I know all about that 'busy mom' thing; mine has taken to spending all my free time in the yard working on plants and their competitors, the weeds. I liked it better when my time was spent sitting on her arm, giving her kisses or playing with the buttons on her jacket, fun stuff like that. Now I just watch her rush this way then that way. Fortunately I get to do this outside where she's at so that's a nice consolation. Once in a while I even get to sit on the wheelbarrow and play with the weeds she yanks out of the ground. This week tho she was working with rocks and bricks so I opted to stay away from the wheelbarrow... didn't want my toes getting smashed! Sunday I hope to be involved in the planting of the pansies. I can tell ya right now I'm going to try and pinch me off a couple to nibble on. I hear their really rather tasty. Hopin' your weekend's a very nice one. Oh, before I go, how did that nail-trimming go? It'll be good to have that dreadful project done and over with for sure. Are the finches still boarding at your place? There are both zebra and society finches that live here at my place. That's one bird sound I haven't added to my repertoire. I can do a volumeous rendition of a cockatiel tho... much to my mom's distress. She's always pleased when her dear 'tiels can be moved to their summer housing out in the 'mini-barn' where they can be as noisy as they wanna be without disturbing the peace in the house. Problem is I've learned to cheep just like them except louder than all eight put together. Tee-hee. Ok, signing off now. I don't know what it is about you but I get to chattin' and just can't stop! Hey there Pippin. So I had the worst thing happen to me today!!!! Me and Bella went to the vet. I had to go get my wings, nails, and beak trimmed. I was GROWLING. Mom didn't know birds could growl louder than a dog. I had tears rolling outta my eyes. Mom felt so bad. She told me that I wouldn't have to go through that if I would just use my cement perch. Hey there Pippin. That picture of us three birds was our Easter Breakfast this year. Mom made us scrambled eggs (she even left the shell for us, MMmm) and let us eat at the table with us. The cockatoo is my sister Bella. She is a Goffin's. I guess she's ok. She has only lived with us a lil over a month. Anything fun happening your way? Nothing here. Mom and dad are working today.
