Hey Jade !
It's been busy her ! On Thursday G'pa had mitralvalve replacement - but the good news is he started complaining about the hospital food ! Mom had to run out and get him a roast beef sandwich for dinner last night - now he wants fresh fruit and a muffin for breakfast !
Meanwhile, I stayed home alone and worked on a Father's Day present for dad . . . confetti ! ! Be good to your dad today and wish him a Happy Father's Day :)

Hey Jade
Well, not much of a weekend for me until the last couple hours - mom and dad had a graduation party yesterday and then since g'pa has surgery on Thursday, they celebrated Father's Day today. The weather is perfect - just about 80 and bright sunshiney ! So as soon as they got home I started yelling for my bathtub - boy I soaked everything and everyone ! ! ! Great fun :)

It sounds like you and dad and flock had a good weekend. We did too - after the rain the sun finally returned and now it's supposed to hit 90 for the next few days - and mom still has 18 days of school left !
Of course she and dad are away quite a bit these days. Dad's father is scheduled for mitralvalve replacement on June 13 so the parronts have been up there (they live about 25 miles away) helping whenever they can . . .

I'm glad that at least dad will be home with you today. I happen to like when my dad is home . . . he's far more generous with the snacks and treats than mom is ! I'm hoping for a bbq later today - I know mom made macaroni salad - and she even saved some for me before she added the mayo ! I can't wait !

GAME TOMORROW
Wanted to mention some of the regs for this year's bazbol cause I think we forgot to mention them earlier.
Be active on BC within days. “We will not allow a Player to participate whose parront has not visited the BirdChannel in weeks or months.”
(We will be playing a Monday thru Friday schedule this Season, posting all game results at 3:00 pm ET each afternoon.) Parronts who work during the day can post prior to and after the game.
Post at least twice on the Stadium page on our game days, once before a game and once after.
Team Rosters will be checked for participation monthly. If Players do not participate as is eggspected by accepting a position on the Team, they will be replaced by a Reserve Player
You are encouraged to post on teammates pages to develop Team unity.

That was fun
seeing you at the game yesterday - we quakers sure can raise a fuss when we want to huh ?
Mom has just 23 days left of school before summer vacation :) I can hardly wait . . . It was supposed to rain all week but the sun came out yesterday afternoon and it got warm and muggy - I got into my travel cage and went out on the deck with mom for a while. Till dad called that his car battery died. Mom had to go rescue him :( End of being outdoors . . .

I hope you had a great weekend and that mom is feeling better ! Geeesh, I hope her drs. can find some help for her - tell her we're praying !
My mom coaches the junior high drama club and their production is coming up next weekend - she has extra rehearsals every day this week - that means lots of in cage time for me ! At least dad will be home and by Mother's Day it will all be done and she'll be mine !
I've gotten out on the back deck a couple times this year - I do love the sunshine on my feathers !

I think you're right
better to stay home with Morgy bird than be subjected to all the questions if you went with mom. Besides you and Morgy can play some catch to get in shape. Mom sent off the spreadsheet with all our information and as soon as she gets a schedule from the commish, she'll get it to the team !
We are having perfect weather ! Tomorrow mom wants to put her flowers out in the planters on the back deck ! That was on last weekend's list ! I think sometime in mid-May we'll get to this weekend's list ! hahaha

Mom decided to stop complaining that our temperatures have been below average for this time of year. A garbage truck overturned yesterday near our house . . . ewwwwwww ! It tied up traffic so badly it took mom an hour and a half to make her 6 mile commute ! By then I was so hungry for my dinner I gave her a good scolding !
All our numbers are turned into the commish ! Soon as we have a schedule Cap'n Polly and I will get it out !

that's what it's like here today ! There are happy robins all over because of all the worms on the sidewalks !
I got a new cage ! Now I just have to wait for mom to mop it down and scrub the food and water bowl so I can move in. Also dad will move it over to my spring/summer/fall spot near the window. Mom says maybe one day we'll replace the old drafty windows so I can be there all year round !

Well, I survived my day
of torture ! I don't really understand why mom doesn't want me flying after her all over the house every time she leaves my sight ! Of course there are the perks - if I sit, pout and try to look pathetic I can usually get a couple extra treats or cuddles !
Tomorrow mom has an appt for her grooming ! Maybe she'll have hers done green to match me ! What do you think ?

How was your Easter ? I had a great day - the bunny brought me 4 plastic eggs ! One had a bell in it, one was full of popcorn, one had almonds and one had nutriberries ! It was really fun rolling them around the table and onto the floor !
Now mom is on vacation this week - of course there's tomorrow's day of doom - ahhh, I mean groom ! Poor, poor Cookie - at least it's early so I'll get it over quick ! Then home to pout and soak up some attention !

Cap'n Polly and I are just waiting to hear from the commish as to when games start - we going to try to pull together a practice sometime right after Easter (with Passover and Easter next week, we thought parronts might be too busy)
I'm still waiting for spring too ! Do you know just last Friday mom had a snow day ? And we have another storm coming in on Sunday night . . . it's getting real old, real fast !

I am so glad you and Morgy had a fun day at the bird club - I'm not allowed to go to ours ! Those humans have them the 3rd Wed. of each month at a restaurant ! ! I don't usually even get a birdie bag ! Can you believe that ?
We are also very happy that mom is feeling better - we were worried about her and praying very hard . . .

I hope each day finds mom feeling better
She's lucky to have all of you there to help take care of her . . .
Well, my mom was on mid-winter vacation this week. We had a great time - except for the day she was babysitting her 10 month old great-nephew. Even though he's not walking yet she had to keep a close on eye him. We did play one fun game together - Who Can Yell Louder !
This morning mom went to the grocery store "just in cae". It looks like the weekend storm will be mostly rain here but if the temperatures drop tomorrow night it could be icy ! Once when mom was a girl that happened and all the neighborhood kids were having ice-skating races around the block - on the roads !
