He was in the pet shop I used to work in years ago. I liked to go in occasionally before they went out of business to look at the new products and animals. I saw him from the window. When I went in to see him I was told he came from a family who no longer had the time needed to properly take care of him. A few days later my mother and I went by, and I asked if we could go in to see him. My former boss, the owner, said she'd give me my old discount (10%) if I wanted him. Even with the discount he was going to cost $160. I couldn't afford him and a new cage. I wasn't even thinking about asking my mom if she'd buy him for me when she offered to get him for me as a birthday present since my birthday was only three days away. I was so excited! My mom bought the bird, and I bought the cage. Pepper was the best birthday present I've EVER received!.

Active within 1092 Days Hi! My name is Pepper I am a Green-Cheeked Conure from Independence, MO. Pep, Squishy, Peppy 17 years old M Green-Cheeked Conure Sunflower seeds, most people food (peanut butter is a big fav). I like "sharing" whatever my owner is eating. The top corner of my cage where my favorite toy is located. I like to sit with one foot on the side of the cage and the other on the toy. Sometimes I sleep there. Also my shoulder. Scissors and staplers. I hate the noises these items make. I love that she carries me around on her shoulder all over the house. Don't leave me in the cage too long! I want attention! Sometimes I'll scream for it. If I feel like being adorable I'll ask you what you're doing and tell you to come here. I'm needy so I'll ask you to give me a kiss. Sometimes, if you're lucky or food is an option I'll give YOU a kiss. I'm a baby, and I'm not afraid to tell you so. I'm so smart I can even say my own name.. I'm the baby!.
