 I am a rescue bird. When my sister and I came to our family I CHOSE my dad, hey how could you not want me?! I was malnurished and have a couple deformaties, but now I am well fed and happy and healthy.. |

Hi! My name is Jerry
I am a White-Capped Pionus from Benton City, WA.
 Jerry (my family was told I was male, then I started laying eggs, that showed them). Jer-bear, lady, and sweetie. Lady of the tiki hut. Mom calls me pig-pen becasue when I shake I leave a cloud just like that guy in the cartoon.

Fig newtons, nutri-berries, potatoes of any kind, and peanuts.
 My house, in front of the window, my shower pearch, the kitchen floor, and out in the other room with my dad.
 When other people in the house try to take me away from my daddy. When my sister comes near my house. Having my nails done. Wearing my harness so I can go outside.
 He gives me showers, rubs my head, and plays with me. When I am laying eggs he calls durring the day to check on me.
 I chase my dad through the house. I dunk ALL my food in my water dish. I lay my eggs in a tiki hut (my family could not find a nest big enough for me so I have a tiki hut. I had origionally decided to lay my eggs in the kitchen in front of the fridge but my family has since moved my hut to the bottom of my house). If my sister has a toy I have to have the exact same one. After breakfast I have to have something to chew on then take a nap.
 Put me in the window, give me a peanut, and then you may be permited to rub my head.....but only for as long as I say so. The princess has spoken! Now be gone with you.

We are sorry to say that Cappy has gone to live with a new mom. We miss him too much! We may be able to go visit him sometime. My mom is sad that she had to make the decision to find him another home but we think he is much happier there. Thanks for visiting.

This is Spirit. Thanks for the visit and the vote. I gave you one too. I am doing just fine with my handicap as well. Mom says I am her best behaved baby and the quietest one of the flock. She keeps kissing me all the time too. I love all the attention. Hope you have a great Easter Weekend!!

You don't live too far away from me (Yakima). Rescues are I think maybe the best adoptions around. It may take time to get them to trust you but when they make steps it is a day for rejoicing! Come visit me, Gus.
