  Hello from all of us...
It's been a little while since we flew by.. our mom has a few questions for ya. 1. will we still mate even if our mom dont give us nesting boxes? there is 2 males & 1 female in one cage here. 2. How can our mom prevent mating with out splitting us up? We have grown to love each other very much & our mom would feel bad if she split us up.
Our mom could use any info that you wouldnt mind giving her!

I get people asking for Budgies all the time. The Spangles are resting so I don't have any yet but I have two pair that are thinking seriously about nesting. :) Send me, privately, the e-mail you want me to refer these clients to and I'll forward their requests to you. Be careful of the Scammers. Where I advertise, I get triple scams to one real client. I'd just love to have a baby or two from you but my husband's shop is moving to Texas. This is the second shop closing for us in less than a year. Like rats deserting a sinking ship and leaving the crew to fend for themselves. God will provide but we have to be thrifty.   Greetings from the Land of English Budgies!
WoW! Did I get carried away! Just fell in love with Jeff Hall's Aviary. Spotlessly clean, bright, airy and he's very willing to answer all my questions. But, as you asked, the MOST fun was pairing up all those gorgeous birds with females. Double WoW. Let's see, First, the Violet cinnamon hen is engaged to my Blue split ino male. He's the biggest male I had BEFORE I went to Ohio. This male has some yellow face blue type 1 sisters so I'm hoping for some interesting combinations. The Spangle green female was already bonded with a medium green male and since Jeff couldn't stand to split them up, I kept them together here as well. Now, for the young medium green and normal green boys. I choose 3 females and put them all in a flight cage to see who would choose whom. I put in: a Sky blue greywing female, the yellowface blue type 1 sister to the blue male mentioned above, and a white lacewing female. I'm hoping to get lots of blues and split to blues with the rarer wing colors. The size alone is amazing. I'm changing all my budgies over to the feeding methods that Jeff uses plus, I will be keeping the Zupreem. IF I decide to sell any, I want them to be able to eat the food where they are going in case the newbie bird owner doesn't want to feed the way he is a LOT of work but you'll understand when you go see his birds. Jeff gave me one gorgeous green cinnamon female. I call her Grace because she bows her head a lot. Someday I'll have her xrayed to see why but in the mean time, she is big and beautiful and in the baby flight. I have a blue male split greywing, a Blue spangle, a Dark green male, two cremino females, a dark eyed clear female and another all white lacewing female. They are all growing up together for a few more months. Hey! Just for fun, I made another website just for the birds! Please check it out and let me know. Its a free site from Such fun to do. Their website wizard was amazingly simple. Still working on it but someone stole my husband's digital camera. No new pics for awhile. sigh. Thanks for remembering my birthday! Congrats to Chrissy! Way to go girl! Would LOVE to see what colors you are getting. Keep in touch. God bless you and all your little critters.

  Hi again! Jasmine's Mom here.
Horses: Wow, you have some fantastic blood lines there. What a great gift! Love the jumper. I tried jumping Beauty but she didn't have the will for it. Too calm fortunately for me. I was only 16 and she was my first Arab. You should put a pic up here or send me one in an email. My photos would be all black and white since I'm half a century old. ") I'll look.
Adventures: Yea, we had one recently. My son loves this bird, Jasmine. He takes her to his room and they watch TV and play the video games. He falls asleep and as you can guess, he left the window open as we're putting in air conditioners here in Pa. Although Jasmine is clipped, guess I didn't do a good job. She flew out the window and stayed in a very tall tree for two days. Being on two feedings a day, I was VERY worried and spent most of the days calling and feeding her siblings outside hoping she'd come down to get the feedings. I had all but given up except for prayer. God love my son who has sooo much more faith that I. He kept telling me God would bring her back. I was sitting on the ground putting up a little barrel pond by the wild bird feeder. It was almost dusk and I feared the worst for baby Jasmine. Suddenly, a baby bird landed on my back. It was Jasmine! Cold and thin and dehydrated, she clung tightly to me. I walked cautiously into the house where my husband gently took her off my back and placed her into my shaking hands. Fortunately, my babies are well fed so she is recovering nicely. I put her back on several feedings a day and she's back to her usualy impish self. Everybody got wings trimmed again. This time the correct way. Should have followed the PIJAC book instead of my heart. All glory to God for keeping her safe and bringing her back to us. No more adventures and the air conditioning is in place.

  Hi there. Fuzzy's Mom here.
I used to raise and train Arabians. We had 3 daughters from the Tri state champion (24 years ago)Sulaman. I am partially disabled now and lots older so don't raise large animals. We do have one big black baby Bear lab dog who was my service dog for awhile but I'm better now. He will go with my son. My husband and I do have a business and I'll include it here so you can visit and get a feel for what we do. Its in its baby stages. We are vicitms of outsourcing. That is to say, the factory he worked at for YEARS up and moved to China. Leaving us without income and retirement options. We decided to start Denny's Aquascapes and Aviary with what was left of his money so that we could provide QUALITY hand TAMED and TRAINED Companion birds. We don't do quantity, just quality. We are still gathering a few carefully chosen birds but the Budgies are mine. ") I LOVE to hand feed the babies. You may be as picky as you wish. I have tons of references. I also have my Avian Specialist Certification from Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council. We raise Caiques, Sun Conures, Green Cheek Conures, Cockatiels, and Parrotlets-cause my husband fell in love with them. We have several aviaries that provide babies for us cause we just don't have the room to breed all of them. I'm only working with the smaller parrots for now. The big ones are too heavy for my constant cuddles. ") The website is still under construction and will be, eventually, mainly product with a few birds for carefully screened people. Many of our clients disabled also and would like that special bird to call their own. We have rescued several budgies, 3 Sun Conures, an Orange Wing Amazon and a couple of cockatiels. I have one Grandma who just loves Cockatiels so I gave a few to her free. She is raising twin grand daughters all by herself so she gets free food too. I have a deep sense of responsibility to my birds. No, I don't make a lot of money but somehow, I feel the Good Lord will provide. Hope I have answered all your questions. References available if you wish. LOVE These BUDGIES!!

