Hi Dixie
Tell Nana that she needs to rest ... like it or not! She needs to let people help her for now. Put your birdy foot down when you tell her.
I have one thing to say about the squirrel thingy ...EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I took a step back with the harness. Mom moved it and I ran to my condo. I had that thing on me a couple times last year and didn't like it. Mom is still leaving it in my site.
We are having nice weather. But, it's cool in the morning and evenings. The high is 72 during the afternoon. Hope summer brings longer warm days. My parronts will be gone most of tomorrow with family. But, I'm planning some patio time with them on Thursday. Today I was very busy tossing all my toys as far as possible. They went pretty far ...hehehehe.

Our dad likes the 60s music channel, too. He also likes the smooth Jazz and the country channels.
Does your dad have your computers networked? Our dad networked everything. Dad's computer, mom's computer and bothe laptops are networked and have access to a common shared harddrive and all printers.

Sugar waddles in and runs up to Dixie~
"Hi Dixie!"

She throws her wings around her friends and gives him a big hug!

"How was your day? I was having lots of fun this morning trying to get into everything and trying to get down to chase the dog, but I got put in the play cage instead! It was okay since I got a snack and some toys to play with!!"

Sugar opens the Hello Kitty Lunch box and pulls out some cupcakes!

"I have some lovely strawberry cupcakes for us tonight! Mom makes then and then puts strawberries and cream on top! I know you are going to love them! I have some strawberry smoothies for us too!! Tonight we will have a strawberry feast!!!"

Sugar settles Dixie in and serves him the cupcakes and smoothie. She slides in next to him and shows him the book she brought fro them tonight!

"We had so much fun with the Dr. Suess book last night that I have brought another one. This one is called "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish". Another ryhming story! We both like rhymes so much!"

Sugar opens the book and reads the story to Dixie while the two friends snack on cupcakes and smoothies! They really do love all the books that rhyme!!

Sugar cleans up after their snack and props Dixie's feet up on the Hello Kitty pillow. She starts to massage his legs and asks him to tell her about his day. She really wants to hear about how Nana is doing. Sugar really hopes she is feeling better today!

Soon their eyes grow heavy and it is time to get some sleep! Sugar wraps her wings around Dixie and gives him a kiss goodnight! They say their prayers and add a special one just for Nana!

Sleep tight and sweet dreams Bird of My Heart.

Oh man is BC a pain in the tail feathers tonight and moving at a snails pace too! Sure hope Nana will slow down and take it easy and let her legs heal better! Its hard to slow them humans down though. Mom had a dentist appointment today to get her permanent crowns on so her grocery day was a little mixed up. Mom said she doesn’t know how she got talked into going at the time they suggested cause it just threw her day all out of whack LOL. Well needless to say I bet the next time they suggest it she will tell them no way. The grocery store mom goes to is along the way to the dentist and too hot to leave things in the car while she was at the dentist so she had to make two trips that way today. Oh well she got ’er done LOL. “Roses are red, Violets are blue and I just left a big ole vote for you!” Your kissing cousin, Chi chi.

we just had a cloudburst of rain at our house that was unbeleivable. it lasted about 15 minutes and was about 3 inches worth of rain. mom had just gotten in the car and pulled onto the main highway and cars were floating. a mile down the road it was perfectly dry.

even with all the controversy surrounding genetically modified foods called GMOs macdonalds has now decided to use genetically modified potatoes for their frenchfries. they will be called macdonalds frankenfries. please say no to this by boycotting them.

HI DIXIE!!
My dear Dixie, Well it started out as a nice day and was warm but it now is rainy and a cool 60....The rest of the week is suppose to be around 80 do not know if that will happen though and of course rain showers. Hope your weather is better then this....The only good about it is Moms foot does not swell up but it still feels like somebody is squeezing it real hard.....Dad & Mom went to get their hair cut and their next appt.will be 7 days after she has the surgery. She told her hair stylist that would be good because she will not be able to do it herself because she will not be able to get her foot wet for at least 2 weeks. Which means showers will be hard to do....She also asked while being there if she could come once a week for awhile to have it washed and curled...She thinks standing and trying to use the dryer and curling iron will take to long and her foot might start to ache.......Now, you tell Nana that if she does not listen to Mom we are going to fly there and sit right by Nana and when she tries getting up to do something that she really does not need to do we are going to give her a little peck each to remind her to stay put.(Ha Ha) Think that will work?.....We love her anyway even if she is stubborn and so we still our saying prayers for her everyday......You my dear one just remember that our forever 24/7 warm wing hugs & prayers are being sent to you...Cause we love you so much that also includes your flock,family and that wonderful Mom of yours.....Please continue to eat the bean mix and cherry drink that you get everyday...Use your heated perch to help your legs & feet....Hope you are enjoying your day...Just pecked another vote for you......Tell Mom thanks, thanks, thanks, for caring and the prayers for our Mom....As you know she certainly appreciates them.......With many birdie wing hugs & beak kisses to our very, very, special friend....We love you the Lutino Twins Princess & Cydney :o) XXXXXOOOOO

