Dandy here. Hey I found out the vet isn't so bad. When mom took me he told us that I was a fine specimen of an Australian tiel. That made me feel real good. Now if I could just find a real fine female tiel. But mom said that she's not heard of any for rescue.

Hey Larrikin! I'm not that fond of cheerios, although I'll usually eat them. My favorite is wheat toast or wheat cracker (especially with peanut butter!) Although whenever I'm hanging by one leg, it's because I've slipped/fallen from the perch and if she sees me she is trained to come and assist me! I am getting used to being female, it was just kinda a shock after all these years! Me and Miracle will just be girlfriends now, cuz she knows for sure that she's female. Hey Larrikin! So you have your mom pretty well trained now, huh? That's cool, how did you manage that? A lot of things have gone on with me since I talked to you last. I went to the vet and found out that I had a bacterial infection so had to take meds for a week. That cleared up and then the results of my DNA test came back as FEMALE! And here I had a girlfriend here on BC. Congrats on the steping up and not being afraid of hands so much now. Sometimes Gus likes to examine moms hands too and mom either jiggles her hand some to distract him or make him step up on another hand to get him occupied on something else and that helps too.Today was a very pretty day and got to almost 80 …wooo hooo summer is here mom says! Mom got some seeds and is trying sprout them for us so not sure what we will get out them yet. We are suppose to get some rain late this afternoon and tomorrow too and of course then it will cool off too. Some of you gave mom good suggestions and places to visit and want to tell you thanks so much for all your help. Mom looked at them online and sure did help her a lot. Tomorrow mom is going scrapbooking with some friends for a while but dad will be home so we wont be alone. Shake a feather and come visit us anytime my friend…. We love your company. Hi Larrikin. Ohhhh. I hate the vet. Me and George just went for our check ups a lil over a month ago. Mom had them run our blood werk too. Don't know what she was thinking. It hurt!! Bella gets to go next month. Mom just got her March 16 and hasn't had time to get her to the vet. The closest avian vet is over an hours away. Well, heres a vote for ya.
