Hello from Caymus...
Hi Kilo! My mom is doing a little research on Red-Bellied Parrots to see how compatible one would be with me. Do you have any other flock members? Are any of them Conures? The reason she asks is the weekend my mommy and daddy went to a bird show and met a 6 week old male Red-Belly. Mom really fell for him, and daddy’s “thinking about it.” But mom wants to ask around to see if other mommies or daddies have any advice on if bird like you would tolerate someone like me who is constantly “on the go” and has very little fear of anyone or anything. Thanks for visiting me! My family has read that Alexandrine's don't like to be affectionate, too. It took me over a year to warm up to my new flock, but now I love them and like getting scritches and snuggling. In spite of what the books might say, I am a very friendly, affectionate bird!

Thanks for visiting me. I'm not too into being cuddly but There used to be a male Mustache here and he was way more affectionate. I've been a bit lovey lately (tis the season) But normally, I like to be with mom, we have some great disscussions, but not much on cuddling, lol. I leave the cuddling to my sister the Sun Conure, lol.
I'm definetly with ya on the grapes and peanuts thou, yummm!

I'm so happy to hear back from you! Yes, yes, shredable treats are just the best-- my weakness is for carrots. Mommy doesn't let me have too many because my whole face turns orange-- well, my beak and the skin around my beak-- but I get at least one every few days. Peas are great, too. Have you tried brussel sprouts? They are like a whole head of cabbage that is just your size! Cool and shredable! Mommy did find one new training treat--Gerber baby banana puffs. They are really good, but she'll only let Daddy give them to me. I say "step-up" too. You should really get in touch with your inner Diva and try that flight suit. It gives you access to a whole world of outside and car fun. Without my flight suit I would be stuck flying circles around the house. With it, I get to go outside and all over the place! It took quite a while for me to warm up to it, but once I figured out what it meant, it got lots easier. Mommy used to put on gardening gloves any time she was going to put me in it, but she doesn't need those anymore. Don't give up, you handsome devil! :) V2U! LOL, My redbelly brother Xerxes loves to LOOK like he is standing on my head. I sure don't let him really do that. Harley the Caique does it, and he gets away with it because he is my best friend. My brother Uzi got Bird of the month today. I'm so jealous!!! Hi! I'm a red belly too!!
What do you like to play with? I love empty tissue and cracker boxes.
Do you like to dip food, such as crackers or pizza crust in your water dish and then fish out and eat soggy pieces of it? I love doing that!
Here's a hint.. When you're trying to climb up to your water dish with something big, hook the cracker or whatever over the side and use it as a tool to help pull yourself up with! It works every time... It makes my "people" laugh too.Come visit me, Sunny.
