 My last bird, Joy, was my everything. when he passed away, I contacted his breeder to let her know, and informed me that she had a clutch of parakeets at that time. My dad drove me on the 4 hour drive on the day after christmas to bring her home. dawn refused to take anymoney for her,so we went on our merry way: but on the way home, it started snowing so badly we stopped at the first hotel we found. I spent my first night with Trixie in a little hotel on the Nh/maine border: thank GOd I had the foresight to bring the whole bag of food, just in case! SHe wasn't allowed to leave the cage (hotel policy) but she sat on the nightstand in her travel cage and we watched Clifford the big red dog together. It was exciting.
Her name, Beatrix, means "one who will bring joy," in memory of my angel at the rainbow bridge.. |

 On the big acrylic play gym or the little wooden one, on mom's wrist, on the mouse pad.
 People taking my toys! Fast movements over my head, not enough seed and too much pellets
 She always brings me yummy treats, and wears snuggly clothes that are fun to preen. She buys my lots of toys and keeps my cage clean, and she watches tv or reads with me on her wrist.
 grabbing mommy's necklace (a silver parakeet on a chain) eating all the red pellets first, sticking my whole face inside the bell..
 Budgies are not just cheap birds!.

My name is Ces Erdman and I am a huge bird dork! At the moment there is not a Bird Club in Wilmington, NC. So, I decided to start one myself! Come to find out, there are a lot of bird lovers in the Wilmington area and no where to express our interests.
