We had a male B&G Rainbow, a rescue who was brought to us, who acted like he was lonesome around everyone else. Rainbow was cage bound and hand shy and I knew that another B&G would bring him out of it from past experiance. We searched for just the right female to keep who was unusually tame and raised with cockatoos as well as other macaws and after a year we found Navajo. She is outgoing and not afraid of him. If they chose to have babies that is fine, if not that is ok to, as he is learning to be socable from her. And now I have 2 pretty talkative B&Gs in the flock..

Active within 143 Days Hi! My name is Navajo I am a Blue-and-Gold Macaw from Brooksville, FL. Ring Ring because I look like a ring my Mom wears 12 years old F Blue-and-Gold Macaw PEANUTS. I'll kiss a shoe for a peanut. I like to sit on Sky Walkers cage and watch her and Scrappy eat or play or sometimes I like to sit in Rainbows, side of our cage so he cant get his food or water until Mom tells me to leave Rainbow alone. I hate it when Mom wont pet me EVERYTIME she walks by my cage with another bird in her hand. Rainbow ignoring me. I get mad when Momma puts me in my cage so I snap at my honey,Rainbow She is nice to me and pets me but she wont let me pick on Rainbow or the other birds. She gives me extra treats for being a good girl and she is teaching me about going outside to play even tho I get a little scared and I hate my harness. I like to bug Rainbow so he will notice me and feed me but he wont so I get mad and chase him or I throw his food and wont let him eat mine.. Me first. Me first Its MY turn again..
