I saw him at a bird fair and he was so cute. He was the youngest bird I ever adopted (at 4 weeks old). I didn't intend to purchase another bird that day but he melted my heart. Now he is all grown up and still a sweetheart. He talks to me in his little sweet voice and is always so concerned about everyone's well being. He constantly asks "You ok?", "What's the matter?", and "I'm sorry". He is such a cutie!. |

Hi Griffin DAY 14 November 14th Hello Sky here. I must say I made a big "OOPS!" when I said today we would finish looking at the Gabriel Foundation. Tomorrow, Nov 15th we will continue with the GF. Today, we are turning our attention to another " SPOTLIGHT ON CARING" This week we are visiting with our very own DIXIE & KALLIE, and their Mom Rose and Grandma Carmela. This amazing flockily travel to various public gatherings where they educate, and entertain their audiences in the care of all birds. SKY: Dixie, as flock spokes bird, I would like to ask you, when and how you first became involved in training and educating the public? DIXIE; About 13 years ago we were watching a video by renowned trainer Tanni Robar as she showed her parrots doing various tricks, such as fetching, playing basket ball, and bowling. One of the birds was a Green Cheek Conure, just like me. Mom Rose thought that if those birds in the video could do it, so could we. Mom and Grandma Carmela began training four of their Conures and held private shows for family and friends. Everyone thought they should take the "act" to visit school children, nursing homes, when they did everyone was amazed. They kept asking them to return. SKY; How did these shows turn into an educational opportunity? DIXIE; As Mom and Grandma perfected their shows, Gramda Carmela would speak about where each species came from, what they ate, their care and feeding, and what to expect when owning a parrot. SKY; Tell us some of the places you have performed at? DIXIE; The birds have performed for the STATE HOUSE in Rhode Island, Elementary, middle schools, and in Senior Centers. We have also performed at Garden and Bird clubs, birthday parties, Resturants, Churches, just to name a few. SKY; What one message do you want the audiences to hear? DIXIE; How special we birds are, that we are created by God to enjoy, that we have feelings and love to give for a long, long time. We tell everyone that comes to see us perform that we will be around for a long time, and we try to teach children and adults the proper care of a feathered friend. We let them know some of us birds are like 5 year old and need trust and love in their lives. SKY; Do you speak about abused birds at your performances? DIXIE, yes. we talk about Brenna and Beau. When they were both alive they went to the shows too to show people what abuse does to a bird. We emphasize that birds are not impulse buys, something you play with, then when you get tired of it, you push it aside and forget it. Having a parrot is like having a child who never grows up. SKY; What important point do you want to get across to the audience? DIXIE; If you have a bird, love it like it's your child! Sky; thank you Dixie, I am sure your words will encourage others to speak out on proper bird care. with my heart filled with love, SKYCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin November 13th Hi Every birdie, Sky here with a two part series on THE GABRIEL FOUNDATION. The Gabriel Foundation (GF)was founded by Julie Murad, just outside the beautiful city of Aspen, Colorado. Julie, who has been involved with birds for over 40 years saw a desperate need for a Sanctuary that would take in homeless, unwanted birds. The GF is a non-profit bird Rescue and Rehabilitation organization whose primary mission is to provide a complete physical, mental and environmentally secure place for all parrots, whether permit residents or those available for adoption. Their goal is to bring education to the public. They strive to have proper legal documentation, open financial reports, and extensive support services to adoptive owners. To ensure the birds happiness in their new home, the GF provides constant post-adoption follow-ups. They also provide the bird community with in-depth, reliable educational material and resources. Julie Murad is quoted as saying, ``Our mission is to raise awareness to the correct, ethical care and respect deserving of all birds. We work to bring acceptance that birds are NOT placed on this Earth for man to dominate or ``OWN` but to lovingly and respectfully co-exist.`` ``they, they birds can not speak for themselves. It is the GF`s objective to be that voice. Daily we are bombarded by persons wishing to ``get rid of their birds.