  HI Parker
I can't believe you aren't inundated with blogs. I love the article in Bird Talk and all the things you and Pepper get into. I have a neat mom too but she isn't as dedicated as you. I am 15 years old and stay very healty. Mom wishes she had gotten me a little friend when I was very young because now she has been advised that, since I think I am people, I might not like another bird. so - what do they know!

You and Pepper keep on entertaining your Mom so she can keep on entertaining us.

Always a vote,

Come visit me, Hi-Old Friends, I miss you & hope u will write..

  Thanks For Saying Hi Back!
I just recently read your section in Bird Talks February 2011 issue. You are a very smart bird! And so polite too! I don't know how you do it! Anyways, thanks for replying to my last blog, it really made my day! I probably will thank the editors, for letting you make my favorite section in Bird Talk, and for putting me in this last issue. (I wrote a letter to the mailbag a while ago and I just saw it in the magazine) :) Tell Pepper I said hi!

  Yo, Parker!
Hey ol' buddy, ol' pal! How have you been? It's me, Caymus. You know, the funniest Conure in the world? hehehe I'd ask how you and Pepper have been but mom has kept me up to date on some of your shennanigans from Bird Talk. Oh Park...I wish I could have seen the two of you in that resturant you mom wrote about. I would have been cheering and applauding the whole time. Ok, and I probably would have tipped over a plate or two myself. (grin)

We've had some sad news this year and some great news. Sadly, we lost Peachy, our sweet Canary, over the Rainbow Bridge this past June. Over the winter we had the heater on so much we think it bothered her respiratory system and she just never got over it.

Good news though...we adopted a beautiful Mexican Red-Headed Amazon in July and has become a perfect fit into our flock. She's a lot more independant than I am so I neither of us have to fight for attention. And mom gives both of us our own special one-on-one time each day. Not that I'm gonna be allowed to try and go over and kiss her, but I don't have the urge to kick any tailfeather either.

Hope all is well down south and you'll come fly by soon. Big hugs coming your way!

  Hello From Kelly
Is that a piece of cantaloup you're dining on in your profile picture? That's a favorite summer treat of mine. Enjoyed several chunks of it just yesterday. Today was veggie day; the cucumbers were my favorite from among the selection. I trust the birdie beans you mentioned in your note of last week have been enjoyed since then. My mom marvels that I'm so meticulous about peeling each and every one of any bean I find in my food dish. Peelings are nature's wrapper and are meant for tossing, right?

The latest Bird Talk magazine is here but I've not yet heard your Pub Tale. That's a must for tomorrow. I'll let you know how envious I am of yet another of your adventurous outings. I need more of that in my life; adventure. Take that Poirot- his life is one exciting thing after another! Lucky for me, he shares his pictures and stories with me on a daily bases. I love the BC!!

Here's to the rest of the week and all the chances before you for creating the next Bird Talk column.

  Hello Parker,
Thank you for flying by my page. If fame is being offered sunflower seeds then I don't want any of it and I'm afraid I'm not too keen on almonds either. Sometimes I'll open them and let my little sister, Pringle the tiel have a piece. I just read about your pub experience with knocking everything over, to get to that mans lunch. I don't see any problem with that. There was a tempting plate of good food within reach, why not help yourself?

had a greyt adventure yesterday, when Mama took me on a long hike up the mountains. Before we left, I got lots of flying in, so I wouldn't get bored of sitting in my backpack carrier for so many hours.
I was free in the car for the 45 min drive to the hiking trail and that added to the fun of the adventure.
Once on the trail, I was perfectly comfortable looking around at the scenery and chewing up the inside of a paper towel roll. I've never seen so much space in all my life. The mountains went on for as far as I could see and it was a breathtakingly beautiful panorama. There are so many colourful wild flowers and the manzanita, sculpted by the wind and elements into unique twisted shapes is something any bird would love to have for a playgym.
Then, to my amazement, in the warmth of the sun, we came across some snow. The snow is keeping itself insulated, but it was a strange thing to feel sun warmed rocks inches away from the snow. A large bank of snow covered the trail, so for awhile it was a very rocky and slippery climb over boulders and trees bent down from a season of snow sitting on them.
Finally, when we stopped for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised to be presented with my own mini sandwich. Before we left, I was asked what I wanted on my sandwich, to which I promptly replied, "Papaya." Instead I found some cheddar cheese, which I delicately ate, after tossing aside the lettuce.
On the way back, because of the difficulties of climbing above the snow, it was agreed that following the path would be better. That was slow going. The snow was extremely slippery and Melian, our long legged Saluki, was charging up and down the slope, almost sliding right into everyone and wondering why those clumsy humans were so hopeless at this easy task. At one point, Mama slipped a little and everyone asked if I was okay. But I'm used to clinging to the bars of my carrier with my beak and one foot, while the other is on the perch.
Well, I was a very tired and happy grey when I came home. My evening oatmeal has never been so tasty, nor my sleeping cage so welcoming.
I experienced being a penguin, seeing all that snow and felt so free being on top of the world.

