 We all like being in our big cage with an occasional tromp around on top..
 We don't like being taken outof our cage, but sometimes it's forced upon us so we can play on the floor, when the big white bird Romeo is locked up...
 She lets us be birds, gives us hugs and scritches, and feeds us all our favorite foods..
 Running from Mom when she wants us to come out of our cage...We like it there!.
 Where's the millet!!.

Hello Pretty Buttercup
Thank you for the note of congrats on my very-much-a surprise win of the BOTD award. My beak can't stop chattering and twittering over this exciting turn of events. But then, it's rare that it's not chirping about something, right? After all, I am a budgie and chattering is what we do best.
Yes, I am Turk's son, I'm very proud to say. He and his lovely gal Ms. Ellie had four fids, I being one of those. Me and Mercedes got our dad's blue, although mixed with the lively yellow of our mom, we came out an even brighter shade than Turk had. I'm told there are moments when my blue almost looks purple, especially when in the sunlight. It's something that's not really been captured in a photograph but though mom keeps on trying.
Thank you again for your visit on my winning day. You've made it all the more special.

... and of course Miss Buttercup! Happy Easter Sunday to you all. And to the rest of the flock and your mom too. I wonder if you're getting to spend some of this special weekend out on the patio. It's almost warm enough here to think about opening a window. We'd have to be prepared for a major whirl of dust because after a long winter of being shut in, I'm sure there's some dirt that's been missed in the daily clean up. Wait, let me shake out these feathers and then I'll KNOW there's some dander laying around. !!

Hey, did u say ur mom lives in Hot Springs? So does my Aunt Johnnie, she is my younger sister. Her husband retired to Hot Springs Villiage last year, and we found this place for us here at the Pine Nursing and Rehab, ur mom may have heard of it. Gosh, it would bee great to bring Romeo here to me....she would have to have a vet report saying he was well free from a virus, and won't bite. I bite sometimes, but not very hard, just when I'm teased or made to do something mom wants and I don't want to do. Yes, they are very nice here, it is smaller than Conway, we only have 52 resisdents. We are surrounded in back by Pine Trees; it's seperated by a 6 foot privacy fence. Nice patio. We get up together about 5 a.m. and eat breakfast together...we eat in our room so we can be together. They won't allow me in the dinning room. Tho mom can walk with a walker, she likes to paddle around in her fourwheeler lol! Wheelchair, I think we all have one here. I ride on moms shoulders, I whitle, can whistle part of the Mayberry Themb song, and learned a few notes to make up melodies. Everyone loves me, and it makes them feel good, and me to, to see them smile. I must confess, some of the residents I am not allowed to sit on due to their excitibility and type of illness. I can say pretty boy pierre, i'm a pretty boy, and most of all...with out fail....when I am still covered; my cage sits on a dresser at the head of her bed, I say goodmorning goodmorning over and over till she pulls my covers off, then I squeeel and jump on her shoulder and give her beaky kisses!!! She is sooo
coool. Hey does ur mom ever go to the hotsprings villige wall-mart, moms sister, my Aunt Johnnie is a Phayrmisist there...she's 51 and looks 31 lol. She comes to see us every week, and her and mom go out to eat and alittle shoping. well, we are up alittle late, mom says it time i get or try to get 12 hrs in...kinda hard as aides come in and out every so often, and tho i stay quiet, moms knows i am awake from my moving around. she worries about my not getting enough sleep.

He mentioned hoping he could get back in touch with old friends now that his mom is better able to write for him, at least at this point. Hello Smokey!
Is that a new picture of you? (1st one in the line up.) Great shot!
You asked about the egg-sitting. It's not happening. The "fast one" you heard about was going to be a really neat thing but it didn't work out. The story is that mom was feeling bad for all the times Gonzo's so faithfully set a clutch of eggs but never had any hatch. Of course I know why they're not; they're fake. Not sure if Gonz realizes that or not. All I know is that she's pretty bummed when she finally has to give up on yet another batch of unrewarding eggs. Even though this flock does NOT need another 'tiel in it, mom wanted to surprise Gonzo so tucked an egg from Silas and Daffney's nest box (they're unrelated "pals") in among our fake collection. About three days into the saga one of the pesky 'keets threw a total temper tantrum at our nest door and scared us both off. Yes, I'm embarrassed to say a parakeet intimates me but it's the truth. Those little birds can be monsters when they're looking for a place to lay an egg. Ever since then, I can't talk Gonz into going back into the box, ours or any of the others that are empty right now. Maybe she just wants to wait till we're out in the bird barn again, I don't know. Today though she was peeking under the paper that covers the floor so maybe she's thinking about laying another egg. I'll take my cues from her on what to do. It's best that way with woman I guess.
I'm really glad you and your page are still here. Thank goodness Uncle Chuck saved it from the chopping block. Let me tell you, it's weird not being here. It's like you're out of touch, disconnected, invisible! It's good to be back and here on your page.

