cough a few times and then told him he needed to get up and walk. Boy brother was not happy they went down the hall and back . He was grumpy for a while. But right before mom came home another nurse came in said lets walk brother did not seem so grumpy mom said this nurse was younger ;) . They was making him cough every hour. He will be home Thursday afternoon. He is eating good so that's a plus to.when mom got home she and dad was talking and mom phone rang it was a friend she was yelling something into the phone at first mom thought she said someone's trying to get in my house mom said call the police. She said no they won't do nothing . Mom said what ? then she said there a Bat flying around in my house. Mom said oh started to laugh. So dad and mom got in the car with tennis rackets and drove over to her house to see if they could get it out. Time they got there they could not find the Bat. They looked for an hour could not find it. So mom' s friend said I'm not staying here I'm going to my daughters. Mom and dad came home . Mom was so tired she went to bed. Guess we had really some bad storms come through around 2:00 am and the sirens was going off police was driving around telling people to take cover. Bad part is mom and dad did not hear any of it they slept through it. Her friend said she tried to call but mom did not answer. Guess they spotted wall clouds were we live. Mom told dad thats was scary. My other brother said he called dad phone about 3 times to warn us but he could not leave he was at work. Mom said usually she hears stuff like that and she did not even hear our weather radio go off. So dad said mom is staying home this afternoon and NAPING he will stay at hospital with brother. . Mom going up later to see brother. Here a vote for you. BBF WADDLES

The parront has not made it to Tampa yet. The person did not call her back yet. So she does not know yet if she finally will be going. She has been very busy lately. The computer is also giving her a hard time. She needs a new one.The weather is cloudy and it has rained lately. It is getting busy at the airport. She has the last test this Friday. She has to keep the proficiency in her job so they test yearly in different areas. This is all for know.
See you next week if she finally does not go to Tampa

I would love to attend the Milonga with you. I am looking forward to dancing on skates with you, we can hold each other up...now that sounds good being in your wings all evening.

Your toys sound like fun and have you destroyed them all yet? Keeping you busy is a good way to try and get you to leave those pretty feathers of yours alone. I guess I should come over and stay with you to keep your mind off of them...

I wonder why you prefer the porch vs the back yard...that is so true, way to many nuts out there looking for an easy buck and they might try to steal you and Chi chi. Oh, then you were safe with your dad sitting with you.

Not a lot new here, mom's doctor did write a prescription for an electric scooter so now we wait for all the paperwork to go through and then wait for L&I to make a decision. If they end up deciding against it then the lawyer will take over but dad thinks they will buy it for mom. Hope so cause that will make her more independent and able to get around the yard and the outside easier.

Dad's race bike broke at the last race so now it is in to be fixed. Dad had to drive it around 250 miles to the guy. He is an engine builder and knows race bikes, he called and the news is not good. The crank is destroyed and so is the block...going to cost a pretty penny to fix so the parronts are not happy campers about that.

Sorry you got rain there, it was nice here all day.
Last night mom had some friends over for pizza, wings, and salad. It was a good dinner, and we got some crusts. No bones for us, though, because mom is always afraid we'd toss them to the dogs. Today is following what seems to be the trend this summer: one gorgeous day followed by rain. Yesterday it was beautiful out, but today it's very grey. Maybe mom will stay home and do laundry, after she goes out to buy wild bird food. It seems those wild birds are eating us out of house and home this year. I hope you are having a good day. Oh, I'm so glad that RabbitAir helped you out. They were so nice to us. Dad had started the online account and I know they helped him with part of it. Now, you can just go on and see what you ordered and when. Then you know when it's time to re-order.
I get locked up sometimes during cooking time too. Our kitchen is in a big room - family room, dinning room and kitchen ... all one big room. If I'm ready to leave my condo ... I get the lock up ... NOT FAIR! I have a new thing I'm doing and dad isn't happy. I hurry up and eat my dinner, then I leave my condo, shutting the door, and go to the floor. Then I walk over to where mom's sitting and beg for food. I think it's a good plan!

