 My husband always wanted an Amazon and we were surprised to find that Ringo and Cookie (Morgy's birdie parents) had 3 babies. He was the cutest and busiest baby bird in the clutch. We fell in love with him immediately. We had to wait a couple of weeks before we brought him home. When we finally did, we learned all about handfeeding and weaning. He was our little green baby with huge feet. Now he has grown into those feet though.. |

Hi ya Morgan~
Stopping by to say hello and to see how everything is going.
Nothing much exciting to report from here. Just the usual stuff going on.
Mom's been busy at work. She works at a store and they are finally wrapping up back to school! Mom hates back to school! They already have an aisle of halloween decor up and the Christmas lights go out on Friday! Holidays just keep moving along!

We can understand what your Mom is going through! My Mom did that too when my fisters went to Rainbow Bridge,always automatically went to clean the cage and make sure the water dishes were filled and the food ready etc. It does get better with time,but you never,ever forget. Even my cousin Trixie,who passed several short weeks ago,it's only now that my Nana can even say her name without crying or falling appart!
Just know that we are always here for you and your flock and family! Give your Momma a big hug for us all and one from my Mom too! You are all in our thoughts and prayers everyday! If you or your Momma need to talk or need anything just call on us anytime at all!

We here send you our deepest condolences on your sweet baby Merlin! My Mom can't stop crying since she read the news you sent! We have been praying non stop for Merlin and hoping for a miracle. Now that precious baby will be flying free with my cousin Trixie and my fister Gabbie and he will suffer no more pain! I know how hard this is going to be for your poor Momma who loves you all so much and did everything she could for Merlin! Merlin knew how much he was cherished and loved and now he will be looking out for you on Rainbow Bridge! He couldn't have had a better Momma in the world! Rio will miss him terribly too,but with the rest of you around him,he will be alright in the end! He'll have all of you love to pull him through this sad time! Mom is going to church again on Saturday and will put Merlin's name in our special intentions book again so everyone can say some prayers for him! Mom will try to stop by Nana's church when she's out tomorrow and say some prayers for Merlin and all of your Flock and Family! Please tell your Momma to talk to my Mom anytime she needs a shoulder to cry on! My Mom wishes she could give her a warm hug and to be there for her in birdson,but she will be here whenever she needs her! And we will all be here for all of you no matter what! We're glad you had a nice 4th. We did too. We were in our cages, and the fireworks were far enough away that we couldn't really hear them. The hoomans had a nice picnic in the park and watched fireworks there.
It's a shame the vet isn't available until Monday. We sure hope Merlin is doing better!

We had a quiet fourth of July as Dad had to work the parade and the fireworks so he was gone all day till after midnight! We had lots of Mom time and she took us all out on the deck to be in the sun and gave us all a shower! Then at night she brought us into the tv room and we got to watch the fireworks from Boston Esplanade and then we saw the ones from New York!
I'm so glad to hear that Jade is doing better and that she is eating well! My Mom has to do the same thing with me dremmel down both my upper beak and the lower beak every week or two so I can eat! Mom is feeding me finch pellets also! but I like to try and eat the tiel pellets sometimes! We get fresh bean mix every morning and some of what Mom eats for dinner,veggies, rice,pasta etc!
Mom is still trying to get the info on Ruby to see if she can find anything different that might have been missed! How is she doing?
It's been so hot here lately and Mom has been trying to get us all out on the deck when she can!
Those new toys sound really good! I sure do think you deserve to have something! And your Momma does too for all the love and hard work she is giving to you all! She is the sweetest thing ever to help out all the doves and animals that need it and she does it all and take care of you and your fiblings too! Give her a big hug for me!
As soon as Mom gets some info on Ruby together she will let you know what she found!
You have to tell me all about the new toys you get! We just got our first check from our show in Rhode Island and Mom is going to let us pick out something with that!

Another baby dove? How cute! It's great that your mom is willing to nurse them back to health. Has she made a new appointment for Merlin? We're sorry to hear he's still sleepy a lot and doesn't seem improved. We sincerely hope and pray that he does start getting noticeably better soon.

My Mom is still looking up the info for Merlin so she didn't forget him! She just wants to make sure everything you sent us matches the diagnoses from the book Mom has! We keep praying for Merlin and he is never far from our thoughts and prayers! Mom had to go out again today and so she hardly had any time at all to read the avian medical book but she is going to have a lot more time tomorrow after she gets Dad off to work!
Your Mom is so sweet to take in all those doves and other animals! She is a sweet,loving caring Mom! You give her a big hug for me!
And she is even taking care of Granny's fids too! She does deserve to get an award for caring the way she does!
Please tell Merlin how much we all love him and to hang in there and keep strong for us! Please let me know if your Mom takes him back to the vet and what the vet says!

Oh, we do hope the baby dove with the hurt legs gets better soon!
We're very glad to hear that Merlin is eating and putting some weight back on. That means his body is able to derive some nutrition out of the food he eats, which it can't do when the diabetes is out of control. We do hope he starts getting more energy and that you can see a big improvement soon!