HEY GUYS!
It's ME, Grover!! I know, big whoop. Nah, you don't feel that way! You were the guys that went hunting for me on my hatchday. I was really touched by that. You're such pals, the bestest kind, the reason I begged mom to get my page back up and running. It feels really good to be back in the company of such awesome friends like you all.
So, how's things in TN? I bet you've had the windows open and felt the warm spring-like breezes already this year. The window was opened in my room not long ago but it wasn't springy breezes coming in in the least. That air was down right frigid! But mom insisted the room get a little fresh air in an effort to kill the stench of the fresh broccoli she failed to take out the night before. It had the place stenchin' pretty bad!
Hoping we'll get the chance to do a little catching up. Until then, here's a great big THANKS AGAIN for the hatchday wishes.

My Brother, Parker was in the Kissing Booth for 2 weeks and now my Sister, Oz is in there for 2 weeks. Hello Smokey and Gang.
Thank you very much for flying by with hatchday greetings. I had a really nice 10th hatchday and find it hard to believe that I am 10. I had some millet spray as a treat and Pepper let me clean out his supper dish after I was done with mine. He sits and silently observes me while I peck at food directly in front of him. Poirot has never been that polite.
Even though Fall is now here and the days are shorter, we're still having lots of warm weather up in the 80's. That means lots of aviary time for us still. We've not had any rain since the spring but that should be coming soon.

Man over board! haaah!!! thats like 18 babies all together! You Bruce birdies sure are some active critters!! You look'n for a girlfriend? Haaah!!!
My mom went to the pet store today and brought back lots of treats! I even got more millet!! I love that stuff.. Mom didn't sleep well last night, her back was bothering her big time so she kept waking up and at some point we heard her watching TV!!! It was around 4:15 am. I gotta get to bed.. I had a rough day of flying.. heehe.. Landed over the the kitchen cabinets and mom had to drag the step stool out to get me. She wasn't a happy camper! :)

Pumpkin Carving Day at the KB
Hi Romeo
I can not top yesterday with your flock joining in the Hay Ride it made for just a fabulous day at the KB and the Fall weather was so nice. A perfect day for a Hay Ride. Guess what today is at the KB it is PUMPKIN CARVING DAY so grab your pumpkin and carve away but remember to save the pumpkin seeds so we can roast them along with some marshmallows and then we can eat them. Talking about eating today it is National Pancake day and we are having blueberry and strawberry pancakes at the KB made by Cookie and Charlie and tonights movie is"The Advengers". There will be a stack of pumpkins by the Kissing Booth of various sizes for each bird. So grab your kiss and then get your pumpkin. Thanks for all your support.

Wow what a great picture and I can not Thank you enough for doing the great pictures and for advertising for me being in the KB. Thank a Million. It was so much fun having your flock on the Hay Ride yesterday and listening to Rusty singing and Smokey and the bandits having so much fun along with CocoPuff. I was so happy that RaneBeau and Riley Ann joined in the hay ride also and that Jenny Lynn and the Dallas Flock did to it made for such a great and fun filled day. Thanks again so very much.

Zippy's Journal
Day 1
After packing the van and doing my last speech of my campaign, I was very tired. I cuddled with my Pepperbird, then fell asleep. Pepper did ask me to remember to bring my fountain spa. I hope I remembered to put it in the van.
Around midnight there was a loud knocking. The castle guard had come to escort me to the castle. I think Miss Chirps has been talking to them, we WALKED for eggcersize. Actually, that helped me wake up again.
Pirate King SamIam was also up, looking a bit tired. He passed me the scepter and tried to give me his sword, but I told him a Pirate King needed to keep that! Then King Sam showed me where to start Miss Popeye's holographic tour, I sure hope I remember where later this morning. I asked King Sam to please stay and sleep until morning. Next George the TIGER started the official tour. He showed me THE MAGIC BANQUET TABLE, you know I'm ALWAYS hungry so I found that particularly interesting. I stayed there awhile, maybe Miss Chirps knows me too well, hehehe.
Then the castle staff showed me MY room.
Cookie and Polly were being quiet, I almost forgot about them. THEN they started giggling. The staff showed them where to sleep also. The moving van had arrived--I think that is where Cookie and Polly came from--and will be unpacked later today.
I can't wait to see WHAT LIZZIE is going to fix for lunch.

