Attention all you fabulous Raiders, sorry about the miscue yesterday, today I made dad put his glasses on to read the the schedule, good help is so hard to find! Today we battle the Mighty Macaws, but the only thing mighty about them is their bad breath, and they are mighty ugly as well, LOL! It will however take a total team effort to beat them, and they will be hungry for a win also! For those of you that need a ride to the game, let me or Sugar know, I will pick up Maxie and Pedro! Don't forget to cheer, Amando's brother Casey is the only cheer Zon I have recruited so far! Let's give it our best effort, and have fun out there, stay focused, play hard and victory will be ours...

Hello Ethyl!
Hows' things with you and Fred? Had an interesting spring? Is it actually FEELING like spring at your place yet? It sure took its sweet time showing up here. I've finally been able to spend some quality time outdoors in the last couple of weeks. Today was a washout though because of the wind. I'm just not all that into fighting to stay on a swinging perch when the wind's trying it's best to knock me off. One slip and I'd be plastered up against the side panels.

With our first game of the season about to take place TOMORROW, I'm pumped and ready to do this, AMAZON-style. See you at the stadium—

Hi Ethyl, we got practice today-coach Jenny Lynn
...today I am calling our last pre-season practice and workout before opening day, and it will be at Kevlar Field! We are a good team, but there are a lot of good teams this year, and the only way we can get a step up on them, is to practice hard! We all need it, myself included! There will be Gator Ade and high energy snacks in our dugout! Hope to see you all there...

I hope all is well at your nest! It was great seeing you at the practice yesterday. I am so out of shape!! I know it's from too many corn bread muffins, but they are so very good!
Nothing exciting going on with me. Mom is doing some cleaning today and I'm just going to supervise while I snack and play with toys! Not very exciting but at least I get to hang out with mom!

Alfie, Sugar, and I are calling a Raider's light work out and practice at the BB field, for Thursday and Friday, between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM! We'll run some laps, do some jumping jacks, squats, and sit-ups, and other light stretching exercises and when you are warmed up, find somebody to play catch with! Although this is an informal practice session, I want you all to take it seriously, I want to be able to count on you during long grueling games! Please come join us if you can make it...BRING YOUR GLOVES...

...of you veteran ball players on our fabulous Raiders team! With one or both of you, and a commitment from Casey, that will fill our roster for the season! Aunt Eva makes the rules and one of her preliminary rules was that two birds from the same flock can not participate on the same team! I can whip Jake, but she scares me, and my dad said I cannot cuss at her this year! As far as showing up, at least you are out front with your honesty, and I admire that, some say they will be there and we don't see them all year, shoot, I can't be there for all games! Fortunately, I have my hunky boy friend Alfie, as my asst coach and my best friend Sugar to pick up the slack! With the approval of all the team players, I want to dedicate this season to Angel Asha, and our beloved Angel Mozart! I hope the day is going great! I wanted to get around to say hello to everybird yesterday but the squawk-a-tiels had other plans! Nasty things! I suppose it's important for the BC to get stuff done so the site keeps running! It would be awful not to be able to come by and say hello.
We are planning a day of cleaning so I'll be supervising! We made an apple pie yesterday so I got a taste of that! It is yummy! I really do love apples.
We are going to get some cooking done tomorrow since mom has to go back to work tomorrow night. It's only for 2 days and then it will be the weekend again. She can handle it.
Enjoy the day! I hope it's a fabulous one! Mom is going by the library later so I'll have some new books to read!! That is always lots of fun!!

Today I will mention Chi Chi's campaign. We had so MUCH fun. Chi Chi must be related to Maxie the Wonderbird. She danced, and danced, and danced all month. She gave out feather boas one day. She danced the Can-Can for each bird for their votes. Another day she handed out her much admired feathers for each vote. Another day she gave us garters from right off her lovely legs, plus DRINKS. Miss Chi Chi mentioned to me that she used her boing to practice dancing. She danced so much, she wore out her dancing shoes. While purchasing new ones, she left word that anybird who voted for her should receive a pair also. One night we could dance with her stuffed lion, I think he was dry after his trip into the water bowl. Then she had us do the 'Scoot Boot Boogie'. We had drinks in the saloon since it was the month of the Western Milonga. Pirate King Sam, who was then a 'cow'-bird, was being chased by the marshalls because he was accused of a crime he did NOT commit. It was fun watching how he'd disguise himself. In the meantime, Jenny Lynn collected a gang to break her Alfie out of jail. There was a lot happening at that Milonga.
With all the dancing, of course a dance studio was constructed in the castle.
