It is with unspeakable sadness that I must share with you that my Asha, my Princess, left this earthly life to be with her predecessors at The Rainbow Bridge early this morning, February 28, 2011.
I have no idea what to do without her, or where to go from here. I only know that all she ever did was love me and that I was blessed beyond knowing while we shared this life.

I adopted him after my previous owner had to let me go. It wasn’t hard to pick my new Daddy, he was the best looking one! My Human had always wanted a bird but had never really had the chance. We kind of came together at the best possible time. I helped him through some rough times and he gave me a stable home after I had been shuffled through several places without being able to enjoy a permanent home. We’re together now and are one big happy family at last!. |

AshaGirl! How th' heck've ya been?! Better 'n most o' us down here on th' planet I s'ppose.
Hey, I talked Ma int' bringin' me by t'day 'cause, well, 'cause it's 2 years you (Mr Tim) took off on us, all of a sudden like, without s' much as a "by yer leave" an' left us all hangin' wonderin' what the heck we were gonna do without a Commissioner on the 3rd day o' the BazeBol Season. Somehow, ya managed to get Ma through that one.
That's why I'm here t'day, more than anything else.
I'm hopin' I can enlist you an' Asha t' help the woman's spirits a little. She's havin' a dickens of a time tryin' to put all the pieces t'gether to get this Season off the ground for us all.
Don't get me wrong. She's not goin' it alone. She's definitely followin' your advice on that one. She's got some o' the bestest BazeBol Buds she could hope for helpin' 'er out! An' half of 'ems the basic corps you had whilst you was in th' batter's box ... er, I mean, Head Office. *GRiN* But there's a piece o' her heart that's lackin', same as for a lot o' other fids I guess, that keeps 'er from divin' in head first.
So, could yas both do me an' all the rest o' the League a flavor? Could ya just give 'er a little Heavenly Nudge? We'd sure repercerate it!
Oh yeah, an' yas can wish me a Happy HatchDay t'day too! I'm a TEENAGER now!!! LOOK OUT WORLD!

As A Memorial To You, Miss Asha,
Congrats to you, Angel Asha. I hope you are having a fine time up there on the Rainbow Bridge. You're a bird who was able to be reunited with her owner. It's just my personal belief, you must know, the Bible according to SamIAm's bird view of it, but I don't think you're on the Bridge anymore! I think you live with Mr. Tim in that mansion that was talked about. A "room" that was being made 'special' by the good Lord for Mr. Tim. With that much love for you that Mr. Tim had....you bet you'd be included in the places he would be at. There will be many others, I'm sure, who will be excited to see him, too. Mr. Tim would be mighty pleased that you have won BOTD as your angelic self. All joy & peace be with you, Mr. Tim, & those who love you both. ... talk about a day that rocked our world... your dying all of a sudden really took the wind out of our sails. I remember being totally shocked to the point I just refused t'believe the sad news. I had the hardest time wrappin' my brain around the idea that you were gone, no longer there with your dad. Talk about sad... I sure was. Miss ya still t'this day Asha You always made me laugh or smirk or shake my head with one of those "that's Asha for ya" expressions. You were awesome Zon~Girl.

I will always remember this day. I remember Uncle Chuck calling mom and me and telling us that you had flown off to heaven. It just broke my heart and it is still sad to think about that day.
I hope you know that you are remembered here and Jen tells me all kinds of great stories about you! It makes me feel like I am getting to know you better!

Jenny Lynn walks tearfully out to the Short Stop..
...position on Kevlar field, and kneels in reverent prayer for her one time best friend! Jen looks skyward as if she was talking to Angel Asha's image, and says, oh my darling friend, and mentor, why did the Lord have to call you home so soon before your time, the very thought of you and the old times we had just breaks my heart, they dont make 'em like they used to! We have a great Raiders team assembled again this year, and my new best friend Sugar will be anchoring Short Stop! She is pretty like you always wee, and she is so sweet, but not as rowdy as you and I, and Maxie will be there, in her skimpy baseball suit and 4 inch spike heels! I have made peace with the Kommish, at least she don't have any warrants out for my arrest so far this year! Give my love to uncle Timmer, this tear the Raiders are going to dedicate the season to you and our lost team mate Mozart...