`` from all over the country. Education will, we hope, stop this ``disposable`` mentality people have. We work to educate people, to show them them that birds are living, loving, emotional beings, that deserve to live their lives well cared for and loved. Some parrots live 60-80 years." The Gabriel Foundation is an part of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, whose task is to develop a standard by which all birds must be cared for regardless where they live; i.e. rescues, zoos, private homes, pet stores etc. They are also partnered with the World Parrot Welfare Alliance, ( WPWA) working to develop and promote a greater awareness of the needs of parrots in captivity. Currently the GF is home to 500 Psittacine birds, many of which are awaiting adoption. To learn about these wonderful adoptable friends check out PET FINDER.com/GabrielFoundation. For more information about the Gabriel Foundation, and how you might help go to thegabrielfoundation.org Thank-you all for the positive-fed back. Tomorrow we shall meet one resident that found happiness at the Gabriel Foundation. with my heart filled with love, SKY--224183Come visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin, Monday is here again.. November 12th A happy Monday to all my friends. This is SKY here. Today we shall take a closer look at the TAMBOPATO MACAW PROJECT. Some of you enjoyed the adventure on Friday to this location and the awesome photos of hundreds of wild Parrots and Macaws. These photos are posted in my gallery. The Tambopato Macaw Project was begun in 1989, by naturalist Educardo Nycander to study the habits and history of wild Macaws in the South-Eastern Peru area. Backed by the support of the Wildlife Conservation Society the Tambopato Research Center was built in the center of a large uninhabited track of Virgin Rain Forest. The Center to this day is located at the Upper Tambopato River, south east of the city of Puerto Maldonado. The Collpa Colorado Clay-lick, lies 500 meters from the Center, home of the World's Largest avian clay-lick. Here researchers are able, from hidden observation platforms, to observe and document the natural social and pair-bonding/courtship behaviors of large species Macaws. The mineral rich clay deposits attract literally hundreds of parrots, and Macaws from across a large portion of the Peruvian rain forest. Congregating on this 550m long stripe of detoxifying clay on banks rising to 130feet high. The Macaw Project has drawn countless volunteers, in excess of 200 individuals from around the planet who come to study the tie between food abundance or clay lick access and nesting success. The study hopes to record whether the use of the clay lick correlates with the population numbers, as well as large Macaw nesting success. The tie between food supply, climate and the clay lick are unsure, but it is known that the clay is vital to the survival of the species. Wild parrots, and Macaws eat whatever fruit, seeds and other foods available at any given time. However, during dry,or overly humid weather many of their dietary sources are effected, forcing the birds to forage on unripened or overly ripened foods, many of which are toxic. The clay has been proven to remove these impurities from the Macaws/parrots digestive track making the foods nutritional and safe. Researchers are catching and banding wild Macaws in hopes to be able to track their nesting, foraging and social behaviors and to monitor the population health and numbers. Without this key information conservation efforts may be in vane in their efforts to safe the various Large species Macaws, and parrots in general. To learn more, or to see how you can help out please visiting on-line; Tambopato Macaw Project. I would like to take this moment to thank each of you for your friendship and awesome support. You are what true friends should be, and from my heart I thank you, with my heart filled with love, SKY-224183Come visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin--thanks for the update and vote-SKY NOVEMBER 11th Hello, this is SKY here with a very special blog to commemorate this Day of Remembrance. As we all stop to pause in deep reflection upon all those men, and women who gave their lives for our freedom let us not forget to thank them. Without their sacrifice we wouldn't stand here today. Among the countless Heroes of War is a small elite group of Captains that flew far and above the call of duty. This group is the "National Pigeon Service." This group made up exclusively of Carrier and Homing Pigeons who have been honored with saving thousands of lives both Military and Civilian. Carrier Pigeons were used for centuries to carry vital information during war and times of peace. During W.W.2, the Royal Army of England trained over 250,000 birds. The Royal Air Force relied on the Pigeons to the extent that a special squadron was formed to cull Falcons and Hawks that attacked them. In WW2 the Pigeons were dropped by plane into Nazi occupied Europe using mini-parachutes. Upon landing they were picked up by army personnel who placed secret, coded messages into the capsules secured to their legs. Upon release they'd fly hundreds of miles back home. Landing on their coops would trigger alarms notifying the Signal Corp a message had arrived. The message was retrieved and forwarded to it's destination by hand. These amazing feathered Soldiers would fly at 70-80mph and cover up to 700 miles, in as little as 10 hours, crossing some of the most perilous territory, often dodging bullets and birds of prey. In 1943, The Dicken's Medal was awarded to 32 Pigeons, acknowledging their bravery and determination during time of War. Also included among the recipients were 18 dogs, 3 horses, and 1 cat. A small number of these Pigeons also were awarded the French " Croix de Guere" for their distinguished services. A few notable Pigeons are; Commando--who carried out 