Hey, Max, we almost missed seeing your last message, as it was surrounded by a bunch of TiaMaria's. So you're looking for the dry heat of Arizona instead of the humid stuff here in Florida, huh? Can't say we blame you. Hope you meet lots of nice birds down there. A couple African Greys moved in one street over for us. Now we're spending our mornings calling back and forth to each other. Maxie sweetie, we are having kind of a chilly and rainy day here in Rock Island today, but we don't mind! I don't have a lot of note time today, dad is going to an old timers luncheon with a bunch of retirees from where he worked for so long, he said it is good to touch base with all these wonderful people, and re-hash all the old stories, and keep up to date with there lives! It is also fresh fruit and veggie day at the grocery store! Please give my love to all in your home,have a great day, see ya tomorrow...

Hi Maxie
How are u sweetie? Mom only got a few blogs out yesterday, so she's sending the same blog with some new added to it! Mom got her cortisone injections in both of her shoulders yesterday, which she gets every 3 months. She usually gets some relief almost instantly, but her right shoulder actually feels worse today! Mom also went to her granddaughter's preschool graduation last evening! I had an exciting day today! It was mom's granddaughter Olivia's last day of preschool, & I got to go! Most of Livi's classmates came running up to mom at the graduation last night, very excited that I'm coming to their class today! Mom takes me to the preschool classes there every year, & I love seeing all the kids as much as they love seeing me! The only difficult part of any excursions, is mom getting me back into my carrier!
Mom is doing good today, but her nose is very sore! Mom has been giving me belly kisses for nearly 16 yrs, without incident! It's swollen on the right side & a bit bruised, even tho the damage was done on the inside! Because my nails & toes are so long, most of the damage was 2 inches down in the nasal cavity! The ER Doc said it was a good thing mom had previously had her adenoids removed, coz my nails would have destroyed the right one! Mom has to be rechecked in 2 weeks, or immediately if she starts bleeding again! She had to be cauterized in 4 different places & has to take an antibiotic! Mom said that the scariest part of having my toes stuck up her nose, was that she was very afraid my 2 toes would end up broken...mom was very relieved that my toes are absolutely fine! Mom refers to this incident as "NoseGate 2013"!
Mom doesn't want anyone to think that the ER Nurses & Docs were being discourteous, they were not! They were picturing a tiny pet bird, like a Budgie, not a large Macaw! Mom showed them a pic of me, they weren't expecting me to be so big! When mom said "Be glad I got her loose before I came in"! That's when they started laughing!

I am trying to grab the remote, the mouse, mom's cord for her mp3 player and anything else I can get my beak on!! Yep! It's a great day!hehehehehe
It's making it hard on mom to blog for me but I know she can rise to the challenge! She keeps putting me back on her knee and I say "hello Sugar!"
Not much else going on today. It's just fine with me since I'm having a really fun time climbing all over the puter and all over mom!

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

How are you, you beautiful, wonderful bird? Hopefully safe tonight despite all the wicked weather that's brewing out there. I bet you and your mom are really wishing you were in AZ right about now instead of in the middle of a tornado's path. That's probably not the way you want all your stuffed moved; twister relocation program. They're horrible packers and don't keep anything organized. Be safe, Pretty Girl.
Well, tomorrow's our first game of the season and I am SO READY to do this! Can't wait to see you there with your catcher's mask and mitt and likely a pair of heels that'll have the Phoenix Base Fliers totally distracted. Shoot, I'm worried about ME being distracted!