You should enjoy being able to go outside.Being able to talk to all those wild birds.Mom will not let us all the way outside it only gets as far as the screened porch because she said it is not safe at all where we live especially because of the black bear that do walk in our yard....That was nice that Mom was able to spend some time with her scrapbook friends...Of course not good for you because you had to stay in your condo...But Dad came home and saved the day.....Yeah our Dad tells us that we are really loud and to be quiet(Hee Hee) it doesn't work though....Hope you are having a nice day....Just pecked another vote for you....With many birdie wing hugs and beak kisses to you my dear special friend.....Love you, Cydney :o)

Wow, they made those machines for kids? What a mess that would be, that floss was flying everywhere!
We're here really late today and mom might not even finish our blogs. We all hope she does, of course. This morning it was birds, birds, birds at the center, followed by the recovery room, with turtles, pigeons, mallards, and a red tailed hawk. After the center, mom went to the pool where she met her friend from Munich. They ended up staying there later than mom usually does, planning pizza and wings for tonight. So, she came home, showered quickly, and went to buy stuff for salad and some dessert. Now it's our turn to blog, and hopefully we'll get some time tonight with company. That sounds good, I hope rabbitair can get you set up on line.
I just love my walk-abouts. I even eat fast at dinner time so, I can climb down and walk over to the table to see what mom has. I love eating a bite of hers. When I first came here, I would only eat seeds .... not anymore. But, mom still wishes I would eat a little less seed.
I hope that all Dad’s had a wonderful day today.
In the middle of my sleepy time last night, there was the loudest BOOM! Then the hard rain came. I was so scared! It woke the whole family. Mom called out my name and I gave her a weak whine. She opened my condo door and I grabbed her finger with my beak and one foot and held on for dear life. She stayed with me until the bad storm went away. Today we had a t-storm, sun, rain and 73 degrees. Now, the t-storms are coming back tonight and tomorrow … hope they aren’t real loud! Have a g’nite.

Happy Father's Day to all dads out there, human and bird alike!
Sorry we never got online to blog yesterday. We voted for Bellatrix and wished Happy Hatchdays, but didn't have time to blog. Mom attended a memorial service for her friend's aunt, who passed away in January. Her friend is the guy from Munich, who wanted to do this in June so all his aunt's friends could attend a luncheon. The service was short, but the luncheon was so long! Mom got home in time to change and hustle downtown to work with the Animal Rescue League selling cotton candy for the Pride event. They should have had the parade yesterday, though, because today it's raining again!
They gave mom a tee shirt to wear, it looks like a retro tie dye (Who remembers doing those, besides mom?). It has the ARL logo on front in rainbow colors, with a message on the back which says: Animals don't care who you love, and neither do we. Mom likes it, will probably wear it for more than work at the center.
It was fun, but mom didn't stay until 1 in the morning, she left to come home and feed the dogs. She gave us out of cage time, but not much, because it was so late. Today she gets to stay home and play with us, though! We're all happy about that. Hope you have sunshine today, since we don't. I also hope you get lots of attention today. Hugs, Falco

Guess you are just not an outside bird. Maybe if you lived in the wild you would have been okay but, Mom & Dad brought you to your house and that is where you want to be inside with them. That has to be very interesting watching those ducks use the neighbors swimming pool.Certainly seem they are not afraid of something put there to scare them and keep them out..Well we do not have ducks coming in our yard but just about everything else does, bears, deer, raccoons, wild turkeys, that is only some of the animals to do.......All kinds of birds and plenty of squirrels....We love the hummingbirds Dad & Mom make sugar water and fill the feeders every couple of days....They hate to see them leave in the fall....Well hope you are having a nice day....Just pecked another vote for you....With many birdie wing hugs & beak kisses to you my very special friend....Love you, Cydney :o)

We are hovering around 67 degrees. This is NOT patio weather. The weather people say we won't have summer weather this year. I protest! We have waited thru long long winters just for some beach weather. I'm NOT happy!

Congratulations to the CJCs on an awesome game yesterday. The MLBeaks played well, but once the conures got ahead, they didn't give up the lead!
Mom is exhausted right now, she spent over 3 hours in the garden today, clearing weeds. She had 2 guys helping her, so they basically did about 9 hours worth of weeding. She thinks she can keep a handle on it now, but it depends on rainfall. That's how they got so far out of hand, she says. She doesn't say anything about being too lazy to get out there and get it done, though! Well, it's not pool weather, so when she's done with our blogs, she can rest and read at home awhile.
We might not be online tomorrow, mom has a memorial service to attend in the morning, then she's selling cotton candy downtown for the Pride event leading to the parade on Sunday. Animal Rescue is sponsoring the cotton candy booth! It sounds like fun, at least for mom. We'll be stuck here, though.

