 For the longest timeI had been wanting to add, either an African Grey or an Amazon to my home, and both were for sale in the pets for sale in the newspaper, for the same price! When Jenny and I met, the search was over, as she walked over to me and started crawling up my leg, she knew, and I knew, that we would be forever friends, and while she was no longer wanted in her other home, you should see and feel the love she exudes to all who come near her, she adds the brilliance of Summer sunshine to our home daily! I could not possibly imagine my life without Jennifer, without Jen I would cease to be, she gives me reason and makes my heart beat!! Jenny Lynn is an awesome parrot...

Thank you for keeping me posted on things like armed forces day. The parronts were at a family funeral so it was not on their radar.
We are enjoying the baseball season so far. Mom is pulling out the Uncle Chuck toys with baseballs. I'm practicing throwing my saber, my tennis rackets, and a ball. How are you practicing? I'd like some tips.
I'm trying to get mom to bring me lunch now, she keeps saying in an hour. SHEESH.

So, how much blood was spilled? I know Art didn't spill any of his own, heehee. Hope they get dad's meds right. That's why they call it 'practicing' medicine, they don't have it right yet, and need to practice until they do.
Last night mom and the family celebrated Mother's Day with a lovely dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was one of those places where the chef comes and fixes a hibachi meal with lots of flare, so it was fun to watch. Today it's another beautiful day, so after mom's tours this afternoon, I just know we'll get to go outside for awhile. She hasn't set up the fountain yet, so she may get to that today or tomorrow. She already has a base set up, so just needs to assemble and plug in the pump to get it started. We are still hoping for a few veggies, but we are out of space to plant! Hiya Jen
I'm getting excited (and a bit nervous) about tomorrow's game. Mom bought gum for all the players...it helps to keep calm! (Grandma always commented on mom and her teammates all chewing away when they played softball - back in the day).
The parronts bought a new (used) Lexus this past week. It has lots of bells and whistles; they've never owned a really nice vehicle until now. HOWEVER, because it has leather seats, I don't know if I'll get to ride in it like I did the old Rav4 that they traded in. With my swift beak, I could put a hole in those seats in an instant. Mom will have to come up with some ideas to protect the car, or Dad won't allow me to step one toesie inside.
We're so happy to hear your Dad's checkup went well and hopefully a minor adjustment to meds will take care of any issues.

Armed Forces day - thx nephew Alan for serving 2 x's in Iraq.
Oh, I don't like getting groomed either. tell Arthur I feel for him.
Today was the Preakness Stakes. The winner was OXBOW. The KY Derby winner, ORB came in 4th. So, no Triple Crown again this year.
We had a rainy chilly day again. Sunday is suppose to be 80 and sunny. I hope so! Then two days of severe t-storms, then just rain and back down to 62 degrees. HEY! Where is our good weather? I’m still waiting!

How is your weekend going? Mom had some running around to do this morning and got home after 1:00. After putting groceries away and cutting up fruit and veggies for us she had to start dinner in the slowwwww and I mean slowww cooker! :) Mango spent the afternoon outside because he was driving mom nutzzzz! Mom was cooking and he was screaming for whatever it was she was making!! heehehe..He can be soooo annoying!! Mom got mad and told dad to roll him outside on to the patio... It works every time!!That brat gets to go outside while mom is cook'n and cleaning! It was a beautiful sunny warm 87 day!! :)

Glad dad got an adjustment on his meds and hope the new adjustments works out well for him. Yesterday morning mom said she had to go watch the clothes go around in the washer at the Laundromat. Shhheesh mom sure must have a dull life eh? She took the winter bed covers to the Laundromat to wash them cause she thinks summer has finally arrived. Mom backed down to the clothes line and got them out of the trunk and hung them out. Now the summer ones are on the beds again. Hi Jenny, Ziggy & family!
How are u sweetie? Nothing much happened here today, except mom stayed home all day! We had a beautiful day of 78! I spent a lot of time outside today, but didn't get to drive my car, coz I don't really like to be out in the direct sun! Mom swears that I can smell when rain is coming, coz when it got real cloudy & looked like it would rain, I started freaking out & wouldn't let her take me off the porch! I ran up her arm & scrambled onto her back & told her NOOOOO, I hold on to mom's shirt, pant, & gently flap my wings, while on her back...mom calls it my rain dance I wouldn't get off her back & onto her hand until she went back inside! Mom calls Mom told me it was not raining, but I wasn't taking her word about it! I DO NOT like OUTSIDE shower baths!

Glad to hear your dad got a relatively clean bill of health. My dad has high BP too, and since he has been taking meds for it everyone says he is nicer too. Parrotsonally I still say he gets too much time with my mom, but no one listens to me. Phooey!
Another nice day here with a high of 75. They say tomorrow will be warmer though, so Mom is planning to get me outside for sunbath early before she goes to the gym. Now if she would just stay home.....
Anyway today was burritos for lunch day! Mom always gets a chile relleno burrito and shares it with me, which is terrific. Now if I could just get her to stop calling me burrito breath!