90 successful missions Kenley Lass (1945)--the first bird to deliver intelligence from an agent in enemy occupied France on October 1940. Dutch Coast--(1942) who saved the lives of his aircrew when their plane was shot down. He traveled 288 miles in just 7.5 hours saving all. Mary of Exeter- a tough hen that serves 5 years being dropped repeatedly into France, returning to England. She was wounded 4 times; shot, attacked by a Falcon or Hawk and by stray Shrapnel. He owner, Charlie Brewer a Cobbler, fitted her with a leather neck collar saving her life. She lived another 10 years having 22 stitches in her 1 lb body=4000 in a 200lb man. These are only a few of the Birds of War. Please take a moment to remember them, they may have saved someone's life that you know. with my heart filled with love, SKYCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin Appreciate the update on Forrest. He sounds like a good guy. Maybe you could post some pics of him on your page? Well, Mom got out the full spectrum lamp and dusted it off this morning. I had not seen that thing since last March, so it scared the daylights (get it??) out of me. I flew across the room to my highest perch on top of the bookcase and waited to see what was going on. Once it was all set up, I knew what it was and that it wasn't going to move till Mom takes it down tonight. Not the same as outside, but it is only 59 degrees out there right now. Brrrr..... Hope everybirdy gets on over to the milonga page and signs up for football. Those who can't make the game can check it out at the milonga that evening, but it is going to be a doozy for sure. We already have 3 sign ups: Sky, Willie and Kaji, (and of course my wife SweetPepper will be playing) but there is room for 44 players total. If we don't get that many we will have some birdies playing both defense and offense. That should be some good eggxercise! Plus we have our first cheerleader, Falco. So who else is going to join her? Hi Griffin Things will calm down soon I'm sure. It's harder for your Mom with the new work demands but it'll get more back to normal soon. It's make you appreciate every minute you have with your Mom more I bet? It's amazing how a change in home and lots of love can correct behavior problems in birds. I have my wings crossed that the feathers will regrow. I've been so busy with my BOTM campaign that today is my first day to just stop by to visit." and I'm loving it. Hi Griffin November 6th Hi Every-Birdie, it's SKY, here to conclude our talk about Angel, and life here with Momma Deb. Angel became increasingly more aggressive, often growling, and lunging from hiding under the bed or dresser, where she took refuge. The owner was terrified of Angel making the matter worse. Angel began to guard the bedroom door refusing to allow her owner in, fearing the broom. Many days Angel remained unfed, and watered. The owner contacted our Momma Deb and related the problem she was having with Angel. Momma went to visit and see for herself the cause of the aggressiveness. Unable to bear leaving her behind, she was removed the home, and came here. She is now Momma's girl, sweet, trusting and highly interactive. These are only three of the many birds living with me who have suffered abuse and or neglect. Momma Deb has bred birds for 35 years, and is very adamant that would be owners "DO THEIR RESEARCH FIRST." All birds that leave here are on a no-questions asked return agreement at any point in their lives. Locally I have become sort of a celebrate. I visit Pet Stores, local festivals and other gatherings where I speak to people about birds, about the need for researching before one buys, and how to care for and handle a bird correctly. Although we have discouraged some from obtaining a pet bird, I feel happy that through education, they realized before they bought, that a bird was not for them. Every opportunity is taken to help bring public awareness to the need for community support of animal rescues, and specifically birds. Casey, my frother and I do all we can to teach humans the right way to communicate with us. Little by little we are seeing the positive results. One day I pray there shall no longer be a need for rescues and sanctuaries BUT until that day comes, my life's focus will be EDUCATION! Tomorrow we are visiting with one of our very own B.C. birdies and her Mom in a "SPOTLIGHT on CARING." with all my heart filled with love SKYCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin November 5th November 5th Hello it's SKY here, The weekend is over, and it is back to work Monday for many. I am looking forward to this upcoming week as we continue to explore, " EVERYTHING BIRDS" Today I would like to introduce my flockily. Many have come from situations that were far from ideal. Some of my flockily are here on BC. The one common denominator is that as varied as we are by species, life's stories, we all are happily sharing a safe, loving life with our Momma Deb. First, I would like to introduce my frother JESSE. Jesse was once a much loved pet, living in only one home until his Dad got ill and passed away. Jesse then was a much unwanted burden by his Momma. Moved from his large cage in the center of their world, to a small Quaker sized cage in a dark lonely corner, Jesse grieved for his beloved