Romeo's Vet hooked my new Mom up with my old Mom because I needed a new home. I actually belonged to her 14 yr old son, he became disinterested in me and I became just another pretty face to look at behind my cage bars. My new Mom came the next day to pick me me up, I was flying all over the house like crazy. I got to my new home and the first thing she did was clip my wings to calm me down, I was presented with a bigger cage with lot's of new toys and someone to love and play with me. After I took a few samples of blood to make sure my new Mom was okay I settled in to become the apple of her eye, along with that big white bird that calls himself a Romeo, yeah right!
I'm now the happy little Sennie girl I was meant to be in the home that is centered around us birds. I've grown into a very loving sweet girl, who gets to stay outside her cage now most of the time..

I love Pine Nuts, carrots,pizza,s- ugar snap peas, walnuts, and this wonderful stuff called birdie bread Mom makes for us.
My new favorite is sharing a bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal with Mom, I love, love, love oatmeal. I dance around on my cage top while she's preparing it.

I have a new purple basket Mom hung on our bamboo poll, I sit in it all the time, sometime I swing on it upside down...

Romeo getting on my cage and bothering me and my stuff!

She allows me to be myself, and has brought out the best in me, my sweet loving nature. How can you NOT love a Sennie.

When Mom comes in to get me out of my night cage in the morning, I scream at her while reaching out to step up on her finger. At least I'm not biting her anymore, well maybe sometimes.

...we are having kind of a chilly and rainy day here in Rock Island today, but we don't mind! I don't have a lot of note time today, dad is going to an old timers luncheon with a bunch of retirees from where he worked for so long, he said it is good to touch base with all these wonderful people, and re-hash all the old stories, and keep up to date with there lives! CoCo, We got the garden in yesterday. We don't have much but it's enough. Pickles also over grooms me and I have a bald area in between my legs. It makes my parents so mad because I don't stop him and now I look funny and the same thing happens if we are apart-but we both get very upset. Pickles has still been being a meanie to me but mom always rescues me when he is so I get lots of love and attention from her and I just love it. I love being with mom so much. Our weather is just awful. It's going to rain so hard today they warned us against leaving the house. Hey, were you near those tornadoes in OK? That was something, huh? Those poor people. Mom went to the Jersey Shore to help Sonny's mom open her beach house. It was a mess on the outside and they went to the beach. The boardwalk is up but the beach to the right is totally gone and so many houses are knocked down or having work. It was a construction zone. Mom's sister got so lucky and they really had no damage. Good luck with the surgery today. We will send our prayers for her. Love, Peeps

...Happy Humpday BC buddy, our week is half empty, and yet half full! We are looking at a slightly overcast and rainy day, but it makes our tomatoes and okra grow, and unfortunately the grass also! Dad used to spend a lot of time making our lawn and shrubs, and flower beds look so nice, but old age has cut a lot of that out! I am hoping to get out in my aviary for awhile, and Ziggy's cage is ready for outside! I'll probably stop by the game today because I love baseball so much, and I must see what aunt Auda packed in Sugar's Hello Kitty lunch box! ...we are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! Our storms are over for now, but more on the way, not to severe we hope! Some places really got nailed, we always fear for the pets, dogs, cats, and the precious parrots! Our bird club meeting went really well and after Arthur settled down, he did okay also! He did a lot of growling, barking, and wolf whistles, crazy bird! My Raiders play their first game tomorrow, and I am cautiously optimistic about our chances! Win or lose, we shall use this game as a learning experience and build from it! we're backk..
CocoPuff-a-roni! We are back home and it sure is nice to be out of that cage. It wasn't so bad though. We had a nice caique fella next to us to talk to. The parents had a great trip but to come back to this cold nasty weather was a bit tough for them. It's going to rain here for the next 6 days per the weather forecast not to mention it's chilly out as well. The parents informed us we will no longer be going to the bird store for boarding. They were overcharged and tried to dispute the discrepency but sort of got into it with the owner. They know times are tough, but our parents have given thousands of dollars to this store over the past 7 years and just couldn't understand why he wouldn't reason with them so they are ending ties with the store. Now we need to find a sitter. Mom has reached out to a woman on a chat list and will be meeting with her this summer to establish new connection. So what's new with you? How is mom's back feeling? How about the garden? Mom is way behind and will catch up on the planting this week.
Hey, mom passed all her tests and will be starting her internship either this or next week. She is so happy! Well, hope things are ok. Hope to hear from you soon. Pickles, Peeps and Sonny C

