My new mom and dad heard about me from a friend at Dad’s work. Because of circumstances beyond my first Dad’s control, we were forced to look for a new family for me. My new dad’s friend is a part of my first family, and he also knew that Dad and Mom wanted to adopt a Blue-And-Gold (like ME!) very badly after they lost their B & G girl, Rosalie Hale Bopp, last fall. ~~ It was KISMET ! ! ! What other reason could there possibly be for my having family in South Carolina knowing both that I needed a new home, and that Mom and Dad needed another Blue-And-Gold to love?! ~~ Mom and Dad drove over 2,000 miles roundtrip, just meet me and bring me home. I officially came to my new “flockily” (Mom makes up some very strange words!) on March 1, 2008. And something tells me that no matter where we are, how strange I feel in my new surroundings, or whatever the future holds, it will hold me safely, securely, and happily in the arms and hearts of this family; and forever in the hearts and memories of my first family.. |