This is my second try at trying to talk to you because of BC sqwaking me again!
Mom is taking all the symptoms that you gave and she is going to see if there is something that got overlooked or missed in her avian medical manuel for Merlin! We all love you and can only imagine just what your poor Mom is going through! You tell Merlin that we love him and to keep strong! It is so good to know that Merlin is putting on some of those precious grams he so needs and that he is eating even if it is just a little at a time!
Your Mom must be a special lady to be able to take in all those poor doves who are getting hurt! She is so sweet and somehow someway Merlin will pull through this! My Mom is doing fine now,and we finally got back on the BC after three days of getting the sqwak pages and the error pages! I was so worried about Merlin and had no way of contacting anyone how he was doing with his new meds! Morgan, he is always in our thoughts and prayers everyday! I only wish that we could do something to help!
It sure sounds like your Momma is busy with the baby doves and Edward the snake and the dogs! It must be hard on you too to have to go through all this and still see no improvement with Merlin. I can't understand why the vets can't find the reason why he's so sick! My Mom is trying to research in her vet books the symtoms of what Merlin has so she might be able to give your Momma some idea of what could be wrong! The vet did that to my fister Gabbie and now she's gone! My Mom and I don't want that to happen to another baby! If you can have your Momma send my Mom the symptoms of what Merlin has so she can look it up and see if she can find some kind of an answer for what Merlin has! My Mom can't stand to see another fid have to wait to be diagnosed properly! We all love you Morgan and we will do anything to help if we can!

We are so happy that Merlin is getting treated, but wish you could see some improvement. It must be a little scary for you mom to not see him getting any better. But he could be getting better on the inside, and it just takes awhile for the symptoms to settle down.
The little baby dove sounds so cute! Scion & Picabo's parronts raised some orphan doves this spring, and when they released them, they didn't want to leave!
Our mom has been feeling under the weather for several days now. We hope she feels better soon because it's cutting into our OUT time!

We am so happy to hear that Merlin will get his meds by tomorrow and our thoughts and prayers for him are stronger than ever! Mom hears lots of good things about the Milk Thistle and we hope that it will work wonders on Merlin to get his health and strenght back to fight this battle he's in! We had our first show in Rhode Island yesterday and there were lots of kids and parronts there who were surprised at all the things we could do! It was a long ride and we were really tired and hungry by the time we got home last night!

I wish that they would hurry up and get those meds made up for Merlin right away! Mom gets so angry with these vets when they take too long and time is of the essence for the poor fid that is in need of the meds immediately! Merlin has not stopped being in our thoughts and prayers every day and every night, we all here say a special prayer just for him to get well and to beat this diabetes! We love him so much and you and your family and are hanging tight that our prayers will be answered! Merlin,please keep fighting and don't ever give up, you have so many things to live for and we all need you here in our lives! I only wish they could put a rush on those meds so Merlin can get a good start and a helping wing at fighting this battle! Don't worry we all here, Mom included won't give up on Merlin and our prayers are as strong as ever for him!
That must have been so scary all that water getting into the house and the roof leaking must have been so frustrating for you! Mom and I have been watching the news and this weather is so crazy all across the country. We only wish we could share some of our nice sunshine we've been getting lately with you! We are supposed to get rain on Wednesday and Thursday again!
We have our first show of the season on Saturday in Rhode Island and we are going to dedicate it to Merlin! It will be bittersweet for us as our group of four fids have just dwindled down to just me and Kallie as we just lost our cousin Trixie and our fister Gabbie crossed to Rainbow Bridge last October!
Please let us know how Merlin is coming along and you are being so good not to stress your Mom out while Merlin is not feeling well! I know that must be so hard to do, but it's helping your Mom to cope better when she doesn't have to worry about any thing else!

We are so sad about Merlin and will be saying prayers for him. Mom went to see the grand kids a bit today. When she came home I was wanting her attention so she took me for a stroller ride down the back street. Skin brother called while we were gone and when mom told him where we were he laughed at mom taking me in the stroller for a ride. I am very sorry to hear about Merlin. I will be here if you need a friend any time and in any way. My Momma says all I can do is pray for both Merlin and your Momma.

I am so sorry to hear that Merlin has diabetes! I only wish that there was something we could do to help and Mom understands how your Mom is feeling right now! Please give her a warm hug and a kiss from all of us here and know that Merlin is always in our thoughts and prayers! Hopefully if he takes the meds they will do something to turn things around for him for the better! I am so upset to hear about Merlin not feeling well! I can't bear to lose another beautiful fid! We all here will be praying for him and he will always be in our thoughts and prayers til he gets well! Please let me know how he's doing and what the vet says! Your poor Mom first Jade gets hurt and now this with Merlin! Tell Merlin to keep strong and to keep fighting, he has everybirdie and parront fighting for him! Dad saw a pretty wild red bird down on the trail today when he was cutting grass up by the old mines. He said its color was brighter then a male cardinals and had marks on its wings like the red winged black birds have but they were black instead of red. Thanks for stopping by my page the other day. It was great hearing about the hatchday party your flock celebrated a few days ago & I was telling your flockmate Griffin I wish I was there!
