 She was a Christmas present. She was a non-handfed lovebird, meant to be the mate of my first bird, Peaches. She didn't get along with him well (she was too mean, shhh). SO we got Kiwi to go with Pickles. That didn't work either because they were both girls. So Kiwi went with Peaches, and I got Kumquat to go with Pickles. Finally a good match. She has had a few clutches of babies and is now retired.. |

Hey, Hey, It's almost My Favorite Day..St. Patrick here, It is almost noon here. Dad has Mom and Skin Sis putting up a gazebo...Mom is huffy,cause the wind is puffy. She thinks it is not wise to put it up with March winds and tornado season upon us. hehe She lost.... I guess it is time for the LIMERICK OF THE DAY:......... ............. ....................... While shopping for a pet Macaw,....... ............. ............. .............. They ran across this jabber-jaw. ............. ............. .................. Hi BBFFs, I am shocked. Your sweet honor has Mommy in tears. She always tells us to do our best to love others and we will recieve our rewards as God sees fit. BUT,I was thinkin' my wise friend Beavis would be BOTW. Patrick here, Strong winds have everybirdie running wild today. Dad let the puppies out and they ran like the wind...Mommy found them and made everything OK. It is trash day. The wind blew the lids off the cans....Mom raced down the street after them. After the sanitation men emptied the cans, the cans blew down the street. You guessed it... Mom is on the run again...The Lovies are on the run indoors...Dad chased them down the hall.. hehe Our neighbor lost a tree limb.. and the power keeps flashing because power lines are bouncing together. The sirens keep going off for the fire dept. to fight grass fires.....Whew....WE ARE SAFE IN OUR CAGES MUNCHING ON SNACKS AND WATCHING ALL THE COMMOTION OUT OUR WINDOWS...AIN'T LIFE GRAND? Hi from Fortune, St. Patrick and Lonnie
Patrick here, I'm being good. The Lovies, Slate and Mica, won't let me sit on top of their cage, they nip at my toes. Then I moved to the top of the aquarium now that silly Mica, is trying to move in on my territory there. Daddy put him back in the cage. We were having words.....so to speak. At least I didn't try to nip him. hehe LOCK DOWN for MICA. hehe....My BC friend, Talker, the Cockateil's, baby is so cute. We love baby teils. We have six teil eggs in the nest box with Mrs. Skeeter and her husband Wishbone. Wishbone is a good daddy too. He seems to love caring for the babies more than Skeeter does. They are so funny. They should start hatching soon. Our Zebra baby needs a name that is not gender specific. Any Ideas? It is all white. They mature faster than teils do. It's new pic is on my (Patrick's) page. Pickles, Peaches, Kiwi, Kumquat . . . Sounds like a delicious little family! Pickles, you look so much like my little Simon, who was adopted out several years ago. I am so happy you were able to have some babies during your lifetime. We haven't had any "little" luvbirds because all of mine are rescues and they focus on rehabilitation a lot.
