Hello from the Konawa Oklahoma Gang
Hey Everybirdie, I guess love is in the air. Since the BC won't let mom make avitar's for any of our bird's but Patrick, we can't go to the Aviary. But, Patrick put his LIMERICK OF THE DAY under his Motto this morning and added the featured Birds to it so you can click on their Avitar and go right to their page.. He and Ruby Sue are enjoying a virtual romance in the aviary. Maximillian is in there with the featured couple...WHO is his girl? HE WON'T TELL. Maybe he doesn't know yet..GIRL'S SOUNDS LIKE THIS HANDSOME HUNK IS AVAILABLE! Check him out. If I wasn't so much in love with Tiki....well, Tiki is the best...(sigh) .......Popcorn..I smell Popcorn...Peanuts and Cracker Jacks...I have to go check on the baseball players....yippee. Crystal's age
Sorry I originally posted Crystal's age as 6. My wife informed me when I showed her this blog that Crystal is actually 14 years old. We got her as a rescue bird and she is making great progress in socializing. She was initially a biter of great prowess. She would not only nip, she would bit and hang on ... ouch! It seems that her previous owners had kids who would taunt her and so she became very protective of her cage and would bite, HARD, at the least provocation. Now, she likes to have her head scratched, and although she remains protective of her cage, she does like to come out and kick it with the rest of us. Normally, I open her cage and she climbs up on top and happily surveys the world around her. When I take Topper out and carry him around, she will occasionally get a little bit jealous and want to come into the living room with us. She is hard to pick up from atop her cage, but when she decides she wants to socialize, she will flutter down to the floor and then we can pick her up and hold her. She is doing this more and more lately, and she isn't so quick to bite. I'm really encouraged and I think she is progressing nicely.Come visit me, Topper & Crystal.

Hi New friend, Cotton Ball here for the Oklahoma Gang. We bring a vote and some news to your nest. This is a lovely day. Hope you are having a great time... My fibling St.Patrick always puts TODAYS LIMERICK under his motto on his page. Each day a different Bird is featured. The BC LOVE BIRD BASEBALL TEAM is trying to form.. so far several birds have contacted our fiblings Slate and Mica: check out their page and Silly Lilly's page for info. GiGi (lovebird) lost her mate Mello Yello to the Rainbow bridge yesterday.. He was also Silly Lilly's twin. They are so sad. The Love Birds will dedicate their first game to the memory of MELLO YELLO Slate told me.. There is a BC PARROTS LEAGUE Baseball game soon the Senegal vs. the Cockatoos. The date has not been announced.. Hope you will join in the fun. Come visit us sooon....We love votes and blogs and we will vote for you too.
