Scaring Mom
Hey Riki, I scared mom yesterday. I got out of my cage through my water bowl opening. I unlatched it and out I came the dogs were in and mom had a fit. I was just having a ball. I flew down on her chair before she knew I was out. Daddy had to get the dogs out of the room before mom could get me back in my cage. She told me to stop trying to be an escape artist! She loves me doesn't want me flying around and getting into stuff while she not looking. I just love it when I scare her. Heres a vote for you. Just had to tell you about my latest adventure. It has been cold here too. It snowed here for the first time in 8 years Friday a week ago. We are expecting 1 to 3 inches again tommorrow. The dogs are loving it here too. Mom can't seem to keep them inside and dry. The kids where mom works are hoping it snows like last time and they get out of school, but mom says no-no. That just means another day for school to be made up at the end of the year. Mom doesn't want to have to go to school until June. Heres a vote for you. You are a beautiful African Grey. Hide and seek is so much fun but it sure scares our owners! I just stay on the playgym by the window or on top of the cage. Daddy gets panicky real fast if he leaves the room and doesn't see me right away when he comes back. I don't think that feeling of losing Lucy will ever go away. I met Sedona a couple days ago, she is a real sweetheart. I hope I can spend more time with her together, of course Daddy has to be there to keep an eye on us. Thank you for your vote. Your are so lucky to get a young grey that likes to be held. My grey is still getting close to me. He doesn't like to be held, but he loves to talk. I was very sick not too long a go, I only got out of bed to feed my birds. I notice that everytime I open my eyes they were both sitting and watching my instead of playing with their toys or eat. Try to play with your with nail cutting tools. I did that and now I no longer stress them out while cutting their nails. Both of them sit in my lap while I cut their nails. You don't live too far from me, if there is anything to I can do to help you please let me know. I will also let you know.Come visit me, Oliver & Lala.

Flight
After growing back several wing feathers per wing, Riki found a whole new world open to her: mostly one of following anyone who left the room by flying after them. This led to her not being able to sit still, which led to me having to clip her wings. She was very confused, but all in all seems to be a much more well behaved birdy now.Come visit me, Riki.

Look who's talking!
I'm saying a few words and phrases now! I can even relate some of them with their meanings. I'll say "Hello" when someone comes in the room. It's a little new to me, but I'm also working on "How are you?" And a lot of times if you hear me say "Have to poop?" it's quickly followed by my pooping... hopefully not on the carpet!Come visit me, Riki.