Dad. Over time his grief turned to anger, and vicious biting. Afraid, he was often unfed and left dirty. HE was sold to a lady that loved him, but was terrified of him all the same. He remained locked in for 18 months more, until Momma Deb heard of him, and decided to check it out. Jesse was surrendered to my Momma and came to live here. No longer caged, Momma Deb is the only one he trusts. Then came my fister, Little Angel, the families clown. Typical of all Blue crowned Conures she is outgoing and always into something. Little Angel was a pet owned by a young couple. Over time children came, life changed, work demands increased and she was lonely for all the attention she had previously known. Upset by her situation, she began pulling out a feather here and there. As stress increased she became a chronic feather chewer and puller. Her family was embarrassed by their now featherless bird. She was moved to a room away from people. When she vocally complained, Little Angel was moved to a closet where she lived many years often not fed or watered. Finally fed-up, the family took her to the Vet to have her euthanized. Cindy George who rescued me, worked there. Seeing Little Angel's happy, friendly manner both the Vet and Cindy refused to follow her owners request. Little Angel went into the same rescue I lived in. Momma Deb adopted Little Angel and she lives happily naked here with me. Today I would like to tell you a bit about my African Grey Congo fister ANGEL. Angel was bred and owned by her first owner. Finding work hours increasing the owner decided to sell Angel. Angel was purchased by a lady from Peterborough, Ontario. Having done no research, and lacking large bird skills, the woman soon found herself overwhelmed by Angels aggressive behaviour. Angel was so aggressive that she lunged and flew into people's faces to bite. She became violent and would attack without warning. Tomorrow I shall continue sharing about ANGEL, and talk a little about our life here. Congratulations to Dudley on winning BOTD- hope everybirdie stops by to visit him. with my heart filled with love, SKYCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin I think Auntie Jill's surgery is tomorrow. We are all praying for her. And hope Barney's dad comes thru his deal well too. My dad had that last year, and he is still with us. It is the think to do. Take care of it, and you get to stick around. The biggest news story here is the Frankenstorm. Mom and I have heard some terrible and inspiring stories on the TV and radio. People have lost their homes, but other people have stepped up to help them. It has to restore your faith in humans. They may be all right even if they don't have feathers. I got my sunbath in the front yard this morning about 10. It is very nice here, but what the heck is going on with this weather? We are going to have a balmy Halloween, which is just weird. Mom is making Taz's veggie pot pie for dinner. She has tweaked it several times for Dad's low protein diet, but we all three like it so it's a great meal. Thanks again, Taz! Hi Griffin GREAT news about Forrest not plucking. He needed to feel secure and loved. How's Mom's new job going? Sometimes a change is good, but it does take getting used to. Only a week left before SKY starts his BOTM campaign then I will be lucky to see the computer, let alone use it so I figured I'd better get over to see you now while I can. "Come on, I brought the truck, Dodge Ram, 4X4 and I'm heading to the KB. There's a BIG BOX there and everyone is trying to figure out what is in it. Thing is it isn't to be opened until the 26th. Maybe we can put our heads together and figure this mystery out.?" "Ok, Let's go Jesse. I can't wait to see what it it. I heard SKY is working on a secret project behind the KB for Ms Chirps? Can I have a look?" Griffin asks hopping into the truck beside Jesse. "Sure thing, let's go" the two boys are heading off to the KB, see you all thereCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin Sounds like things are kinda tough at your house right now. Hope Mom's new job settles down pretty quickly. Did she get a raise? (I hope) We are all over praying for Auntie Jill and sending her all our good thoughts. She should feel a lot better after this surgery, and that is the important part. The BC prayer circle will make sure she recovers quickly and that Mango and flock have their mom back healthy and happy. It is down to 90 for a high here today, and it is only 70 out there right now. However no sunbath today for poor Kiddo. There is some nasty Asian citrus eating bug invading our area, and they are spraying today. So I can't go outside. The man came by at 8:15 to remind Mom, but she already remembered. I can't go outside for four hours, and by then it will be too hot. Phooey. The good news is that all the forecasters agree the hot spell ends tomorrow with mid 80s, and then 70s for the weekend. Dad sure will be glad, because he has been on a tree trimming crusade. Mom may even try putting in her winter pansies, although she is worried we might have one more hot spell which would spell doom for the little guys. At any rate it will mean nice long sunbaths for me! KiddoCome visit me, BOTM CALENDAR PAGE, BOTM Founding Feathers, Wedding photos & Kiddo says Baseball Season is here!!!.

