 Walking through the San Jose Bird Mart. My dad wanted a Sun Conure, I was perfect in 2 ways: I was beautiful, and the price was right. Little did my dad how bad it was to buy from such a place. But, I am a healthy bird now. Thanks to my dad changing my diet and taking me to the Vet.. |

Hi Slash, we're glad you liked our Bird Talk piece.
Did you hear we were named BOTW? We can't believe it. We're so honored. And thanks to you and all of our friends on the BC who made it possible. We'll be sitting in our window all week, rain or shine, yelling at all the Brooklyn birds to tell them who are the Bosses - err, we mean Birds of the Week.
Unfortunately, the timing isn't great for us, since our mom is getting ready for surgery on Wednesday and has a bunch of stuff to do today and tomorrow -- plus her tendonitis is acting up again, making it really hard for us to work on the computer. So we'll have to say goodbye for now, but we expect to be back around the middle to the end of July (hopefully sooner), so please don't forget us.
We hope when we get back you'll visit us again. In the meantime, here's a vote. We hope it helps you a bit make next BOTW, Woof & MeowCome visit me, Woof and Meow.

welcome to the BC. I think sun conures are beautiful birds. My skin auntin Texas has 4 conures [all are a different species] as well as 2 budgies and an African Grey. But mom remembers that it was the sun cinure that almost pierced her eardrum. She call him the BEEP-BEEP bird....the "shrill Beep-Beep bird" tee-hee. And your name is a riot. Anyway , just wanted to welcome you and leave a vote 4 U. Maybe I can offer my claw in friendship and I will be safe [unlike those wooden sticks]

Kiwi likes to take off moms fingers if she tries to get him out of his cage, but goes eagerly to dad.
Aramina wants everyone to have a towel on their had before getting her out.
Sly will take a chunk out of dad but loves to go to mom.

hey there handsome bird how are you doing? I don't like to come out of my cage either but like you once I'm out I love it. Mom usually will just stick her hand in my cage and say step up but it takes awhile for me to do it casue I do it on my own terms not her's hehehe. I wonder if your name has anything to do with what you do to fingers lol. One of my favorite games is to toss things out of my green pot to get to the treat on the bottom(dried papayas are my favorite). Mom keeps trying to get me to eat new foods, I'll taste them but then spew them everywhere. If it's not crunchy (like toast or pellets) I have a hard time. Lately I've been going back for stawberrys but mom get's tired of wiping up the red stuff that gets flung everywhere in between when I shake my head, ewww, soft, hmm, good, eww soft, repeat. lol.
