 My new owner came to the pet store on several occasions to see if the owner had found her a female senegal parrot and she would visit me and talk to me. She had no intentions of getting me until she brought Sara her 15 year old daughter with her. Sara and I bonded and after saying no to Sara several times., she said and I quote ( I ain't got a cage for her and I in in my sweet little voices said GET A CAGE.) well Mama realized she was outnumbered and took the money she was gonna pay on the senegal and made a down payment on me. WE COCATOOS ARE SO CONVINCING AND SMART. Hee hee hee Mama still hasn't got her female senny.. |

First, I hope your Mama's feelin' better now. I hear that flu thing's not a bit of fun t'go through. Must not be if you say mama's been grouchy. Can't blame her; aches and pains are awful.
Glad ya liked my newest picture; it was taken on one of the two nice days we had last week. By the weekend, there were several inches of snow piled back on that tree branch and it's been sort of chilly ever since so I've not been back outside again. The sun's been shinin' which makes it LOOK like it should be nice out. I even said "OUT?" a couple of times, thinkin' maybe I could go sit in the sun again but mom said I wouldn't like the chilly breezes. Guess I'm stuck here, waitin' on warmer weather to come back. Until then, I'll just keep chunkin' these blocks of wood, shreddin' paper and cardboard and makin' a general mess of the floor! Take care, Rose. R ('>Come visit me, RaneBeau ('>.

I can't believe you laid an egg while ON your Mom's arm. Too bad it broke on the floor. That would be a mess. I've never laid an egg and that's a good thing because I'm supposed to be a boy. At 14 years old, with no laid eggs in my past, I'm gonna assume there won't be any in my future either.

Rainbow here. I'm cruisin' by to see if perhaps there were some 'Rose in a Snowy Holly Bush' pictures. Shucks~ there's not. But there sure are some pretty springtime blossomin' hibiscus bush (am I right about the flower?) framing the pretty white of your gorgeous face. Love those pictures.
Five new inches of wet, heavy snow fell here last night. We've gotten more snow this year than most seasons, somethin' that's help make my mom happy. Silly woman likes the white stuff. Me, well, bein' a parrot, it don't do nothin' for me. I'm keepin' an eye out for the first signs of green grass and daffodils!!

Hello Beautiful Miss Rose
Oh my goodness oh my goodness, OH MY GOODNESS!!! Mommy is SOOOO excited! See, she helped rescue and rehabilitate a poor blue crowned conure named Kiwi (not our frother Kiwi, another one). Kiwi is a VERY special bird and mommy says that he has a beautiful spirit and a wonderful, peaceful energy about him. Even after being terribly neglected and severely malnourished (to the point that he is 30 grams underweight!) he is so kind and trusting. He really has a special place in my mommy's heart (not as special as MY place...but almost!) Anyway, he got adopted the other day by a wonderful forever family and his forever family has made him a page here on BC!!! So we are asking a BIG favor...could you go over and visit him? His name is Kiwi and his number is 163505. That would be SOOO great! Merry Christmas Rosey!
WOW! Are we EVER having a white Christmas! A white Christmas BLIZZARD!! We have almost 20 inches of snow and it's not supposed to stop until SUNDAY! WHEW!! It sure is great to be stuck at home with mommy though, especially over Christmas!
