 My sons and I had been traveling home from the loss of my mother. Seen a male Citron in Ohio. Called our then local Exotic bird store for more info said they had one baby. We went through an adoption process about 3 months till she was weaned (about 5 months old) DNA test around $35.
I have found that Citrons are not very common as other "Toos" and are very rarely mentioned.
Citrons resemble the Lesser Sulfer but the Citron's crest is bright orange rather than yellow. Weight ranges from 275gm to 575gm., 12-15 inches tall, very sensitive and not very loud or noisey.

Hello from Taffy!
Hi my name is Taffy I'm a Rose Breasted Cockatoo. My mom just bought me a brother, Antonia, which happens to be a Citron Cockatoo. We are in Apache Junction. Antonio, Tony for short, gets to come home next week. We are so excited. Where do you shop for your food? We were adopted and will only shop at Dalton Birds in Mesa, on Country Club road. Talk to Claudia she is awesome! She may be able to help you with your diet needs. Can you tell me more about yourself? What things do you like to chew on? Are you noisy at times? I'm a little noisy at times and mom was leary to purchase another cockatoo. But we got to talk to the breeder and look up info on these gorgeous birds. What we found is for the most part we are a quiter breed. We will have pics of Tony up as soon as he gets home. It's so nice to meet another Citron especially in the same state. Happy Valentines day! WOW- you sure are a stunner!! Yes, you do resemble the Sulphur-crested, do you originate from Australia also. My mum and I live there but we've never heard of a Citron until now. This is Rocky here and I am on a mission to get my good friend Lady Bird BOTW. She is a very sweet girl that has been through alot in her life and she really deserves to be BOTW. I would like to ask you if you could stop by and give her a vote everyday this week and show her how many good friends that she has out here. She also has a new sister named Dutchess and her mommy rescues abused birds and she is looking for any advise that you might have on helping her with Dutchess. Dutchess is a macaw and she was abused very badly and she is a biter. So if you could help her out with Dutchess she would really appreciate it.