Please forgive my tardiness. Mom had a meeting last night, then had to mow the lawn before letting me campaign today.

“No, I got these SPECIAL for today. Look, my toys are all the way I left them; a bit chewed up, but the bells are still attached.”

Today I'd like to mention a bit about the castle environs. There are several businesses. You know the

Olly's Proud Bird Pie Shop Page#162867, The Pampered Feather Spa page#199578, The Pretty Rose Flower Shop page#188440, < And the Beak Goes On Supper Club page#52987 (Reservations Recommended), Martini Bar page#180143, The Kissing Booth (currently the kissing beach) page#163138, and of course the Thirsty Parrot Bar & Grill –TPB&G page#171712 (meet you there after the game!) which is right next door to the kissing beach are all in the castle neighborhood. I'd like to mention that Olly's Proud Bird Pie Shop has TURK on the sign. He really was a greyt chef, and not only Lizzie looked 'up' to him.
Recently Peekaboo's Pasta Palace page#239439 was built “across from the Thirsty Parrot Bar and Grill, with the Bathing Birdies Club's building and Charlie and the Lardfeathers band studio on either side. We are also very near the Proud Bird Pie Shop and the Pretty Rose Flower Shop, and a few blocks from the Kissing Beach .”

Today I will let Miss Popeye tell us about the formation of BC Homeland Security. Once set up in the castle, there has to be security.
It's Popeye.
Well, way back before BC Homeland Security there was the BCSS, Bird Channel Secret Service. When I found out that they needed officers I joined the Bird Channel, back in September of 2007. I signed up for BCSS and soon after, my sister Calico also signed up, too. The BCSS is was in the same place as the BC Homeland Security offices are now. Only there was nothing above ground and you entered through a hidden elevator in the storeroom of the pie shop.
Well, through the next few years, Calico and I worked our way up through the ranks and soon we were in top management. When the director's position opened up I was given the job
In 2010 I had to deal with a dilinquent budgie. It was messy and a lot of the BCSS came out in the open. Many birdies didn't like the secrets and covert operations, even though nothing bad was going on. After other issues, I had gone through enough and went to BOTM RaneBeau, and requested that he disolve the BCSS. He relunctlly did so. From that time on, there was no law enforcement on the BC and problems with outsiders became a problem.
Because of the problems, My sister Calico, who was BOTD on June 1st, 2010 she wrote a royal proclimation, forming The Bird Channel Department of Homeland Security and named me as the Director. You can read the Royal Proclimation on my page. It's printed under my main profile picture. There were to be no secrets and everything would be out in the open, for all to see. We built the cammand center where the old one was. Only difference is that there is a big building behind the pie shop, where there are community meeting rooms, a gym for all to use and all security agents are in uniform and drive marked patrol cars. You can see pictures of everything in my picture gallery.
I named Jenny-Lynn Dallas as my deputy director and Calico as my Chief of Operations. We just graduated our third acadamey class and sister Ginger is one of our new reserve agents, assigned to search and rescue opts.

Just a bit more on Baseball.
Since the Mighty Macaws are BIG, they were always accused of using SIZE to get an advantage when playing, so the 'No Flying Around the Bases Rule' was created. I wonder what Miss Jenny Lynn and the Zons thought about that, with their 'tude.
With so many birds wanting to play, there were LOTS of teams. The Senegal Savages split into 2 teams—9 with the original name and the rest becoming the Super Sennies. Then there was a Mixed Pois team, 'Da Pois N Dem'. The Greys became 2 CAG and 1 TAG teams. The Zons also became 2 teams. All games were played using numbers and 12 baseball probabilities ie: strike out, triple, home run etc. The hard part was writing the play by plays.WHAT a lot of coordination and work for Norman's mom and Asha's dad.
Then Asha died, and then her dad, Mr. Tim. It was sad, and hard. A fter a period of mourning, a shortened season was tried. It is a LOT of work to run the Birdie Bazbol.
