Slate and Mica here, Thanks for the Blog and the vote. We are listening to THUNDER and RAIN. SCARY!!!! We have something neat to tell our friends. We took off in a big hurry yesterday to find out what was making all the noise in another part of the house. We found BIRDS!!!! They said they had been waiting to see us. YEAH. We know about Patrick and Fortune, but we found Lonnie and Ellie, Cotton Ball and all the Zebra finches. Three Budgies and 10 cockateils, we don't remember all their names, but they welcomed us to sit on the side of their cages an visit. Dad was so worried he could not find us. Mom said we were in the bird room because she could hear our screeches of delight. We are going to ask to join them soon...hehe here is a vote for you. and any of your flock..You might be surprised like us...We are in bird paradise....Slate and MicaCome visit me, St. Patrick D'bird loves Ruby Sue, Lonnie, Slate and Mica, Fortune & Cotton Ball "I'm Tiki's Girl".

sad news
Hi friends, sorry this is a ‘group message’ but we don’t have time to write this all individually because mum has had a shocking day. when mum and uncle got up to give Rupert his meds they found him dead on his cage floor. This is the worst day and mum has been crying a lot. Rupert went to bed fine yesterday and took down his medication, but he was just too far gone from what the people did to him before and couldn’t make it even with everything being done. This is an example of what happens when people catch birds from the wild. Mum and I and uncles are going away on holidays on Friday, it was planned month in advance. Yoogoos is going to stay at aunt Nellie’s for the week, while Umberto, the two turtles (Neptune and Swartz) and the two rehab lories (Rhubarb and Rutger) will be staying at home with Grammie under her care. I’m going with mum and the uncles on the holiday. I will not be much of a holiday now with Rupert gone. Even though we only rescued him on the 24th this month and had him till the 30th, he was much loved and we wanted to see him fly free again. Even though mum thought he might pass, and tried to prepare herself for the possibility it was still a depressing shock. We’ll be back home in 1 week from the end of this week and back on BC shortly after. Thanks for your support and prayers for Rupert, he has gone to a better place, and in a depressing irony we suppose he is flying free now, but at the cost of his life... may the people that did this to him somehow get what they deserve. Hello from Fortune, St. Patrick D' bird and Lonnie
Hi Sage, we are pleased to welcome you to the BC. We have met so many nice birds and their parronts since we joined. We have a great time visiting and voting for our friends... Here is a vote for you and we hope you will be our new friend too. Patrick here, I'm being good. The Lovies, Slate and Mica, won't let me sit on top of their cage, they nip at my toes. Then I moved to the top of the aquarium now that silly Mica, is trying to move in on my territory there. Daddy put him back in the cage. We were having words.....so to speak. At least I didn't try to nip him. hehe LOCK DOWN for MICA. hehe....My BC friend, Talker, the Cockateil's, baby is so cute. We love baby teils. We have six teil eggs in the nest box with Mrs. Skeeter and her husband Wishbone. Wishbone is a good daddy too. He seems to love caring for the babies more than Skeeter does. They are so funny. They should start hatching soon. Our Zebra baby needs a name that is not gender specific. Any Ideas? It is all white. They mature faster than teils do. It's new pic is on my (Patrick's) page.