Hi Griffin Good news about Forrest not plucking. He just needed to feel safe. Our weather here sure took a downturn. It is actually so cool out there today (61 now at 11:15) that mom wore long sleeves and jeans to take a letter out to the mail box, and she says I may not get my sunbath, because there it may not get warm enough. We didn't get our thunderstorm (or the attack by aliens) last night, and although there are lots of clouds they don't look like there is any rain in them. Once again the weather geeks are all wet, but we aren't! It did seem pretty early for the first rain of the season. It shouldn't really happen for a couple of weeks yet. Mom was in such a good mood when she got home from the gym last night, that I got lots of hugs and kisses. A zumba buddy came up and asked if she had lost weight. She hasn't really, but it also was her measurement day with the trainer, and she lost an inch off her waist and hips, but added a little to her thighs and calves which he said was muscle gain. When she was doing zumba, she actually thought she looked thinner in the mirror...maybe? Or was it just because she was wearing black? Who knows, but it sure put her in a good mood. She even let me stay up a little later than usual, because we were having so much fun. I finally ate pomegranate, but she had to feed it to me one seed at a time. I didn't eat all that many, but it sure was fun. KiddoCome visit me, BOTM CALENDAR PAGE, BOTM Founding Feathers, Wedding photos & Kiddo says Baseball Season is here!!!.

Hi Griffin The tea idea is a good one. They say that teas made from natural herbs etc are great for us and helps calm us and heal our skins. A good home can work miracles for birds with behavior problems like feather pulling and screamers. It must be hard for your Mom to let any of the rescued birds go. My Momma Deb worries that they might get back into the same problems they came from, even though she is careful to screen new owners. Fishing is fun, but I love playing on my play gym. How about we go fishing at the kissing booth lake then come back here for a while. We can PLAY, eat and have fun inside where it's nice and warm. Today is sunny but very cool outside here. Hi Griffin WOW, you have one busy home. My Momma takes in rescue birds and usually they are here forever. Momma Deb thinks it's time to down size the breeding birds and devote her time to rescues and rehabilitating abused birds. I wasn't surprised to see your noisiest flock member is a conure. They are the noisiest here too, except JESSE when he's upset over something on his TV. Next month SKY runs for BOTM so I won't get much puter time but I will stop by when I can. You and I should plan on going fishing someday soon. We can use one of SKY's boats at the KB. Hi Griffin Has Forrest plucked less since he has been staying with your flock? I hope so, because it must be much more comfy there than where he came from. Have you ever had pomegranate? We birdies are supposed to love it, so Mom got me one. She cut it in quarters (it was little one), and then gave me a quarter to eat or destroy as I wished. I was terrified of it!! If you have had this so-called treat before and liked it, perhaps Mom presented it incorrectly? Any suggestions are appreciated. Like most of us, I was unable to get past my account page yesterday and couldn't blog. Not much happened, but it was a lovely day. Our weather is finally what it should be for this time of year. Today Mom and I went out after lunch!! We sat in the shade for a while, but it was a little cool and moved to the sun! What a change from a week ago. Good morning Griffin sorry I haven't been over in days but Momma Deb has had sooo much to do she hasn't been on here in ages. Yes, taking these big cages apart to wash is a pain but with the pressure washer they can stay together if they fit out the front door or sliding ones. It's very wet and cool here. First too hot now too cold can the sky ever get the weather perfect? I'm going to the Milonga tonight but I have no date. I will look for you there to say hello. your buddy JesseCome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY!!! This month's milonga is a return to our milonga roots. Date: Saturday, September 22 Time: 8PM EDT; 7PM CDT; 6PM MDT; 5PM PDT; 2PM HI Place: Milonga page #165848 Milonga is an Argentinian word meaning a cabaret or dance hall where the tango is the dance of choice. Many of our newer birdy members weren't around for the beginning of the milonga parties, so this month we are having a tango demonstration by Kiddo and the lovely SweetPepper who learned their dance moves from the original tango expert, Mangita, who is no longer with us. There will also be a Fox Trot exhibition by Hulk and the light footed Squeaky. And I am trying to get RaneBeau and Riley to show us their stuff too. So if you have a favorite ballroom dance you would like to show off with your honey, please be ready. This Saturday is your chance to shine. There will be a tasty and elegant spread prepared by Lizzie our gourmet chef, and the Pie Shoppe will be serving an incredible array of desserts to tempt any birdy palate. So come hungry one and all...and thirsty too. The TPB&G will be serving all your favorite libations. Now what is dancing without music? You guessed it. Sam and the Scruffy Birds Band will be be playing their hearts out, and the focus for this night will all be on dancing. So if you have a favorite song to dance to, you might want to let Sam know before the big night. So dig out your dancing shoes (that means you, Tooth) and dress up in your favorite party clothes, because this is gonna be a night to remember. We haven't had a milonga in the formal ballroom in quite a while, so just remember....it's fancy! You should be too!!! Kiddo & RaneBeauCome visit me, BOTM CALENDAR PAGE, BOTM Founding Feathers, Wedding photos & Kiddo says Baseball Season is here!!!.

