 My wife works for a large pet supply retailer. She went on a training class last year to learn how to hand feed baby birds. After the training, the company sent her back to the store with three conures, a Sun, Jenday, and a Green Cheek. I helped her with the birds like getting them from the cages, cleaning them when she was done and weighing them. Well, I built a fun and loving relationship with them. The Green Cheek and Sun were sold pretty quick. After a year the Jenday was still there. I wanted to buy him, but I couldn't afford it, even with my wife's discount. He was very happy though. He had lots of friends at the pet store. I went in to play with him almost every day. I knew that one day he might not be there anymore, but I couldn't help it. I just fell in love with him. Well, the pet store is down sizing their birds and was told to adopt him out. The manager called my wife in and gave the bird to to her to bring home to me for adoption. It was one of the happiest days for me. Sputnik is very, very happy in his new home.. |

It got really cold last night and we had some of that 4 letter word flying around this morning. It looks like the flowers are still ok so that is good. The skin granddaughter told her mom this morning it was snowing and the skin daughter said it must the flowers off the tree and the granddaughter replied ”Nope mom cause when it hits the ground it turns to water hihihi. Gosh we might have to get the winter clothes out again. Hope you had a great day at your house and come visit us anytime you can…we love your company. Welcome to Bird Channel. Thought I'd fly by to say hi
to another flock member!! I have several sisters and
brothers and I have one that is also a sun conure,
currently 5 months old, not sure if a brother or sister,
but she/he is handicapped and mommy is taking her to
see what can be done about it. She arrived about a month ago, as mommy takes in rescues from time to time
and adds them to our flock. A birdy in need, mommy
proceeds, so we all have a great home, hope you do to,

Yes the site is very nice and lots to do here too.Mom got the winter coat out again today and mumbled” where is that warm weather we had a week ago?” Dad had to have the pickup inspected today so mom let Gus ride over to take dad and then when it was time to pick it up he rode with mom again. He was busy watching things and only let out a few brawks on the way back at the end. Mom got some more good fruit today so everyone was happy. Gus eats the fruit and Chi chi loves playing in the bags hihihi. Hey don’t be shy and come visit us anytime my friend…we love your company.
