thanks for yer concern. All is well in Florida, but it is moving up the east coast, and will probably make landfall on the outter banks of the carolinas. at present it's a Catagory 2, moving towards a 3, big time wind, over 130 MPH.....Come visit me, Tweet & Squak.

Hi Babycakes!
Happy Friday! Hope you're having a nice day. I am, it's finally warm! I'm hoping today or tomorrow I get to go outside. I love to be out there but mom doesn't want me to get cold so it has to be a certain temp before I'm allowed out there (in a carrier of course).
Oh and today we have the heaviest flying birds. "The Kori Bustard or paauw of northeast and southern Africa and the great bustard of Europe and Asia weigh about 40-42 pounds."

Today's bird record is for the tallest flying bird, cranes. "The largest cranes can be almost 6 ft. 6 in. tall."

Hello Babycakes,
It's Pringle here with a very late thank you for congratulating me when I was BOTD back on the 11th of May. It was a wonderful surprise, waking up and being told I had the award. To make things even better I was given extra food and treats for a couple of days. Mama also pretended she didn't notice when I was buried in Poirot's food bowl, gobbling down his pellets. The note of congratulations I got from you made my day even better. I love my BC pals.
My frother Pepper is progressing in leaps and bounds. He steps up very nicely onto a stick and everyday Mama carries him a bit further on it. Today he went downstairs and back up again. Then Mama put him on the back of chair that Poirot and I often land on. He was a bit nervous but also looked happy that he was sitting in a coveted spot. There is a plastic container over one end of the stick to protect Mama's hand. He experimented one day with seeing how much flesh he could remove in a short time. Now with this container, Mama can put her hand on the other end of the perch so he gets used to seeing it and remove it if needed, while the hand holding the stick is safely inside the container.
