My name is Ces Erdman and I am a huge bird dork! At the moment there is not a Bird Club in Wilmington, NC. So, I decided to start one myself! Come to find out, there are a lot of bird lovers in the Wilmington area and no where to express our interests. In the beginning this site will be a way to communicate with other bird lovers, ask questions, find birds to adopt, read interesting articles, share bird links, find bird sites, and of course share pics of our babies! Thank you for stopping by to wish me Happy Birthday. It has been a fun day so far. This morning I had scrambled eggs, and was given a wonderful toy with material and lots of beads on it. I will post a picture of it later tonight. I have not had my cake yet, but I know I am getting a carrot cake. Yummy!!! I love anything made with carrots. I look forward to being a year older, and hope I can learn lots of new things, especially new ways to get into trouble. LOL. Pringle likes my new toy, so Mama will just have to make her one too. Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. Awww you're so pretty!!! My mom says if you want lovebirds, you have to give us lots of loving and handling everyday so we don't revert back to our wild nature. Usually, when lovebirds are paired up, we bond to our mates rather than our human parents. In our case, we are siblings, and Mom and Dad play with us every day, morning and again at night when they get home. They interact with us all the time. We don't have mates yet. We'll be 1 year old in January, and then she might find us some mates. Until then..we're just loveable bundles of feathers that love kisses, cuddling, and belly rubs!!! Most humans prefer to keep just one lovebird per cage if they want them as pets. That's not to say you can't have more than one in multiple cages as pets!!
