It's September already! Can you believe it? Soon it'll be cold and snowy outside and those dogs will want to spend as little time as possible outdoors which means they'll be lurking around your cage even more. Just this morning the rat terrier here climbed up into my cage and ate the scrambled eggs I was dropping all over the place. Oh well, it had mom thinking I was doing a good job of eating my breakfast. Hope all is well in your stretch of the jungle there in IN. What's up in Indiana today? I've got cloud cover with a little rain spittin' here and there; looks like a good day for perching my tail feathers on the BC! That dog been in your cage lately? I've got something new in mine; ants. Yup, tiny little red ants. Man, those characters are an organized bunch, hustling along in their two way traffic lanes. The bottom of my cage has never been cleaner! Why, there's not a crumb to be found down there, those ants carry 'em off so fast! Know what? Keeps the dogs out... there's nothing to lick up! Actually, that's not true... I drop some pretty big chunks of food. If they were carried off it'd mean those ants are pretty darn big! Yikes!! I've fixed those dogs from coming INTO my cage; I had mom remove a dish holder from one of the little swinging doors so that I could use that as my escape route. So nice to hear from you. Bet you're glad to have your mom back home. Mine went away not too long ago and let me tell you, it was the longest two weeks of the year so far. I don't get out of my cage the whole time she's away 'cause nobody wants to be responsible if something should happen to me. So I sit and wait. And wait. And wait. I see you've met my wonderful friends Coco and Romeo. They're so awesome! George and his flock are also great friends. Max, the Wonderbird, she's cool. I know quite a few of those who have visited with you but I see there are still lots of others I've not met. Boy, if I could get mom to give up all the other stuff she does around this house I could meet EVERY birdie on the BC!! I'd wear the keyboard out for sure! Elizabeth! So nice of you to drop in and introduce yourself. As I expected from a Grey, you're Beautiful!! I just love your pose in your main pic! I do that one myself, particularly when mom's telling me about some senseless 'no-no'... I scratch my head to give her the idea I don't quite understand! That way, when I chunk another corner out of the kitchen cabinet door and put another hole in the shoulder of her shirt I can blame it not ignorance! Oh, ok, it doesn't work but it was worth a try. Had me a good chuckle at your pet peeve; the dog IN your cage. Blast, our dogs are thinkin' a like too. I've got one here who if she finds my big door open she just assumes the welcome mat is out and she can come on in. Wrong-O. A pinch to the short little tail sends her on her merry way~ Ha! Well, Ms. Elizabeth, I'm so glad you stopped by. I'd love to be friends. Hi Elizabeth, Thanks for visiting my site. It is so nice to meet new friends and yes I am a feather plucker or rather a feather shredder. The vet says that is better because I don't distroy the follicals or what ever they are called. I like to play with something by putting things on top of my wing and let it fall down and catch it and will use pellets or small toys or will cut off a peace of feather and pluck it off and play with it so mom tries to keep small pellets there all the time. I still like to do my feathers however and get told off when I do. But I sneak anyway. I have picked off my feathers from being upset before my present mom and dad got me because of family problems upsetting me in my old homes. I had a couple of bad situations and am still working out those problems but I am doing better. If you have that problem of picking feathers I'll try to help you with it and have gotten a lot of suggestions from bird channel friends who have a similar problem. Please come visit me again.