Hi Gus,
today mum's put 2 new pics of me up. I just had my bath & was looking at myself in the mirror, after all one has to check if all the feathers are in order.
She also put some new pal pics up. At the moment she's into making a series of fantasy baby cockatoos, in all baby colors. They're meant for new parents to put them in their nurseries, she's already sold some.
Then there is a new fluffy rose breasted too,she made the octopi stand up & changed the nostrils of the pink pig from beige to black. Also two new little snow girl & boy.
It's finally getting a bit wintery here & mum had to give up her swimming due to colder water temps.
She had her last swim yesterday. Now she's starting to go on long walks in the park again & maybe feed the cockatoos again?
Hope you had a good time since i squawked to you last time.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom's friend.
Regarding the rabbit air. Dad did all the ordering last year and this year. Try to go to the web page rabbitair.com and then click on "account". I know he did stuff online and also spoke with them. They have been so nice to us ... good customer service. What you order is kept in their system so, no guessing. They also send the items very fast! Good luck.

Boy Mom must be getting old or something she did not see your blog that you left on Tuesday....So I yelled at her....When your Mom came home from the bird show you said she took a bag downstairs but you found out it was just things in it to fix some of your toys....You also got a new toy right...How come you do not really like being outside?..We like being on our screened porch and talking to the outside birds....Especially now because the deer come by and they have their new fawns with them and they are so tiny and cute....Mom Deer is not afraid of the parronts and comes right up to them to grab a cracker out of their hands but the fawn just stays way behind her......Hope you are enjoying your Thursday....Just pecked another vote for you....With many birdie wing hugs & beak kisses to you my very special candy corn beak & green feathered friend....Love you, Cydney :o)

if your parronts ever buy honey tell them to be careful. just read an article that over 60% of honey sold in grocery stores is nothing more than corn syrup with food coloring added. real homey will start to crystalize after sitting out awhile and corn syrup wont. most buy honey for the health benefits it provides and they are not getting it with corn syrup..

Wow, a guy who worked with wood? Sorry to hear of his passing.
What a game yesterday! The GGWs pulled off a stunning win at the last minute, it was another claw biter.
Today the CJCs are playing the Major League Beaks, it should be a good game. I am taking the prize inside boxes to the stadium early so the cheerleaders can pass them out.
Mom loved the group at the museum on Tuesday, they were robotics guys at a conference going on at Carnegie Mellon University, right up the street from the museum. They had great questions, were interested in the dinosaurs, and were generally fun. Mom thinks her inner nerd responds to these types of groups. The tours were a lot of fun. Last night, mom went to dinner with her friend from Munich and the friend he's staying with right now. They had a great time catching up, and she still got home to spend time with us! Well mom took dad on medical appointments yesterday and they didn't get home until after dark (they left the house at 6:30am) ... NOT happy. We have not had any attention in two days ... ummm I should turn them in for neglect. Changing food and water and saying hi is NOT enough attention!!!!!

Daddy got an MRI on his knees yesterday to see if his knees warrant replacing and what kind. Hopefully Dr will call him back sometime today. Family Dr changed up dads meds a bit so hopefully daddys mood will improve. Gotta run, have a great day. V4U. Hugs.

I'm so happy that your parronts got the filter ordered. Yes, you should have called them when you got the unit if something was wrong. We find them very helpful and very nice. They send everything really fast too. Did you get set up on the puter?
Very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Sounds like he was a wonderful artist.
We had a beautiful day today. I had lunch on the patio with my parronts. Looks like we are lucky this time, the storms are missing us. But downstate will get hit hard.

i am not that crazy about being outside either unless i can spend the whole time sitting on mom. Boo Boo is more like Chi Chi and loves to be outside but she doesnt like to be alone and is very happy if one or both of the parronts are working in the yard so she can periodicaly call out to them.