  Fuzzy's Mom here!
Please keep us in mind for babies around Christmas. We are in Pennsylvania but have traveled as far as Tennessee to pick up birds. We're kind of apprehensive about shipping birds cause I don't fly either. Kind of dumb for a bird person ") Anyway, got into birds because my son went to live with his father. I used to be a beef and horse farmer until I became disabled. Had been missing the companionship of my animal friends. My husband, being a salt water enthusiast took me to the local pet shop where I met my first Cockatiel. It was love at first sight. Couldn't leave without him. We joined the local Bird Club to learn more and were hooked. Some of our birds were rescued, some purchased, some born here. Since the birds are so therapeutic for me and my pain management, we thought a business to provide that type of bird for others in my situation would be a way of giving back to our community. Thus...Denny's Aquascapes and Aviary was born. Now its a labor of love. All the birds are in my living room and kitchen, right with me. Most have become accustomed to having me around and call and scream for me. The Amazon will start when we get out of the car! He's like a guard dog looking out the window. He's a rescue but took to me right away. I just love Joe the Orange Wing Amazon. Will be introducing you to Joe and his mate as soon as I can find the good camera. We're looking for a BIG home to move our bird family into. So...what started out to be an empty nest has become a very very full house! Thank God for the blessing. It saved me. And, just so you know, my boy has come back home. He's really into the birds now and seems to have a gift with them. Even Joe who bites other guys seems to trust John. My husband, Denny thinks we are making investments for our retirement....snicker...yeah, right. YOU all know! ")

It would be great if you painted Wisdom! I could email you the large copy if you wanted to get more detail. Email me and let me know if you want the file. We've only had Wisdom since Saturday. We just fell in love with him and couldn't leave him at the store. I'm sure you can see why! So far Pepper isn't really warming up to Wisdom. We're taking it slow, though. We have lots of time so we're not going to push it. It's great that you're breeding budgies! It must be so adorable handfeeding and caring for them! It would be a dream for me to do something like that! If you do paint Wisdom, will you send me a picture of the painting? I'd love to see it! I'm off to vote for the rest of your flock!

  What got me into birds....
Ready for a long blog?! LOL! This is how it's the complete story of Bella the budgie. Okay, it was the 4 year anniversary of my dad's death and I had made plans with a friend to spend the morning with her so I wouldn't feel so sad. She knew how important it was to me and she would never have cancelled unless it was over the top, life threatening. Thank goodness it wasn't life threatening but her father in law had a minor accident that morning and needed her help. She had no choice but to cancel. I was really bummed! My son wanted to cheer me up and suggested we take a walk to the park the way we used to with my dad. I reluctantly agreed and off we went. About three quarters of the way to the park, I turned to Eli and said, "I feel opa with us." He looked at me wide eyed and said, "I was about to say the same thing!" We continued on and decided to sit on the bench when we got there. As soon as we sat down, we noticed a yellow bird. We thought it might be a gold finch and I said to Eli, "Opa loved birds. Maybe he sent that one for us to look at and cheer us up." A few minutes later, Eli decided to get up and get a closer look. Bella then hopped over and jumped on his shoe and began playing with his shoe laces. I couldn't believe it and went over to look. It was a budgie! At that time, we had no birds and I didn't know what to do. I strongly felt that she was a gift from my dad but I had no idea how to get this bird home or how to take care of it once I did. Just then, four boys came by on bikes and one was holding a box with new shoes in it. I asked them to stop and asked if it would be okay for us to have the box he was carrying. That boy had two budgies himself and was able to tell us that Bella was a girl and he helped us get her safely in the box. How convenient! We brought her home and then went immediately to the pet store for supplies. I was trying to decide between two cages. When my father was dying there seemed to always be these two songs playing on the radio. One was "Sour Girl" by STP and the other was "I Try" by Macy Gray. Just as I was looking at the second and larger cage, the Macy Gray song came on and I started to cry. The radio stations hadn't played that song in four years. Why were they playing it now? I knew dad was telling me that the second cage was the right one for his gift to us. He must've known that we would need a flight cage because the flock would grow. I don't know if you've heard that Macy Gray song but it goes, "I try to say goodbye but I choke. I try to walk away but I stumble. Though I try to hide it, it's clear, my world crumbles when you are not near." That's so how I felt when my dad died. I felt like such an idiot standing in the pet store crying. A sales person asked if I was okay and the whole story started pouring out and by the time I was done, half the customers were listening and tearing up, too. I still miss my dad so much. I was such a daddy's girl! I'm sure you can relate to the idea

Christina, Brampton, Ont., AE.