Well BC must be hungry because a lot of birdies are saying their blogs are getting eaten!
Wow! What happened to Nana? How did she fall? Is she OK? That's too bad about her surgery. Hopefully she can have it in September. We will keep her in our prayers!
Well, you know.....mom does know how to cook. She cooked for many years when the kids were growing up. But awhile back she started having a lot of orthopedic surgeries and dad kind of took over. But Dad has always loved to cook now that they are retired he does all the cooking !
That's good news that your leg and foot are feeling better!
Sure hope you don't get those storms!

Mom says to tell your mom that if she gets calls about wild baby birds out of nests, that it's perfectly safe to put them back. If that's not possible, due to safety issues, use the strawberry basket trick. Wild birds in the US, aside from turkey vultures, have little or no sense of smell, so they won't even know the baby has been handled. Actually, most birds don't have a good sense of smell, with the exception of turkey vultures, penguins, and some parrots.
Last night mom had some friends over for pizza, wings, and salad. It was a good dinner, and we got some crusts. No bones for us, though, because mom is always afraid we'd toss them to the dogs. Today is following what seems to be the trend this summer: one gorgeous day followed by rain. Yesterday it was beautiful out, but today it's very grey. Maybe mom will stay home and do laundry, after she goes out to buy wild bird food. It seems those wild birds are eating us out of house and home this year. I hope you are having a good day. That seems like a long wait for Nana ... 3 months!!! I wish she would let you help her. That's good that she is trying to do a little ... but, NOT all of it!
I saw mom touch the harness today and I walked away but came back (this is good). I don't freak out when I see it like I used to.
Today we had a little sun in between the rain. It was 68 degrees. Tuesday will be sun and 70 degrees. But, it doesn’t reach the high temp until afternoon! That’s Not fair!
After mom straighten out my condo today, I tossed everything as far as possible. My ball went down the hallway pretty far. Even mom was amazed. I guess it’s from all that baseball practicing!

She plops it down and runs to give Dixie a big hug!

"How are you tonight?? I hope you had a fun day. Did you know that Summer starts this week? Sping went by kinda fast I think!! I bet we are going to have a great Summer!!"

Sugar opens up the Hello Kitty Lunch Box and pulls out 2 cranberry orange scones!

"Look! Our favorite bedtime snack!hehehehe I just love these things! When Autumn gets here we can try the pumpkin ones. They are pretty good too!

I brought along some nice cold apple juice to go with them! It's nice to have a cold drink when it's warm outside!

The book I have for us tonight is an old one but it always makes me laugh! It's called "Go Dogs, Go!" It's a Dr. Suess book so you know it rhymes! I just crack up everytime I see the dogs rushing to get to the dog party!"

Sugar settles Dixie in and serves him the scones and the juice. She snuggles up next to him and starts reading the book. They both start to giggle at the crazy dogs!

Sugar cleans up after their snack and props Dixie's legs up on to the Hello Kitty pillow. She starts to massage his legs and asks him what he did today. She wants to know how Nana is doing. She tells Dixie that she hopes Nana is feeling better today. Sugar tells him she hopes Nana is relaxing and taking good care of herself!

Soon their eyes grow heavy and it is time to get some sleep! They say their prayers and include a special one for Nana. They both want her to heal quickly and not have any pain!

Sugar gives Dixie a kiss goodnight and wraps her wings around him. She tells him how lucky she is to have him for a friend and how happy she is to be able to spend this special time with him!

Yup, our dad sounds like your dad.
A few years ago, our dad put in a wierless music sistem. There are wireless speakers in each room of the house, including our room. We eather have satellite music or Pandora, streaming over the internet. He hooked up a mixer/sound board to it and now has his two way radios and scanners piped through the wireless speakers, too. He even knows when he has an email message. He hears "You've Got Mail" through the speakers. Needless to say, all this really bugs mom.

