 I recieved Pogo as a Christmas present in 2007. We visited him almost every day before we bought him, and we made sure he was the right bird for us. It was the best decision of my life! Pogo loves to dance and to look at our German Shorthair and English Pointer dogs through the window! It's like he is trying to tease them! Pogo wishes you all a Merry Christmas!. |

I do hope you are well now. Grandma is trying to figure out how to tell lead and zinc items and since so much is made in China is it even safe to buy those items. Let me just say your story touched my heart so much!!! I had a similar situation and I can feel how hard it was for you!! You have my vote!!! You are good people and really care for your Pogo!! Once my bird Rocky a cockatiel started to show the same signs and we later found out it was from one of his toys and we rushed him to our family vet!! By the way are apples really your favorite? Hey pogo! Thanks for telling me and my mom about lead poisoning... (I'll try and remember to avoid it, but I know my mom will probably not let me near it anyway!) I really hope your doing okay! I'm glad the medications are helping! Hopefully, you'll start eating more on your own! (I didn't want to when I was younger, I was such a pig... and messy about it!) We have a lot in common though, because not only are we both the cutest breed of birds around, we both love being around people. I read your info and I could relate... I never want to leave my mom. I scream everytime she leaves the room... even to go to the bathroom! Hope things get better! Will you ever be able to perch well again?Come visit me, Skittles.

Hi Pogo!
It looks like spring is finally going to arrive in Michigan! Yay!! We just saw our first Red-Winged blackbird. It looked like he had travelled a long distance, but he was happy to find the food Mom left at the bird feeder for him.
We had a fun birthday weekend last weekend for my bird-day. I got lots of chew toys and lots of my favorite treats like pears, corn, hard-boiled egg yolks. Mom even let me taste a little bit of my favorite -- butter pecan ice cream! I hadn't had that in a long time!! Thanks so much for all your bird-day wishes!

I am so happy you are better, but how do we know what is lead and what is made of zinc? We are moving to Colorado today, dont want to go out there, Aunt bid on a house and Grandma wanted to stay here in this state or go to Painesville. Hi there! Bailey here. I sure hope you ar feeling better. If I was yur mom I would be so worried so you get all better ok? I think spring is finally come to in Arkansas. My mom is so glad. I like the warm days because Mom lets me stand on top of my cage and she gives me a shower. I like it! She gives my brothers and sister a shower too but they have to stay in their rooms while I am out because I might want to taste them. HA! HA! I get baths all year but when it is cold not so many. Moms afraid I will get sick. I have a brother that is a cockatel named Spike, a brother that is a parakeet named Benny and a sister that is a parakeet her name is Sunny.