Good morning Griffin So, your Mom isn't so big on POOP-art? I bet people would pay big bucks for a poop artwork. My Momma Deb isn't so big on it either. Hawks aren't good news ever. Maybe we Amazons attract them? I know when I go outside I have seen several circling above the river near us. Not too much happening here today. Today is pressure wash cages day. It is awesome to have a nice clean cage to mess up again. Have a good day Griffin, talk to you soon. Hi Griffin Glad to hear your hatchday was so great. I love birthdays too. I read your Momma had hers on the 9th? Belated birthday wishes to her from me. They've started working across the road to build water slides, whatever they are. I don't like the noisy trucks and extra traffic on MY road at all. I don't hold back telling them so. Stop by sometime and we can hang out or better still let me know when you might be available and we could go to the TPBG or somewhere for a drink? Talk to you soon, your buddy JESSECome visit me, JESSE, AMANDO, a Rain Forest Raider, little angel, jack, Sarah Little Bird, rally,, ANGEL, I'm a SILVER SLUGGER, 2nd baser, Zeena, I'm a Major League Beak, SKY & Miss BB ready for the Derby, Lupe', flynn, Poncho, Casey & Tia ready for the Derby, broken wings, broken promises & CASPER, I'm a White Hawk!!!.

Hi Griffin Today is Thursday, and that means cleaning day. You would think I would be happy because Mom doesn't go to the gym, but since she runs that noisy old sucking machine all over (except my room), and she is off doing Dad's laundry and sweepting and mopping the floor (which scares me), I don't see much of her till it is time to do my room. Needless to say I am never thrilled about that. I scold her while she is cleaning MY things, but it does no good. And my play stand!! She wipes it off every day, why in the world must she scrub it with poop off? There is nothing to speak of on there. Something about sterilizing....what is that? And then there is the silent sweeper. It may not make noise, but I hate it anyway. And it picks up any little tidbits I have saved for later snacks. Phooey!! Hello Griffin Thrilled you had a super time as the hatchday guy and then as our BOTD. Life's pretty sweet when ya have a couple of nice days like that, huh? And then for your family to have a dinner in your honor, well, the smiles, they just keep comin'. It's wonderful t'know a bird friend of mine is livin' the good life. Your flock, you always celebrate special occasions with such style. I gotta tell you, one time a flockmate's hatchday fell on a day that was already very busy for my mom. She considered letting it slip by without much fanfare but then she thought of your flock and how something special is always done for you birds so she rose to the occasion and made it a good day for the conure who was celebrating. Needless t'say, the members of the McFlock appreciate your flock's positive influence in our lives! R ('>Come visit me, RaneBeau ('>.

Hi Griffin It is still in the mid 90s here, and way too hot to go outside. We got out there this morning at 9, so I did get my sunbath but Mom kept spritzing me too. I think she has plans for a super spritz this afternoon, because it is 95 right now. No relief in sight before Sunday, and it seems like every time the weather geeks say it is going to cool down.....it doesn't!! At least Mom finally got a pic of the gardenia tree in bloom and posted it on my page. It looks pretty good, I guess. Today was the last Tuesday that Mom's friend Jolene taught the zumba class filling in for the crazy Russian who comes back next week. Hopefully all the people who said they would email the management about replacing the whacko will really do it. Mom certainly is. Parrotsonally I say leave well enough alone, because Mom doesn't really NEED to go to the gym on Tuesday. I need her here!
