SO HAPPY YOU FOUND THE RIGHT HOME FOR YOURSELF...I KNOW I SURE DID...;-) HOW SPOILED I AM AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
THE MATERIAL WRAPPED AROUND MY PVC PIPE ON MY OUTDOOR PERCH IS WHAT MY MOM CALLS A "POLLY PERCH"....IT CAME ON THE PVC PERCH WHEN WE BOUGHT IT...IT'S GREAT AS WHEN I'M OUTSIDE ON THE LANAI I DON'T WORRY ABOUT FALLING OFF, YA KNOW? ;-)

That is one of the most gorgeous pictures of any bird I have ever seen. Full feathered and simply beautiful. Sorry to read about his abuse, still suffers from redirected agression. As long as he doesnt mutilate himself. Remember positive reinforcement. I have a yellow collared who was previously abused before we took him in. I am all too familiar with the redirected agression issue. It takes time and alot of patience which I am sure you are well experienced with... but also very rewarding when you succeed in turning it all around. Sammy is simply wonderful and so are you for taking him in. Come visit me, Sully & Roxie.

Boy he sure is handsome! Don't you just love macaws! I have to admit that I favor my macaws over all my other birds. I love them all like children but the macaws are the dearest to my heart. I have a RB cockatoo, mealy amazon, female eclectus, and my daughter has a mustache parakeet. And THEN there are my macaws: Tyler - GW, Xena - BG, Sammy - Severe, and Hahnzi - Hahn's.
