 I was the first "big bird" my mom ever had. I lived at a pet store where another bird bit my toe off when I got on his cage. My mommy's mother wanted an African Grey so she took me home. Well, I liked my mommy better so I became hers. Now I have a very big cage with lots of toys and yummy things to eat. Even though I am missing a toe, I love to climb and I make mom nervous when I hang upside down from the top of the cage by one foot. She thinks I will fall but I am strong so I don't.. |

Mom's having problems with the "rescue" she got me from. The lady that actually ran it had passed away and her daughter had kinda took over (which was illegal because she didn't have it in her name). Her daughter didn't tell mom the truth about alot of things about me. A lady on another forum asked if anyone had gotten a bird off of this girl and mom said she had and the girl seemed really sweet but wasn't truthful about alot of things. The girl saw this and now she's calling mom all sorts of names and demanding me back! Mom said she will spend every last penny she has before she gives me up. It's been a long stressful week for my mom. I'm glad my mom will fight for me. It's scary thinking I might have to move agian. I REALLY love my mom! Calypso michelle, rochester, IN.

Mom and took me for a drive yesterday. It was a 2 hr drive to see my aunt. I wasn't to happy with the long trip. It was fun once I got there though. I got to flirt with my cousins g/f. She showers me with lots of attention. Then we went to this big bird store. I was kinda scared at first so I tried to climb up to sit on dad's head! Mom had to get me down and then we walked around and looked at the other birds. There was a greenwing macaw there and I think it was in love with me! It kept bobbing it's head at me and making funny noises. I was scared of it so I hide my head in mom's shirt. Mom just laughed at me. I did get to eat french fries on the way home. Mom's boy snuck them them to me we we thought mom wasn't looking. Here's a vote! Calypso michelle, rochester, IN.

You have to live with a dog too? When I got here a couple of months ago I tried being nice to that dog. In my sweetest voice I said "Hi dog" and waved at her with one wing. Do you know what she did? She walked away! I was so mad I started stomping my feet and I told her to "go to bed!" Mom laughed and laughed. I thought the dog was being very rude. Is your dog rude too? Here's a vote!