My daddy's checkup went pretty well, but had to have his meds readjusted, his BP was to high making him dizzy when he stands up! He must go back in three weeks for a quick re-check of things! He was really bummed for having to miss the baseball game, and it looked like good one! Congrats to Screech for joining the 10K Club! Dad has a QCPS bird club meeting this afternoon and evening, poor Arthur is going to get a nails and beak job, and I am taking bets on how much blood will be spilled, LOL! We don't have much time for votes and notes today, dad has his routine bi-annual complete physical today at the VA Clinic! No need for concern, he is doing pretty good, but they have to monitor his blood content and EKG readings, and lung capacity, and blood sugars! Art and Ziggy will be dropped off at their team dugouts, and all the rest of us will wait for the game in the stands! ...it is opening day for our beloved BC baseball, I think everybirdie is as anxious as I am! Today the Hawks and Da Pois kick the season off, and both are good teams, they will jump start the show with fire and determination! Many of us will be looking forward to seeing the Hello Kitty lunch box walk into the stands, with her owner, Ms Sugar, the number one baseball fan on BC! Did your mom survive the doggie sitting? My mom said it sounded exhausting. :-) Bet they had fun with Gabby!

Mom said to be sure and tell your mom that she sure likes her pergola and patio.....so pretty! My mom would be sitting out there all the time...with me, of course ~

Mom said she's doing as little as possible this weekend. Sunday she's going with my skin sis, my aunt & her daughter, and my grandmother for pedis & lunch....and of course, she'll see Cade!

Hi CocoPuff, Well, it's almost time for the parents to leave. Mom is busy packing today and we are locked up cause we won't leave her alone to get it done. But don't worry, we are crying pretty bad and being so annoying that she is sure to come and let us out very soon. Then she'll pack us up, too. Pickles is still being a bad boy! He got ahold of mom's yoga mat again! Mom got a phone call and rolled up the mat and put it on the couch. She should of just put it in the closet and when she came back, same story. We was on the perch and the mat was chewed to pieces. She's gonna have to break out with a new one soon. I told her to watch his butt. He's been so mean to me. He runs and chases me and knocks me over and just beats on me. Mom is always yelling at him when he does and then gives me special treatment just to chap his hyde.
So how's your mom's back feeling? We've been thinking about her. Hope she feels better. What else is new? How are the boys and tiels and Gabby? And eggs from the tiels this year? Well, we will be going away on Friday night so if you don't hear from us, we'll be back on Sat May 18th. I hope Pickles isn't too mean to me at the store because we do share a cage. Mom said she will tell the ladies there to keep an eye out for me if he's getting rough. Wish me luck. I can hold my own most times but sometimes just don't fight back for some reason. You probably thought I fell off of the face of earth...didn't you? :-) This month is going to be bad for me visiting with mom's job, part time job & volunteer work. The time that is left is for ME....what can I say.

Can't believe baseball is going to start next week. Seems like forever since we last played. Should be an exciting season ~ New teams and new players! Are you playing this year?