Well we sure hope Nana is taking it easy on her legs and not over doing things! Our mom sweeps here every day too but at least its hard wood floors so she uses the broom! Mom washed clothes today and put them on the line and got them all dried too but she didnt do sheets since she just did them a few days ago. She will do them this week again though. Yesterday dad had to shut the power off at the pavilion on the trail since he had turned it on the day before since somebody had rented it for the day. Dad told mom it could be a 2 for 1 trip cause they could go down and shut the power off and then walk/bike. Mom said ok and off they went. When mom got to the 1 mile marker it started to sprinkle so mom pulled her umbrella open and kept on walking. It started to rain harder. Mom got to the 2 mile marker and turned around. Pretty soon dad passed her on his bike and he was soaked. When mom got to the pavilion dad was there talking to some guy they both know. Later mom said the trip was a 3 for 1 and not a 2 for 1 since they got the power off, exercise and a shower LOL. “Roses are red, Violets are blue and I just left a big ole vote for you!” Your kissing cousin, Chi chi.

Was terrific seeing you at the game today! There's no living with Doo now that the Whitehawks won. And Moggie has been flying all over the place all night. Mom had to catch him and put him in his cage telling him to go to roost! Yeah, dad was petting me and I got sorta over eggcited and nipped him. Doo nailed mom on the scalp last night. Looked like she got her hair streaked red. It was an accident--he lost his balance and clamped onto her scalp. She wasn't mad, she never gets mad. Now about that Candi, she better start eating right! And, if she does not leave your little footie alone, she will have me to answer to! I'm 6 hours away and I will come up ther and straighten her out just like I did to Starbuck! Well, today Mom had her first session of Physical Therapy. She was a little nervous, but it went fine. They didn't hurt her shoulder (why she was nervous), and the ultrasound and electrical current treatment actually felt good. She figures it only gets better from here.
And even though it was already 3:00 when she got home, we then had lunch. I ate the pasta, and she ate the pasta and chicken from a Poblano Chicken cardboard lunch. Plus she put extra homemade chili powder on it, so it was quite zippy.
AND Mom was in zumba today for the first time in a week. She made sure not to use her right arm at all, and she made it thru the class without hurting her shoulder at all. Plus since she was able to move training to the hour before Zumba instead of after, she got home in time for most of the baseball game. It was another talon biter, and I do have to say this is the most eggciting season ever!

We all love you, your family, and flock, and especially Nana. Mom knows how she feels, trying to do for herself and not letting your mom help. Mom is independent like that, too. Sometimes, though, it would be good for Nana to let your mom help out if she can. Your mom is pretty busy, though! We're here really late today and mom might not even finish our blogs. We all hope she does, of course. This morning it was birds, birds, birds at the center, followed by the recovery room, with turtles, pigeons, mallards, and a red tailed hawk. After the center, mom went to the pool where she met her friend from Munich. They ended up staying there later than mom usually does, planning pizza and wings for tonight. So, she came home, showered quickly, and went to buy stuff for salad and some dessert. Now it's our turn to blog, and hopefully we'll get some time tonight with company. Hey. Dude! I was just about to write to you! Our blogs must have been eaten by BC because I did blog you. BC has been so crazy lately. It must have eaten my blog to you the other night when BC went berserk. We would blog.....and end up somewhere else. Or we would blog and either get Squawked ....or it would keep loading and loading and never getting anywhere!
Glad things are good with you. Sounds like you had a nice Fathers Day yesterday. My mom...who does not do the cooking here...my dad does...... cooked a BBQ dinner for my dad last night. I was telling birdies that if they saw my mom on the 11 o'clock news last night then they would know that her attempt to cook didn't go well! Heehee! Well,my mom made a nice tasty dinner!

My sweet Dixie, so Nana is being bad and not listening....She sounds like Mom..Dad keeps telling her sit down and relax put your foot up.She will say okay and next thing you see her getting up to go do something else...So after she has the surgery we will have to keep our eyes open and if we see her walking around to much and Dad is not in the room we certainly will start screeching for him to see her....We are having a really nice warm sunny day here and Mom can tell her foot is hurting and swelling up some.But, of course she did not tell Dad or he would make her go sit and put it up..Hope you are having this nice weather to so you can be outside and enjoying the sun and the warm air probably would feel good on your feet and legs....You need to tell Nana from us that she must listen and stay off of that leg and let it get better for the pain to go away....We also want her to know we are still saying prayers for her because we want her to be able to have the surgery on her eyes....And as for you we continue sending 24/7 our warm wing hugs and prayers to you.We love you so much and only want the best for you every day....So we hope you are eating and drinking your special food and juice Mom gives you.....Please tell Mom thanks for caring and the prayers for our Mom. Dad used to have a bunch of scanners. Now he has only three. One that he bought in 1983, which still works great. And two digital ones. One is a portible. He has two radios in the house and two radios in the car. And he has nine hand held radios.

