 Cookie left for the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday June 23rd, 2011...Mommy was keeping us on the porch because the weather has been so nice even through the night and we love getting sunshine and Mommy likes her AC at night, and a snake slithered its way onto the porch last night and Mommy came outside to hand feed the new babies from the bird rescue she's been helping out at 6 this morning to find a snake laying in the bottom of Cookie's cage...Mommy always thought Cookie was going to fly over the Rainbow Bridge because of old age...Thank you all for being such good feathered friends. ..Somewhere over the Rainbow, way up high. There's a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby...
Cookie came to me from a home that was unable to give him the extra love and affection that he thrives from. The previous family had only recently gotten him for their child's birthday gift; however, cat and Cookie didn't get along very well. Their family dog and cookie became instant friends, but the climbing cat was causing problems. So it was for an early birthday gift that Cookie became my little terror of the sky; my Cookie Monster.

I am a Peach-Faced Lovebird from Colonial Heights, VA.

 Peach-Faced Lovebird
Parsley, Rice, Kimchee, egg, grapes, celery
 The tops of people's heads, my bright yellow fuzzy hut (it's just so cozy and warm!) and in front of my lovely tri-fold mirror.
 Not getting kisses! Oh and Most recently so, my Mommy's Digital Camera in my cage, Oh I love hands in my cage don't get me wrong because that means I'm going to get picked up and a really great head rub, but the Camera thing... I dunno I think I have to get used to that...
 She loves to let me fly around the house, play with all of her friends when they come over, gives me refreshing running water baths on a very regular basis and scratches my head, which is just oh so fabulous!
 I only take baths in running water. I have to meet everyone that comes in the house and they must like to give kisses because he demands kisses!.
 Everything is mine, everyone belongs to me and if you've got lips; beware!.

Oh, Cookie, you are surely missed already! Our deepest condolences to your family. We aren't on much anymore. My mom is getting a divorce. It's been eight months now but it's almost over. We've lost a few friends in the interim, one of which was Honey Bunny. She really got us started in the BC a few years ago. Through her we made several good friends here that we're still in touch with to this day. Please stay in touch. We are on from time to time. I was near you, by your bed last night; I came to have a peek. I could see that
you were crying, you found it hard to sleep. I chattered to you softly as you