I've been able to play out in the water hose and have really enjoyed it! Still going through the hormone stage and now a bad molt. Mom keeps asking when will this all stop? How am I suppose to know? :-)

Thank you so much for remembering the day I departed to the Rainbow Bridge. It meant a lot to me & my mom. Also, thank you for the congrats on me making BIRD OF THE DAY ~ Mom started remembering all the funny things I use to do....like calling the cats and they would show up. Of course mom would have to give them treats. :-) She also loved it when I would ask for a kiss, then say good kiss. I know mom will always have a special place in her heart for me ~

It' s a little overcast today, and it looks like we are in for an afternoon Spring shower, but that's a good thing, it will help our newly planted cherry tomatoes! The okra we panted, is not for dad, it is for all us birds, we all love the stuff, but mostly the seeds and shredding the pods, good fun! Mayday Mayday, that is not always a call for help, in this case it's just a happy greeting for our new month! Dad is going to take it a little easier today, he has been hitting it pretty hard and has rediscovered some dormant Winter muscles! The plan for today is to get our cherry tomatoes planted, and some okra in the side yard! Our outside aviary is almost ready, and dad has an old cage to carry Ziggy in and out, he is so small, he could escape through the spaces in our aviary! I will be taking Offlee Wild out for a good workout today, he's a great horse! Have a nice day, give my love to all in your home...

Coco, We are so sorry to hear about your mom's back! Tell her just to take it easy. That darned garden! It'll be the death of her! You just take care of her, okay? Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid to aggitate it, okay? Tell her to listen to those therapy people...some of them actually know what they are doing. lol Yeah, so Pickles has really been beating up on me lately and I just take it. Not sure why because I do have some fight in me, especially when mom's clippiing my toe nails. Today is finally nice but it's still going to be chilly. This weather stinks! We were so glad to hear from you and tell your mom not to worrry about writing. We are just glad to hear she is getting better. So she needs to rest that back. We are in for yet another grand day here in Illinois, 83 degrees is a welcome change from the cold despair of a harsh Winter! I didn't enter the Derby hat contest, dad said I get to do almost everything with baseball, and riding a horse in the Derby, and I'm good with that! Hi CocoPuffy. You look like you are getting ready for Cinco de Mayo. So what's new? Yesterday mom took all her tests. She knows she passed the 5 practical exams and figurerd she would ace the written but it was much harder then she expected. She thinks she passed but isn't sure. There were a lot of educated guesses on her part which she is praying were correct. So when she got home yesterday we surprised her by being on the valance. We were running back and forth doing our little happy chips for her arrival. Dad must have left the food door unsecured because that door was flung open and there we were on the valance. We were good though. We didn't potty anywhere and didn't chew the wood blinds we needed to climb in order to get up on the valance. Yesterday was such a nice day but a bit cold. The weather really hasn't gotten too warm here yet. In fact, it's cold in the night and mornings.
So the parents are going to Aruba in 2 weeks and now that is what they are focusing on. Mom is just relieved to be done studying and happy that she got an internship site and will begin that on May 20th after vacation. But enough about her....we are all doing good. We've been really loud lately and I have been beating up on Peeps pretty good. I have even been locked up on account of being so mean to her. I kick her out of her spots, rip food from her beak and just jump and beat up on her. Mom said she's had enough of my aggressive behavior and if I do it I will be locked up. And I've also been plucking Peeps, too. I've given her a bikini wax, as dad calls it. Mom can't understand why Peeps doesn't just attack me for doing it. She just lets me and usually will yell at me because it does hurt, but she won't stop me and that makes mom mad and she separates us and Peeps goes back for more. She hopes her feathers come in soon because Peeps looks funny. So that's all the news here. How's the flock, Gabby and mom doing? Did mom start the garden? Ours will have to wait for the parents to get back from vacation. I bet your mom is in over her head with all the stuff, huh? Ok, we gotta run. Be good and we'll talk to you later. Pickles

We are having a gorgeous day here in Rock Island, the kind of day it makes ya feel good to be alive! It looks to be another busy day in the yard and garage for dad! Today dad topped all our seed, nuts, and pellet bowls with a yummy organic granola cereal, a new trick he learned from watching aunt Denise feed her McFlock birds! ...TGIF birdie buddies, it is time once again to lay out out plans for the weekend, and give our moms and dads the list of what we want to do! That don't always work, but it puts the bug in their ear, and maybe a little fear of the beak in their minds, LOL! Our up and down weather is warming up again, we all love to have the doors open, and fresh air wafting trough our home!