...no matter, I'll be there to pick you up before the game, I need my catcher! I left va small pep talk on the Raiders page! Our bird club meeting went really well and after Arthur settled down, he did okay also! He did a lot of growling, barking, and wolf whistles, crazy bird! My Raiders play their first game tomorrow, and I am cautiously optimistic about our chances! Win or lose, we shall use this game as a learning experience and build from it! HELLO IT'S ME WADDLES AND MY TYPEST MOM FINALLY. WE ARE THE ONLY 2 UP NOW SO WE BEEN REALLY QUIET MOM SAID LET THE REST OF THE FIBLINGS AND HUMANS SLEEP IN. THST INCLUDES DAD AND BROTHERS TO. I SAY THEY LAZY. MOM AND I WAS SETTING OUTSIDE BUT IT STARTED TO RAIN SO WE BACK IN. OUR PATIO IS COVER ONE BUT THE WIND WAS BLOWING AND I DIDN'T LIKE THAT. WE ARE UNDER A SEVER WEATHER WATCH ALL DAY LONG AND INTO THE NIGHT. THEY ARE SAYING DAMAGING WINDS HAIL AND A POSSIBLE TORNADOS . SO MOM GETTING EVERYTHING READY JUST IN CASE WE HAVE TO GO TAKE COVER.. ARE YOU IN THE WATCH TODAY TO? WAS ANY OF THOSE TORNADOS CLOSE TO YOU THAT TOUCHED DOWN ON SATURDAY? STAY SAFE AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE SKY AND KEEP TUNED TO THE WEATHER. WE HAVE A WEATHER ALERT RADIO I DONT LIME IT WHEN IT GOES OFF ITS SCARY AND LOUD.NBUT THE SIRENS OUTSIDE ARE MORE SCARIER WE ARE GETTING SO EXCITED CAUSEV MOM GOT ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT OF WORK THEN SHE ALL OURS WOOT WOOT . THE WEATHER HERE IS BEEN REALLY NICE MOM EVEN TOOK ME ON A WALK WE TALKED TO THE NEIGHBORS IT WAS FUN SEEING EVERYONE AGAIN AND CATCHING UP ON THINGS. WE BEEN SPENDING LOTS OF TIME OUTSIDE WITH THE FAMILY ENJOYING THE SUN AND FRESH AIR.
COCO IS FINALLY WEANED OFF THE BABY BIRD FORMULA SHE THE CINNAMON BABY TIEL. BUT SHILOH THE PEARL BABY TIEL STILL ON ONE HABD FEEDING A DAY SHE EATING A LITTLE SEED BUT LIKES THAT YUCKY BABY BIRD FORMULA.
I SUPERVISED MOM ON SATURDAY WHILE SHE WASHED THE PATIO AND PATIO FURNITURE ALL OFF THEN HER AND BROTHERS MOWED THE YARD SO I REALLY HAD TO SUPERVISE FROM INSIDE AND WATCH THEM CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY DID A GOOD MOWING JOB. THEN AT DINNER TIME I SUPERVISED THAT TO. MOM SAID TODAY IS NAIL TRIMS AND CAGE CLEANING GRRRRRRRRRR. How are u sweetie? Nothing much happened here today, except mom stayed home all day! We had a beautiful day of 78! I spent a lot of time outside today, but didn't get to drive my car, coz I don't really like to be out in the direct sun! Mom swears that I can smell when rain is coming, coz when it got real cloudy & looked like it would rain, I started freaking out & wouldn't let her take me off the porch! I ran up her arm & scrambled onto her back & told her NOOOOO, I hold on to mom's shirt, pant, & gently flap my wings, while on her back...mom calls it my rain dance I wouldn't get off her back & onto her hand until she went back inside! Mom calls Mom told me it was not raining, but I wasn't taking her word about it! I DO NOT like OUTSIDE shower baths!

Hey Maxie!!
I spent the afternoon outside because I was driving mom nutzzzz! Mom was cooking and I was screaming for whatever it was she was making!! heehehe.. Mom got mad and told dad to roll me outside on to the patio... It works every time!! I get to go outside while mom is cook'n and cleaning! It was a beautiful sunny warm 87 day!! :)

Hi Maxie, are ya being a good girl for the company
My daddy's checkup went pretty well, but had to have his meds readjusted, his BP was to high making him dizzy when he stands up! He must go back in three weeks for a quick re-check of things! He was really bummed for having to miss the baseball game, and it looked like good one! Congrats to Screech for joining the 10K Club! Dad has a QCPS bird club meeting this afternoon and evening, poor Arthur is going to get a nails and beak job, and I am taking bets on how much blood will be spilled, LOL! How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

Thank you for the invite I will have to see what mom has planned for the weekend, otherwise I can just come and hang out. So how have you been? Do you have plans for the weekend? Its been very warm here and today it was muggy. We are in a for severe thunderstorms this weekend with possible tornados starting tomorrow night into Sunday so that is kind of scary it sure is humid so perfect ingredients. Hi Maxie,
here i am again at long last! Mum just posted new pics.
She made a cute new doggie, a blue headed pionus, a hyacinth macaw, a golden conure, even an octopus & an Indian ring neck. She's also made a new female ekkie & believe it or not, a pink pig with some piglets & a baby seal, but no pictures of them yet.
Our nice warm weather has finally come to an end. It is down right cold now, with a very stiff breeze blowing, but the water is still surprisingly warm (she just had a swim) but she says when you come out, you better hurry into the hot shower. Hope you'll have a nice w/e.

How are u sweetie? Actually, it wasn't too bad being stuck in my cage, still covered & in the dark til 2:30 yesterday. Before bedtime Tuesday night, mom hung in my cage, the last one of Uncle Chuck's world-famous toys! The one that had my name spelled out...TIAMARIA! Mom is going to post a pic of what's left of my toy in my gallery! I worked it over good! So at least I had something fun to do during my unscheduled confinement period! Thanks again sweet Uncle Chuck, my toys were awesome & I thoroughly enjoyed them!
I am thoroughly enjoying mom's guilt trip! She can't do enough for me today! She's waiting on me beak & foot...even more than usual & doing & playing everything that I want to do! She even said I was having sketties & mandarin oranges for dinner! The few hours of solitary confinement was definitely worth it...considering the VIP treatment I'm receiving today! Plus, SHE hasn't left MY side all day! It was an EXCELLENT day to be me! Can't wait til the NEXT time mom screws up! Hehehe!
We've been having lovely weather here...84 yesterday, 80 today, mid 70s-80 for the next week! 40% chance of thunder BOOMS Wednesday, & 50% Thursday!