V4U today. How is your Nana doing after the surgery? We hope she is doing great, and that she will heal very quickly. We'll keep on praying for her. Well, we planted the sunflower seeds about 2 weeks ago, and so far we don't see any sprouts whatsoever. What we did see were some holes dug around where they were planted. Hopefully the chipmunks didn't think we planted a sunflower snack just for them? If they don't come up it's pretty easy to guess what happened. LOL :) Our cherry tomatoes are growing nicely, still no tomatoes on them yet. Have a good day. From, Marigold

I hope that Nana feels a lot better real soon. Did they re-set a date for her surgery? I hope they wait until she isn't so sore.
I was a bit nervous around that harness today but, not a s bad as in the past. I wonder what mom is going to do next?
Oh yes, I'm wearing the CJC leg band on Monday for my game. I will feel like my frother is with me. I hope I do good.
My dad had a very nice daddy day today.
I hope that all Dad’s had a wonderful day today.
In the middle of my sleepy time last night, there was the loudest BOOM! Then the hard rain came. I was so scared! It woke the whole family. Mom called out my name and I gave her a weak whine. She opened my condo door and I grabbed her finger with my beak and one foot and held on for dear life. She stayed with me until the bad storm went away. Today we had a t-storm, sun, rain and 73 degrees. Now, the t-storms are coming back tonight and tomorrow … hope they aren’t real loud! Have a g’nite.

Mom and I played this morning and I had lots of fun!! I hope you all had fun and that dad had a great father's day!! My dad did.

I have some blueberry muffins for us tonight! Mom got the little ones for us!! They are the perfect size for us!! I have some blueberry smoothies for us too! A blueberry feast!"

Sugar settles Dixie in and serves him the muffins and smoothie. She slides in next to him and pulls out the book she brought for tonight!

"This book is called "Peter Pillow". It's a talking pillow!! It's not scary tho. He's a very nice pillow. He gets a bit upset when the kids don't come to bed when they are suppose to, but it all turns out okay in the end."

The friends enjoy the snack and the book. It's a very cute story and puts a smile on their beaks!

Sugar cleans up after the snack and props Dixie's feet up on the Hello Kitty Pillow. She starts to massage Dixie's legs and asks him about his day. She tells him she hopes his dad had a fun day and she hopes that Nana is feeling better. It must be awful to have so much pain!

Their eyes start to get heavy. Sugar gives Dixie a kiss goodnight and the wraps her wings around him. They say their prayers and add a special one for Nana.

They drift off to sleep with smiles on their beaks!

We had a pretty good day. Dad worked on programming his two way radios, playing with the babies and BBQing ribs.

Sure hope that Nana will sit still and let her leg get rested up too!! Know its hard to quit moving and not be able to do things you used to do though too. Sounds like Nana is a hard woman to keep down LOL.Yes mom was glad the wild animals enjoyed our food that had fallen in the freezer and sure had a picnic with it all too. Yesterday moms cousin came over and mom and her went to the craft store to meet their other scrap booking friends. Mom or her cousin didn’t get to scrap though cause moms cousin couldn’t stay long. Her husband had triple bypass surgery a while ago and she didn’t want to stay too long and mom never stays long either. It was nice to see everyone though mom said. “Live in love it will make your heart bloom like a flower…each petal touching someone”. V4U Your little lovie friend, Chi chi.

i saw a product on bird channel for insect control that is organic and safe to use around birds if you are still having problems with ants maybe this might help. it says it lasts for 5 days after spraying. i think i clicked on bird products on the left hand side of the page.

please tell your dad HAPPY FATHERS DAY form Cori and me. it was kind of rainy and overcast here today. dad slept all day and all mom did was take a shower and read the paper.

