 Brenda's dad wanted to buy a cockatiel for her and the whole family. One day he said he bought it but this baby was still a newborn, so its previous owner gave her to us exactly at her 1st month of age. Since then, I AM with them and I'm currently 5 yrs old, my birthday will be in few months.

To all my beloved bird members,
I just buried mon petit poussin, who died on February 6, 2008 at 6: 45 pm. When I came back from work, I went to give her medicine, and she accepted it without hesitation.
However, she was weaker and weaker: she was waiting for us.
I carried her and she curled up between my arms...and she died in my arms.
This is a hard time for me, but I have to face it. I can't believe it, but it's a fact.
I am so thankful with all of you for your sincere prayings and good wishes.

 I get annoyed because I wanna play all day but my owners go to school or work, so they take turns. In dfact, I am a little bit moody and spoiled, but I am lovely. I understand Spanish , since mom is a translator, but I can't speak it. My French is so poor and I understand my mom's salutations and that's it. Oh by the way, mom types in English for me.
 Brenda is very cool and pets me every time she comes back from work/college.We also listen music together or watch any movie.
 quarrelling, biting jewerly, watch TV, eating tortillas at the time my owners are having their meals, and I can't sleep until everyone else does..

Our deepest sympathy from our cockatiel flock. We are very sad to hear about sweet Roi. Roi had a sweet Valentine's Day in Heaven. Two years ago this Feb 15th we lost one of our babies, her name was Poki. This was her 2nd Valentine's Day in heaven. It is still difficult to not have Poki around but we know that Poki is soaring the heavenly skies with Roi and all the passed birdies. Our deepest condolences.

Hi its us the Boyd's Flock
This is me Jacky just to let you know I'm much better, I'm back like I was before I got sick! All though I must tell you I miss having Mommy sleep with me, she says now I'm spoiled :( but she loves me anyway :) Also my little sister the Cockatiel Rudy her foot is much better, she is perching and using it like nothing ever happened and it makes my Mommy feel real happy!

Dearest Roi Mommy
This is the flock's mom Gail, I just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you so much and I hope you are doing well with the lost of your little one. I know its very hard, but you have a big heart and it sounds like you are getting some birds love that need it greatly. I've lost 2 Cockatiels that I love very much and I still miss and think of them often, but I know they are better in heaven where they aren't suffering anymore.
We just flew in to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns. I'm doing much better I can eat and it stays down. My little sister the COCKATIEL RUDY her foot is not bleeding and doing better, it wasn't my other sister the Eclectus Ruby. Our Mommy is thankful with all our dear friends on BC because they were praying for us. Mommy is still pretty tired cause she slept on the floor with me (JACKY) for about a week because she was so scared for me.
Little Ms Rudy the COCKATIEL mom is still concern about her foot cause it is still warm and discolored. But Mommy says its up to the "Big Guy" in heaven to heal it. Hope the trip across the bridge was an easy one for you. Good afternoon, my friend. What a wonderful weekend so far. It is so cold here but nice and warm inside. I went with my Mommy on a road trip on Friday. We were gone all day. We went from Oshkosh, WI to Newberry, MI and back. Almost like old times for us. It was a good day. Yesterday, my skin brother had his final swim meet. He did not make the state cutoff but he did have personal best times which is a win for him. Next is track season. Today, everyone is home. I was just about to answer a Jan. 31 e-mail from Roi when I noticed the change in her e-mail address. I rushed to her web page fearing the worst. Our flock has lost 3 precious members over the years. It is always such a devestating time. Your new flock is fortunate to be able to share in some of the love that Roi enjoyed during her brief but obviously happy life with you.

You have done a wonderful thing. You have found two birds that needed your love. By you giving them a loving "forever" home, your love will continue in Roi's memory. Your finding these birds was not just a coincidence. It could be that Roi wanted your love to continue and sent them to you because she knew that they would have a wonderful, loving home forever. They very well may be Roi's gift to you for all the love you gave to her. I think Roi would be proud. I am so sorry about your loss. I have lost a cockatiel before and it is so hard. They are family and it is just like losing a family member. Hello, Brenda, What excitement! New little ones, sounding so alert and perky. I am so happy for you! It seems a wonderful decision for you and Roi would be proud of you. I am finally able to read and write notes without crying so much. My husband and I talked about it, and have decided not to get another bird. We travel about half of the year and we don't know whether we could ever find a bird that loved it as much as Tookie. Also, just before Christmas, we adopted a Maine Coon kitty, Plumecrazy China Blue (she is on the cat channel). She and Tookie got along well, but, coons are large cats and we have limited space when we travel for a large cage and cat carrier. So, in order to be fair to her, we are going to try to live without a bird. After 21 years of that cheery whistle and that smart company, it will be hard. Maybe later, especially if we decide to travel less. We are lucky, because our daughter is our backup cat and bird sitter. Although she lives 1200 miles away from us, we manage. She is sitting China right now. If we can survive until we pick her up on our way back to Minnesota, we will enjoy her antics, again. I wish you great joy with your new little 'tiels! Our mom was happy to hear that you did not close your heart to adopting other birdies! So many animals need loving people like you to adopt them. Angel and Nandini are beauties! Cockatiels are great little birds--Plato, who is in our flock, is a 10 year old cockatiel--mom has always had cockatiels--she lost many over the years--it is very painful!