How are u sweetie? Mom is in the doghouse today because of a SERIOUS infraction! Mom had a sleepover at sissy's house last night, coz she watched her granddaughter coz sissy had to take mom's youngest grandson to Children's Hospital for an appt...poor little guy, he is 6 years old & has Celiac's Disease! Mom was going to bring Livi home with her to uncover me, but sis called & said she was almost home, to just wait then she would take Livi to preschool & mom could head home. WELLLL, she threw a fit coz she wanted her Grammy to take her to school! Of course mom caved & took her to school, but now mom didn't have time to run home to uncover me & make it back to sissy's to go & watch oldest grandson's 3rd grade program. WELLLLL, mom didn't get home til 2:30pm! Mom was upset & was afraid that I'd be very angry with her! As soon as she uncovered me, I said HI MOM, immediately gave her kisses, then looked her in the eye & called her a SILLY BIRD! I LOVE guilt trips! Parronts are such suckers when it comes to guilt trips! Hehehe! I will be firmly planted on mom's arm til I DECIDE I want to go to bed! I won't let her out of my sight tomorrow either...THEN maybe I'll let her off the hook! It's actually a lot of fun watching her type with one hand & me on the other, trying in eat the phone as she's typing! Hehehe...I LOVE paybacks!
It is VERY humid during spring & summer here in PA! The higher the temps, the more severe & violent the thunderstorms! When I first came to live with mom 16 yrs ago, I was frightened & apprehensive of many things...especially thunder! If there was loud thunder during the night, I would scream, fall out of my bed (I sleep in a large
acrylic ring) & flap around wildly, often breaking feathers! Mom started making up games for things that I was afraid of! Since I was sooooo afraid of thunder, she would make wild arm gestures, laugh, squeal, & say BOOM! In no time at all, I began to look forward to things that had previously terrified me! So now when it thunders, I laugh, squeal & say BOOM...& the louder the thunder, the more fun I have!

Hello Maxie~
I hope everything is going great. It's been nice here but nothing exciting going on. We are finishing up the laundry today. Like I said, boring!
I'm hanging out in the play cage eating my apple and almonds and planning my next attack on that lovely toy hanging there! It's always a good day when I can make a lovely pile of wood at the bottom of my cage!

Awwww the poor hoomans and their allergies. Mom has been tested and they say she isn't allergic to anything ... mom thinks they are full of it cause she always has a stuffy nose ... sigh. The tests don't test for Cockatoo dust .... so what do the Drs know hehehe.
The whole flock was snatched out of our apartments yesterday and off to the groomer we went. Cappy did exceptionally well and was actually the best behaved and easiest to groom .... if you can believe that lol.
Mom spent the rest of the day cuddling with us ... can't ask for anything better :) Except for food maybe LOL.

How are u sweetie? Thankfully, it's our last(?) day of cold temps! We had a high of 55 today, tomorrow will be 80! It's unbelievable that some of our westcoast friends have had record temps over 100 degrees, & we've had record temps of highs in the low 40s & freezing temps of 28-30 at night forcing mom to get her winter coat out again! For the next week our highs will be in the high 70s-80! I'll definitely get to go out & drive my car in the mornings or early evenings! Tho the weather guessers are calling for thunder booms almost every day! That's what I call thunder...BOOM! Every time it thunders, I say BOOM, & I ohhhhhhh & awwwe at the pretty lightning! I love watching God's weather shows! Tho I LOVE a nice lonnnnng shower, I freak out if I'm outside & get rained on! Showers are only fun INSIDE! I hope u had a great day, & I'll see u tomorrow!
Thanks for ur condolences. Mom's precious Chloe died on her 9th birthday of lung cancer. Mom is very broken hearted, she thought she had about 6 more months with her. Mom IS comforted in the fact that she gave Chloe a wonderful life, & loved her so much, & she can feel Chloe's presence around her.
It's funny u mentioned having kitty cats, we have 3...a boy & girl Siamese, Asia is 11 & Lil Man will be 11 end of Sept., & Oscar, a gorgeous dark gray & white stray that mom took in, he's around 7. I LOVE climbing up onto the couch when the 3 of them are laying there! As my head appears, they scramble in 3 different directions, hehehe, it's so much fun!

The win was a real tribute to Aunt Denise, who does so much for us here on BC. She made my pic! Sorry you didn't get to the milonga earlier, it was fun.
We had a frost overnight, but mom covered all the new plants, so we were okay. This morning, she had 2 tours in the museum, one in dinosaurs, and one about animal adaptations. Then it was off to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, and finally here to blog.
Congrats to the Pois for winning their first game. Today the Kevlar Keets (Willie's team) and on Thursday the CJCs (Falco's team) are playing. We are anxious to see how the new teams perform, too.

Today it was hard to get to BC earlier. Tomorrow we will be celebrating Baby's hatchday #10. Mommy bought a cake for her. It will be a busy day for us tomorrow. Mommy has been working 5am to 12:30 during the last week. The weather is in the 80's range here. See you next week.
