 Well, I went to the bird fair here in town. I ALWAYS go look at the B&G macaws because I LOVE them. I had been looking at the macaws this one breeder had the past few times I went but none of her birds took to me. I then wandered around a bit and saw this B&G macaw being toted around in a blanket and after holding him, I knew I wanted THAT macaw. Then, I saw something unique...he has ONE pink toenail. It was too cool and he was such a great macaw that I HAD to have him! So, I bought him, took him home, and he got REALLY sick. So, I had to bring him back to the breeders about 2 months ago. They took him to the vet and since he looked like he was going to die, they had me picked out another bird. I was disappointed and VERY upset but understood. Well, he survived...the vet was amazed so they weaned him AGAIN because he regressed from being sick, and he came home with me. Well, 2 months after being here, he went back to the vet for his final check-up after being sick and they discovered that he has a liver problem. So, he is going back to the breeder’s so they can take care of him and they are going to give me another B&G.. |