My dear Dixie we are so so happy that Nana is going to be alright.Now we must keep up our prayers for her so she is free of the pain real soon and that her BP will be down enough to make the Doctor happy so she can be rescheduled for the eye surgery...Mom goes back in July to the eye surgeon to have her eyes checked for the second year since the cataracts have been removed...Hopefully everything will be okay again.What is this about your fister Candi pushing you off of your perch.Glad to hear that you did not get hurt especially your legs and feet..That was fantastic that you immediately thought about Cydney and me sending you those warm wings hugs and it helped you to get yourself back up again...See it works even Mom says it works for her....She wants you to tell your Mom thanks again for caring and having her name put in the special intentions book at church for another week of prayers. Dad already sent for a walker for her because she will be needing it for the first 2 weeks. Doctor said something about having a wheelchair but they told him not enough room in the house to get around.So he said a walker will be okay but Mom will have to remember to walk only with the heal and not put any pressure on the other part of the foot...Well sweet Dixie our warm wing hugs and prayers are still coming and surrounding you 24/7 and we love you so much....Hope your weather has been nice enough for you to get out and enjoy it....Please wish your Dad a "Happy Fathers Day" from all of us and hoping that he is having a wonderful day....We all hollered at our Dad this morning so that was our wish to him....Just always remember to eat and drink what Mom gives you daily because it is to help you....Just pecked another vote for you....Every day we look forward to talking to you and your family because it make our day a beautiful one knowing your wonderful flock, you, your family, especially your Mom and Nana to....With many birdie wing hugs & beak kisses to you our friend....We love you so much, Princess & Cydney :o)

Its soooooo hot today!! Gramps was here for lunch! Mom made Tuna salad, egg salad and potato salad for grandpa. It was a nice afternoon. Wanna here sumpin funny? Green always sits on the top of his cage so Mom always knows where he is. Today while Grandpa was here Mom turned her back for a few minutes still in the same room and Green was gone!! Mom searched everywhere for him and found him in the back room on top of the bed!! He has never did that before! lol Mom was just relieved to find the lil bugger!!! lol
What did you guys do for your Dad for Fathers day? My Dad worked but was home early. Mom ordered out dinner from an Italian place for them so she didn't have to cook! :)
I hope your Grams BP is under control. Mom will email your momma. :)

Mom is glad the insurance is all maxed out, because the endoscopic procedure coming up is more than just looking around and therefore will be expensive. They will be trying to wipe out the Barrett's Syndrome tissue, and that means it is more serious (with possible pain afterwards, yikes~!) I already have a recovery plan of extra beaky kisses.
And I have to make a comment here on raw blueberries vs. blueberry pie. Mom has tried many times to get me to eat the raw ones because they are her favorite, but I refuse. However cooked is another matter. Whether in pie or oatmeal I will gobble them right up.
No zumba today!! Mom decided to give her shoulder one more day of rest before she does "T-rex zumba" (arm curled up like a dinosaur). That means I get her all day today! Yahoo!!

A happy daddybird's day to your sweet papa! I'm sneaking out to blog even though I am grounded because I nipped the tip of dad's nose the other day. He is not too happy and that Miranda thinks she's soooo clever coming out to watch tv with him! We had our birdiecure yesterday along with our weights. I refused and mom had to put me on dad's postage scale! Aunt Jeanne has such a lovely touch and hold on us while we get our nails trimmed. Sounds like Candi is being a real heckraiser there! I know Starbuck didn't come to visit yesterday, hope she is behaving. Let me duck back inside and pretend I'm being a good little fid! Love and winghugs, Cookie

Poor Nana, even not breaking something, it's horrid to fall and be hurt. The problem with getting older is that it takes so much longer to heal. We all wish her a speedy recovery from the injury.
The problem with working the Pride event yesterday was that mom was standing close to the cotton candy machine, and was breathing sugar, came home with it in her hair and on her clothes. She was at the table, helping to bag it while someone else was spinning those cones and making it, but the floss goes everywhere! After dark, instead of the paper cones, they used light up sticks and wrapped the cotton candy around those. When they lit up, it looked like rainbows shining through the cotton candy! Mom wanted one, but didn't get one, as they sold out of those so fast! Hope you are having a great day today and get to have some mom and dad time today. Hugs, Giz

I'm so sorry, I didn't know that Nana fell. Mom put in a good word for her at church tonight. Hope she feels better soon. She doesn't need all this. Sometimes no break is worse than a break.
Today, I didn't even act like I saw the harness at all. I walked right by it many times. Mom says she's leaving it right there in plain sight.
Yes, the leg band is a great idea. Bailey is the only CJC on the memorial store (I believe). So, I'm wearing it for him. maybe even at the game on Monday. We are playing the White Hawks. I hear they are good.
Today, we had rain in the afternoon. Then, we finally got up to 72 degrees at 3pm. That didn’t last long. Now, at midnight we are back to rain. Hope Sunday is nice for all our wonderful Daddy’s.