I hope you guys are having a great day! I'm sitting here with mom talking my head off!hahahahaha I'm just a happy girl today!
Mom got up early and mopped the kitchen. When she brought me out to make my toast, I saw the mop and bit her on the back of the neck. I didn't know what it was and I kind of panicked! Mom showed me the mop and it was okay. I just don't like surprises in my kitchen.
Mom has frajitas in the crock pot and we have to get more veggies and meat cooked for Mandy. She made some meatballs too but those are for tomorrow. I think my birdie bread is going to be baked tomorrow. I still have a bit left so that's okay.
I'm glad dad's appointment went okay. I think adjusting meds is something that gets done every once in a while. I hope he is not dizzy today. That has to be scary and I don't want him to fall and get hurt!!
We are playing on Monday so I'll take the weekend to get some warm ups and more practice in. I really would love for us to win our first game!!
Please give dad our love and tell him to have a great time tonight. Big hugs for you all!

Our weekend is a mixed bag; mom is doing tours today and tomorrow, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Today the dogs go to the groomer, but when mom drops them off, I think she is planning on taking us all outside! YAY!! It's so pretty here, with all the flowers in bloom. The irises have started to blossom, too. Tonight, mom and her family are celebrating Mother's Day. They always wait to do that, so they aren't in crowded restaurants and being hustled to eat fast. Tomorrow, tours are in the afternoon, so again, we might get outside. I think that's all for this weekend. I hope you are having a fun weekend, and get a chance to enjoy some fantastic weather where you are, as well. How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

Yes all the perils of another birthday and moms appointments are starting again too. Hope your dads all went well!! Mom said we had to be in our condos today cause somebody was coming to visit a bit. When the lady came I started making my jungle talk toy talk and I let out some ear piercing sounds. The lady knew nothing about fids apparently and asked mom why she would want us!! When the lady was ready to leave mom took me out and held me and she was shocked how well behaved and loving I was. She was amazed when I laid upside down in moms hand too. It was a beautiful day here today. After Mom got home from the gym, we went outside for my sunbath. Even though it was pretty breezy, it was just perfect. Not too hot, and the breeze was warm.
Then we came inside and Mom and I shared lunch. It was one of her lo cal frozen lunches, but that's OK. It had corn, rice and a few black beans (I got them all), and what could be better than that?

You know we are praying that the appointment goes really well. We hope the drive goes smoothly and that all the poking and prodding goes smoothly too!! You know he is always in our prayers and our thougths!!
I'm going to help with chores today. I got plopped in the play cage while mom cleaned her bathroom. Later when I go into the bedroom, she'll tackle the other bathroom. Right now there are wet rags on the rungs of my t-stand soaking up all the poop and food I throw down there! I guess I'll just have to mess it up the next time I get on it! Can't have it looking like I never use it!
Mom went off to the market before I even got up. She said is was so much faster to go early in the morning. There was a lot of freight still on the floor but we both know mom is use to that! This store is open 24 hours but you have to put up with cleaning and freight if you go before 9am. It's done and I have pecans so all is right with the world!
Mom is off to the library right now and then it will be back to cleaning!!

Mom has 2 tours today, but they're widely separated, one at 11:20 and the next at 1:40. That means she won't get home til after 3:15, so we may be late for the game today. I hope we can get outside for awhile, though, because it's gorgeous out there, and mom still has some flowers to plant. She put in a painted fern a couple of days ago. She bought it because she thought one died. When she went to plant this one, the other one was up and thriving! So now we have 2, which is okay with us. The weather couldn't be better for finishing the work outdoors ! Of course I'm helping mom sit on her baby great-nephew on Sunday - I think I'll teach him to play fetch !

HI Jen,
here i am again at long last! Mum just posted new pics.
She made a cute new doggie, a blue headed pionus, a hyacinth macaw, a golden conure, even an octopus & an Indian ring neck. She's also made a new female ekkie & believe it or not, a pink pig with some piglets & a baby seal, but no pictures of them yet.
Our nice warm weather has finally come to an end. It is down right cold now, with a very stiff breeze blowing, but the water is still surprisingly warm (she just had a swim) but she says when you come out, you better hurry into the hot shower. Hope you'll have a nice w/e.

Well, we will love the weather much more when it's warmer. We like it 72 to 82. Friday is suppose to be up to 72! I hope it is so I can go in the stroller again. I can't wait until it's warm enough for dinner on the patio. I love that!
Hope all goes well at the VA. Mom just had her 6 month check up ... doing good.