It was very nice meeting you.

Come visit me, Pepper, Poirot, Pringle & Artistic Avian Avatars.

As in Parker the Grey from Bird Talk? I had no idea you had a page here on the BC. Might I say, I love you and Pepper's tales in the magazine. You two are delightfully incorrigible! (Good behavior is boring, technically. What would there be to write about if you were all mannerly and sedate? Not a thing.) Keep up the antics. I love reading about them.

  Hello Parker,
I was very excited when I found that you have a page here on the BirdChannel. I love your column in BT (it's what I read first), especially since it seems to me that we are almost identical in character. I love to get into trouble, by throwing food at the dog, hanging from pictures frames....

  Hi Parker!

My mom is a big fan of your mom's memos to you and Pepper. You two birds make us laugh. I especially liked your story about tossing your ball into your mom's beer glass. I once kept tossing a grape at my mom and when she went to pick it off the kitchen floor, I tossed another onto the top of her head and said OOOPS! She was not amused for some reason, but I saw her trying not to laugh. We greys must do what we can to liven things up!

We were informed that birds cannot write (but they -can-talk), and most birds don't seem to have enough control of their personal assistants to write for them. Perhaps next time! I'm sure one day birds will have a complaint corner, but meantime, put it in the BT Suggestion Box. (Aka my beak, to DESTROY. Bwuhahahahahaha.)

  Hello Parker
We have been enjoying your momma's memos to you. One thing that I can't figure out though...what's up with Pepper? Do you cause most of the mischief in your flock? Well, I cause more than my share of mischief in our flock, but some of the others cause their share. Malachite PS. Momma always says that she wishes she could take us to work too, but she is sure that the security guards wouldn't let us in.

VOTE4U, Hi, Cuties!! I can't believe we are neighbors!! You guys are really famous!! (whoops, maybe your Mom didn't tell you) And here Mommy tells me I was famous from just my little photo in Birdtalk a few months back and my photo and article last on on birchannel about us IRN's. LOL I talk lots so maybe we could talk sometime. Oh, wait Mom doesn't let me have her cell phone anymore since I bit the little rubber thing off the top, what's an antenna for anyway? Maybe we could meet for treats, Mom & Dad takes me lots of places cause I love to go "bye-bye", especially in my stroller to the art & bird shows, I don't know why people stop & stare, I see those skin babies in strollers all the time! But mine is pretty yellow, like me, so maybe that's why! Come visit my page, oh yeah I have a new sister, she's grey but not "a grey", he,he,he! She still bites Mom but Mom's working with her to feel safe & comfortable here. She was at the pet store for her first 1 1/2 yrs and too many kids teased her. Momma's only been a bird Mommy for 2 yrs with me & she got me to stop biting, Ok it took months but she says it seems Libby is just not getting better and it makes Mom sad. Hey your Mom is really bird savy, does she have any suggestions, you guys don't bite, right? he,he,he! Hope to hear from you soon our new So FL BBFF's.   An Ode to my Fellow Florida Flock by Caymus
Down South in Naples resides Bogie the Grey,
And every summer he goes up North to play.
When the temps start dropping he will come back my way,
And sit on the lanai with his parronts drinking latte!

Sprout and his flock reside on the Coast,
And he has the best parronts, he eagerly boasts.
He may be shy, but not his buddy Noodles
And the rest of the flock, each one cute as a doodle!

Pepper and Parker are new pals of mine
And I quite like their mom, whose writing’s divine!
They live down south in Hollywood (no, not California)
And they certainly are characters, I must warn ya!

Louie from Coral Springs was one of my first buddies.
Now they’ve added another, Miss Libby Lu who is lovely.
Their mom brings smiles to all birdie faces
When she sends homemade gifts and cards to their resident places.

Over in Clearwater is Rocky the ‘Too,
With Bobo and Chewy, they make quite a crew!
The Rockster is such a smarty,
And he will be 10 this year, a reason to party!

Misha the Nandy just a short distance away…
I still have not met her but I heard she can play!
As a fellow Conure I’m sure I can say
How much she must make her mom’s day.

The handsomest of them all is Michelangelo
Because he’s a Dusky Conure that’s also my bro!
Separated when we were so young in age
We met again on this wonderful BirdChannel page.

There’s Knuckles who whistles better than me,
And also a Seni by the name of Queakie.
Timba & Treasure, Turtle and his flock,
And Sunny the ‘Tiel…I like them a lot!

Across the state, my hugs I extend,
As I am so blessed to have all of you as my friends!

Come visit me, Blanche, Caymus & Peachy (2004-2010) - Thank you for BOTD!.

Hey Parker (& Pepper), I’m just flyin’ by real quick to tell you a “joke of the day!” (hey, no groaning…I SWEAR this one is funny!) Ok, so… was the Roman Empire cut in half? ??????????? With a pair of Caesars! hahahohohehehe!!! Oh come on now, you totally laughed! I saw you! (grin) Big birdy hugs and a vote coming your way!
