My former bird PEPE had died January 2002 and I didn't have another for quite a while as I really missed him and his Mate who died in November of 1997 but in the early Fall of 2002 I started looking for another birdie companion. A friend called me one day from our local pet store very excited. she had found a beautiful 4 month old male blue parakeet with black markings on his wings. she wanted to know if I wanted him. I said yes right a way. we were in love with each other from the moment we saw each other..

Active within 422 Days Hi! My name is Tuffy (hatchday 7- 4-2002 passed away 4- 12-2006) I am from Spokane, WA. "Tuffy Bird" because he was tough. I named him Tuffy before I got him and that is what he was. he could do anything he put his mind to. 12 years old M he liked his millet sprigs. I liked sitting close to the bars so I could watch and be close to my MAMA. I wanted to share MAMA with no one and that was how it was for quite a while til Kiwi came. MAMA was very kind to me and cared for me to the end and gave me toys and talked to me. before she would go out anywhere she would stand before my cage and ask me how do I look so I would look her up and down and chirp.she even dance for us! when Kiwi came to live with us I wanted to lord it over him. I would pose for MAMA"s brother when he took my picture. He made MAMA an 18 month calendar with my pictures on it for my 1st birthday. I was a "ham." living it up front of camera.. " Tuffy First".
