 Pineapple, along with another little green budgie that passed away, were my first ever budgies. Pineapple had a shoulder joint that wouldn't lie flat against her body. The people at the store told me that they think she might have broken it when they were clipping her wings, but later I realized that I think she was born deformed. She was in a small, temporary cage with her friend away from the other budgies. There was a makeshift sign on their cage - "Olive Oil and Popeye - In Love". I managed to barter down their price and walked away with both of them and the cage for $20. Pineapple went on to be the first bird that ever began to nest and lay a clutch for me. Her and Wasabi were the proud parents of Blueberry (can be seen in some of my other pics) and another marine blue, both of whom live with a different family members now. The profile picture of Pineapple show her with her babies. Pineapple had to be put down due to egg-binding, but will always be remembered fondly for being such a devoted mom.. |

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT PINEAPPLE
You were a sweet and beautiful bird. You have some very nice looking babies and you were a very special bird to your mom.. I know that you are in a better place and you are flying high over the rainbow bridge with your friends. We just lost a very dear friend here on the BC. Her name was Rosalie, she was a Macaw and she died from the same reasons that you did. Such a sad way to go. Well sweetie, I had to stop by and leave you a vote. RIP sweet Pineapple.
